Repetiría sin dudarlo

Está bastante bien ubicada. Tiene todas las cosas necesarias para pasar una estancia agradable y ellos son súper amables.

Por poner una pega, aunque no lo vemos tan importante, es que se escucha mucho el ruido de la calle o el viento si sopla fuerte y al no haber persianas y amanecer temprano entra la luz muy pronto.

A cool spot for a who like a creative design and coloured walls.

It was a very comfortable room with very creative furniture, made of wood. Everything was made by themselves. There is a kitchen, wich can be used by all guests. Everything is designed with passion.

Charming and comfortable, ideally located

Charming house, beautiful room, great facilities, exceptional location. We did not meet the hosts but the staff we did encounter was nice and helpful.

Zeer gezellig

Zeer gezellige kamer, kraaknet en met zeer veel smaak ingericht. Vlakbij een mooi strand. Een straffere lamp in de kamer zou leuk zijn want te zwak licht om te lezen.

De buurt is helemaal niet aangenaam, niks te zien en wat groezelige buurt. Als je niet surft of geen strand-ligger bent is het geen aanrader

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Die Insel Sal besuchten wir, da unser Flug zurück von dort startete.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, zwar nicht direkt am Strand von Santa Maria, aber dafür ruhig gelegen. Zum Strand sind es ca 500 m. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, daher kein Frühstück. Die Einrichtung ist besonders, teils aus alten Hölzern gefertigt, sehr stylilsch. Unser Zimmer hatte einen schönen Balkon.

A delightful gem on Sal island

I am so glad I trusted my instinct with this one and the great reviews I read about Casa Pau. Being at the heart of the community and away from the resorts was the best decision. Wonderful hosts, Rui and Berta are just brilliant, an excellent room and I felt as if I was at home from the moment I got there and could relax in the communal areas freely and peacefully. I look forward to visiting again one day and already miss the place.

Having to say goodbye to Casa Pau at the end of my trip 😢

Dit is een pracht van een gastenverblijf om in te verblijven. Mooie onderhouden tuin die wordt omringd door bloemen. Gezellig ingerichte slaapkamers , ruime gemeenschappelijke leefruimtes, centrale ligging in de nabijheid van het strand | supermarket| ontbijtplaatsjes| vele restaurantjes, rustige omgeving en hele vriendelijke, behulpzame eigenaars die je graag verder helpen. De eigenaars wensen voor de gasten een plekje te creëren alwaar je u thuis kan voelen, wat ik heb mogen ervaren. Het was een hartverwarmende ervaring. Enorm genoten, sterke aanrader. 🙏

Casa Pau als Geheimtipp

Casa Pau ist eine sehr schöne kleine Unterkunft, modern eingerichtet und hat Stil. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und sprechen perfekt Englisch. Wir haben uns ab dem ersten Moment wohlgefühlt und würden sofort wieder kommen. Vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit und Gastfreundschaft!

Wir können an der Unterkunft nichts aussetzen. Selbst am Tag der Abreise konnten wir noch in der Unterkunft bleiben (ausser dem Zimmer) und sämtliche Innen- und Aussenbereiche nutzen.

Eine Unterkunft zum Wohlfühlen

Sehr schöne Unterkunft und absolut zu empfehlen. Es gibt insgesamt 5 Zimmer. Alle sind sehr individuell und natürlich eingerichtet (+private Badezimmer). Das WLAN funktioniert im Wohnbereich sehr schnell. Außerdem haben die Duschen einen schönen heißen Wasserstrahl. Auf der Terrasse kann man gemütlich in den Hängematten entspannen oder am Tisch etwas spielen. Zur Abkühlung gibt es eine Dusche draußen. Bei Fragen oder Tipps kümmern sich Rui und Berta jederzeit um alles und ermöglichen einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt. Wir

Beautiful house. Comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

-Looks exactly like the pictures! -Spacious, extremely clean, well renovated and modern guesthouse. -Beautiful decor -Towels and sheets changed daily or every other day -Good location and very central to Santa Maria which was only a 5-10 min walk away. -Very good shower pressure, nice hot water. -I was worried no AC would be an issue but the house is cool and the ceiling fan is very effective! -Clear instructions and suggestions of where to visit. - Highly recommend a stay here

If I had to be extremely picky. - No full length mirror - Wi-Fi strength from my room (ponta preta) was weak but works well in the living area and some other areas. - If you are a very light sleeper like me, outside noise in the morning may wake you up along with the light coming in through the shutter blinds - Nonetheless, I would stay here again!!!!

Very nice accommodation for a stay in Santa Maria

Casa Pau is a beautifully furnished house with spacious rooms and an extremely helpful and friendly owner. We felt very comfortable. The rooms are very clean. The kitchen can be used. Feels a bit like your own house.

The area is a bit noisy in the evenings and it's a few minutes' walk into town.

Pleasant

There was no breakfast offered due to lack of staff, but this was not mentioned before on the website. There was a shared kitchen and table, which was also used privately by the host which is why you did not always have space to eat breakfast/eat. Also, the location is not optimal, to the actual beach it is another 30 minutes walk.

Beautiful family house renovated, next to the beach close to the center and conveniently away from the resorts and big hotels. Every detail of the house is taken care of and you can see all the love and effort put in this project. A great way of discovering the real Cabo Verde in a sustainable way. The owners are super helpful and flexible and we’ll help you enjoy your trip and find everything you look for in the island. Highly recommended! Best place I stayed on Sal. Great interior, comfortable beds, super clean. Easy communication.

Best place I stayed on Sal. Cool interior, spacious rooms (plenty of floor space for a yoga routine) and comfortable beds. Calm area. Nice hammock. Friendly owners and easy communication. I ordered the breakfast twice, and it was definitely worth the price.

+ very friendly and helpful stuff, very good and fast communication, they really care about their guests + good kitchen with all necessary tools to cook + beautiful, clean rooms with a nice design + close to the beach and kitesurfing school + close to the centre + we had a room with a balcony - supernice to chill there + cosy outside area with the hammock, place to eat outside

- barking dogs during night, but this is everywhere in Sal, so just take earplugs 😃

really nice and cozy beach house in Santa Maria

great B&b in an area that is close to the beach. the hosts are very nice and the room was kept clean, despite the inevitable sand we brought back from the beach. filtered water available which is appreciated. You also get access to a full kitchen and amenities for cooking. Santa Maria is also very safe for tourists.

nothing too important - there was a bit of noise during the night from outside due to the stray dogs in Santa Maria (they’re everywhere in Cape Verde), but nothing horrible.

Exceptional

Casa Pau feels like a home away. Berta is a lovely host heavily involved in Project Biodiversity which deserves an extra recognition! This is an organisation committed to conserving and restoring the island’s unique ecosystems. Make sure you visit Project Biodiversity's Turtle Hatchery on the beach by the RIU Hotel to observe the excavation of Loggerhead sea turtle nests, learn about the conservation of the species and have the chance to see baby Loggerhead turtles (each day at 4.30pm). You will as well get a chance to adopt a turtle and support this incredible organisation. Overall and without any doubts I would certainly come back to Casa Pau ! Note that I hardly ever leave any reviews :)

Beautiful stay in quiet part of town

This is a beautiful guest house in a quieter part of Santa Maria. It's clear a lot of care and attention has gone into making everything perfect for guests, and we had a wonderful stay.

The WiFi was a bit patchy in our room, but that's island life rather than the fault of the place!

Perfect place to relax and renew your energy!

Berta was very attentive and helpful. The room and private bathroom were clean and spacious. The location was perfect as it was a 10 minute walk to the center and a 3 minute walk to the closest mini market, restaurant and beach.

Absolutely loved my stay at Casa Pau. Even before arrival, Berta was so helpful and wonderful on email. Was great to have a cab sent to the airport as well, as there aren't ride-share services in Sal. The guidebook on Sal was so wonderful and comprehensive, really convenient to have access to a kettle and fridge, and hearing about Berta's work was lovely. Walking distance from everything and particularly good if you're diving with Eco Dive School (who are also great)! Casa Pau was really so brilliant, couldn't recommend more strongly for anyone visiting Sal.

Casa Pau is the perfect & quiet place to enjoy Santa Maria . The room was comfortable and clean, the location was great (not in the center but close to everything). Rui the host was amazing, helped us and made our stay pleasant.

Superb

Big hotels and resorts in Sal are endangering biodiversity. Don't go there!! Casa Pau instead offers a truly authentic experience in Santa Maria. We really liked the place and the people at Casa Pau. A big plus is that they have a professional filter for water, so that you can drink safely water from the tap without having to buy bottled water all the time and waste so much plastic.

Creative guesthouse that offers top value

- Common room / kitchen with many lovely handwritten tips and guides, board games, free drinking water - Large room with beautiful interior - Good location (close to everything i.e. supermarket, beach, restaurants, but not too close to the noisy center) - Good internet - Very friendly staff - Front porch with hanging matts to relax in and a playful house cat

- Bathroom has no ventilation, has to vent through room - Room had a upper row of window that couldn't be shaded and could bright in the morning

Clean and spacious eco-conscious hotel

This is a lovely eco-conscious hotel. We stayed 3 nights in Feb 2022. Our room was spacious with a nice outdoor area to sit in too. Our bathroom was nice with a good shower - it was private but located outside the bedroom. Staff/owners are friendly and helpful. Very useful kitchen. Ideal spot for exploring Santa Maria, which is a tourist resort with a nice vibe.
