Located in Indian Wells, this lovely house for $423 per night is a great option for your next vacation. The Legacy Villas community is one of the most sought after gated luxury communities in La Quinta. It sits adjacent to Waldorf Astoria’s La Quinta Luxury Resort and Spa. This luxury home is, literally, a 10-minute walk from the resort. But, why walk when you can ride to the resort on one of the home’s provided bikes, just waiting for you in the two-car garage, if you so choose? This beautifully maintained, 1800 square foot, Southwestern styled three-bedroom, three-bath home is nestled deep within the development away from all the commotion and it rests in the shadows of the desert's majestic mountains. And while the home boast three beautiful bedrooms, the living area's over-sized deep seat sectional sofa (not a sleep sofa) provides ample sleep comfort for two additional adult guests. After an arduous day of golf, tennis, swimming, bicycling or just plain lounging, the home’s patio offers you an ideal setting for evening cocktails and light fare. Being so close to the mountains, affords calm breezes during the day and cool evenings. Relax. The kitchen offers all the amenities, one would expect to find in a luxury home, even a Keurig coffee machine, for those of you just too spent to venture out to a Starbucks. There’s a pool and Jacuzzi 20 steps away from the home, which makes it most convenient for a quick dip or extended poolside lounging both during the day and in the evening. And should you bore with this pool fear not…there’s a total of 10 pools inside the community and you have access to them all! Sit by a different pool everyday of your stay! There’s also a clubhouse with a full exercise gym, which includes free weights and elliptical machines. Plus, miles of hiking or biking trails surrounding the community. Plantation ceiling fans throughout the home circulate the desert breezes or the centralized air conditioning. The home has two gas fireplaces and is equipped with cable television in the living room and each bed room. Huge sofas and over sized chairs beckon you to simply chill. The home is fully stocked with bed linens, bath towels, pool towels, shower soaps, shampoo, and conditioner. And with a full-size washer and dryer, you can wear that favorite shirt of yours every day of your stay with no complaints from others. You’re less than a 5-minute drive from Ol’ town La Quinta, a quaint laid back town, filled with all kinds of shops and restaurants to experience. And only a 10-minute drive from the world renowned, Indian Wells Tennis venue and the vaunted Eldorado Polo Club, where during the winter and early spring you can take in the polo matches. Then in late spring you can revel at the Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals held there each April. It doesn’t get much better than this and it’s all waiting for you at Legacy Mountain Shadows.

This is a very nice place in Legacy, our first time staying at this complex. The condo location is right next to one of the pools, which is good but can also be not so good, there was a large family with 7 or 8 very loud kids who hoarded the entire pool in the evening, so we couldn't even get in, but there are a dozen of other pools throughout the complex, so you have your picks, and there were bikes in the garage if you wanted to get around without a car. Plus, it was nice to jump in the cold pool early in the morning before the days starts heating up and there was nobody there.
The place itself is well laid out and spacious. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, even a bottle of wine to greet you, a very nice gesture. Beds were comfortable, living room sofa was large and comfy. Overall, we had a feeling that the place is professionally managed for short-term stay purposes, not somebody's grandma's place with old furniture leftovers used for extra income.
The host was very accommodating, we needed late checkout, he made it happen. Very safe complex, great neighborhood, near PGA West, near great restaurants and places to see.
So, overall very happy with the stay. Thank you!

We stayed at the Legacy Villas for a wedding at the neighboring resort. For a family of 6 was much more affordable. We were pleased with the short walk to the resort, about 10 minutes. The unit was comfortable and didn’t feel we were missing out on the resort experience. Was fun to have bikes in the garage and the comfort of a full living room, private courtyard and the pool for us to enjoy

Me and my friends had the best time staying at the house for Coachella. Everything was clean and cute and the location was SO convenient. You’re right next to the pool and can hang out on the little patio all day.
Our host was also amazing and very responsive before we even checked in.

We were short on some basic supplies but the cleaning lady dropped them off and apologized.

My husband and I stayed four nights with another couple and loved it! The location was perfect and the resort property is immaculate with great walking trails, pools, views and more.
All of the towels you added to address some of the concerns I read in pervious comments were more than enough and very nice (including pool towels). Thank you for the fabulous restaurant recommendations and special touches in the condo! We hope to stay there again when we can get away from Atlanta!

This is the 3rd or 4th year that we have stayed at Gordon’s and each year gets better. La Quinta is a perfect winter escape. Even with the California weather this year the Coachella Valley was perfect for outdoors activities and Legacy Villas are perfectly situated for all of them.
The unit is clean well appointed and perfect for family with a pool next door and a short walk to the main pool and clubhouse.
Fo sure we’ll be back next year.

In general the property was nice. It was cleaned before our arrival. However, there a a few things I would suggest. There has to be more bath towels per bedroom. to have only 2 bath towels and 2 wash cloths were unacceptable for us. Must have more supply of those items before we would stay again. Wifi was good, TV usage of remote was a little over whelming. Also please put a broom in the garage for guests to use as the patio was very very dirty and looks like landscaping or cleaning that area has been a long time.

My family of five day enjoyed a two night stay here. Very clean and had everything we needed. Owner was able to accommodate my requests and communicated efficiently. The location was great. The kids loved playing both in the pool behind the house and at the several bigger pools by the clubhouse. I would definitely want to stay here again!

Had a great time staying in the Legacy Villas. This condo was just steps from a pool which made it very convenient. The grounds of the Villas are beautiful and made our morning walks enjoyable.
Loved the large comfy sectional in this unit and all three bedrooms were as shown.

This was everything we were looking for and as advertised. Every room was very spacious and plenty of room for our big group to sit comfortably in the living room, there was 4 adults and 4 kids. Swimming was on the top of the list for all of us and having the pool literally steps away was a bonus. Very quiet surroundings with little to no outside foot traffic. The air conditioner was already on and pre set to a great temperature. There was tv's in every room if needed and plenty of pool towels available. If I had to make any suggestions I would say to have a list available for upcoming reservations what is available in the kitchen as well as bathrooms. We brought all our own shampoo and conditioner and bath soaps, however we didn't bring extra shower towels, dish soap, there were kitchen knives there but are very dull and could not cut veggies. The place is a bit worn which was ok for us and with the turn over of people understandable, however there was no mention to us about any prior damages and we were worried that we would get the blame..... we should have had some heads up prior to our arrival. The pro's out weigh any cons, would return for future get aways. I forgot to mention that having use to the garage was also a bonus.

We had a very nice stay in this unit at Legacy Villas. Check in was a breeze and the location is great right off one of the pools and having private garage access is a real benefit. There is plenty of space for a larger family and the kitchen came well equipped with everything you'd need to enjoy meals there. As others have mentioned, the furniture and linens have definitely seen their better days and their wear is really showing. This didn't detract from our stay too much, but it's not particularly obvious in the listing photos. Would still very much recommend this unit and we love the Legacy Villas community.

Poolside paradise!
Great location within Legacy Villas. We have stayed in Legacy Villas many times, always in different places, and this was the best location we have stayed in yet. The poolside patio was fantastic. Only minor complaint is the furniture, and kitchen are showing their age/use. Patio furniture is falling apart and much of the stuff in the kitchen is pretty beat up. It didn't affect our enjoyment of the place at all, we'd stay there again in a heartbeat. Gordon was very responsive to emails/messages through the VRBO app.

The property was great for our family to spend quality time together. Gordon is a very responsive owner and the only (very minor) issue we had at the onset was addressed quickly for us. I look forward to renting from him again.

Another great stay at Legacy
Second time we stayed at this home. We love the layout, the comfortable beds, the pet friendly living room and the garage is such a big plus. Location is great, next to a pool and across from the greenbelt. Will definitely rent again!

Great family vacay!
We just spent a week down in the desert and this was our second time staying at Legacy Villas and the first time in this unit. We loved it! One of the 14 pools and hot tub was right out front which made it very easy to go for a quick dip while kiddos were resting. Beds were comfortable and having a full kitchen made it so easy to prepare meals. The living room furniture could use an upgrade for sure but overall it was a clean unit with enough towels/kitchen utensils/etc that our group needed. We also wished there was an electric grill there we could have used. The welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch. We had zero issues while there, everything worked just fine!
The community over all is fantastic, it’s beautiful yet so family friendly. The main pool area is huge and there were always enough lounge chairs. It is a little bit of a walk from
The unit so be prepared to bring a stroller or some extra hands but it really is a beautiful walk through the property and we didn’t mind it one bit. We enjoyed walking around the community on the flat paved roads and also the rocky path at the base of the mountains. The unit comes with a couple of adult and teen bikes and we rented two for our littles under age 5 and it was great for them to ride around. The grounds are meticulous and we enjoyed seeing the roadrunners, jackrabbits and hummingbirds. Every evening after dinner we would walk over to the hammock garden for a little relaxation.
We rented some baby gear from Desert Baby Gear and also used walmart food delivery so once we arrived at the unit our pack and play/high chair/bikes and food and beverages were delivered no problem. Would highly recommend using either of those services as well. Downtown la Quinta is 3mins away and has everything you could need in terms of a great spot for lunch or dinner with the family or a night out with someone special. Our kids loved stuft pizza and nitrofusions ice cream there. Door dash had no problem delivering to us either if we didn’t feel like going out and it was wonderful sitting on the patio having a meal. Palm desert is a short beautiful drive right down the road and we enjoyed walking El Paseo and visiting the living desert zoo. We would absolutely stay here again and give it two thumbs up!

I really appreciated the kitchen - we cooked almost every night & it had everything we needed. There seem to be so many great places to eat in La Quinta, but the villa was so nice that all we wanted to do was stay in & enjoy the space! The beds were super comfortable & the showers were therapeutic! I couldn't get over how quiet the location was, even thought the pool was right off the patio. It was such a benefit to be able to watch the kids swim & not have to walk far to do so. The property has beautiful pathways to stroll, which was great for our dog.
Gordon was unfailingly responsive & accommodating! He quickly responded to any requests & questions. We could really tell how devoted of a host he is as he went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable, relaxing, & easy as possible!

Perfect location, close to polo fields and downtown La Quinta. Home was beautiful, clean, well appointed, and proximity to a pool was really convenient. Wish it had a grill but I guess that is a rule and owners can’t control it. Will definitely stay again!!

Great family stay
We enjoyed our trip to this La Quinta property. The kids enjoyed the pool and splash pad and the adults enjoyed the jacuzzis. The kitchen was well stocked to allow for us to cook at home. It was great to have separate bathrooms for each room. Gordon was quickly responsive when I had a question
