Nice clean rooms. Comfy bed. Parking. Good amenities. Complementary snacks and drinks. Convenient usb and plugs. TV with streaming services and good wifi.
Just a little bit far to walk into town for dinner on a cool evening. Easy drive though .

Our stay at The Archie & Isidore Hotel stood out as one of the highlights of our Cape Breton Road Trip. We knew we were in for a treat from the moment we stepped into our room. It was spacious, and the attention to detail was evident. There were candies, chocolates, and beverages including Nespresso coffee waiting for us :)
The beds were clean, comfortable, and welcoming, promising a restful night's sleep after our adventures on the road. The fluffy, white towels and bathrobes added a touch of luxury, making us feel pampered and cared for.
Nothing that I didn't like about this place :) I truly loved our stay here.

the room was extremely small

Property was very clean. Bathroom products were excellent. Lots of towels - a decided plus. Nespresso coffee was a bonus. Windows opened wide.
Bathroom door sticking was an annoyance. Too close to the highway - so traffic from early in the morning. Minibar products vastly overpriced - $4 for a bottle of water? Maybe in New York, but not Cheticamp.

Very nice room, clean and well appointed. There was no breakfast as we were told we were in the off season.

Great location with quiet room. Everything was very clean and the bed was comfortable. When they get the shared kitchen set up it will be a bonus for making your own breakfast. Excellent nespresso coffee in the rooms, even supplied decaf, a challenge to find in Cape Breton spots we found.
The room is small and the bathroom is tiny. If you carry too many extra pounds or you’re a bigger person the toilet would be a challenge to get to. Otherwise a good stay. The checkout time is 10:00. A little earlier than most accomodations.

Attention to detail was truly exceptional - the welcome note, the bathroom products, robes, room arrangement, cleanliness, really cannot say enough good things about this stay
Leaving - I wished we had booked another day or even two

Cute old house with interesting architectural details. Loved our view of the wharf out our window. Great location--right across from the water and close to restaurants. I liked the art in the room. I loved the thick, fluffy towels, and the fact that they gave us extras!
I always appreciate more counter (horizontal) space in the bathroom for all my toiletries. There wasn't much here. I appreciate that self check-in is becoming more popular these days, and the hosts did send several texts to check on us, but I really enjoy meeting people face to face and being able to chat with them. I missed that. Also, maybe in the future they could offer a simple continental breakfast so we don't have to go out looking for one.

both sides of bed had cubbies!
felt impersonal
room was a bit cramped—stuff on dresser, coffee area

Very clean, the amenities were a pleasant surprise, top quality.
The room air conditioner was a little too loud, some additional storage to hang clothing, or a nice size dresser.

Tidy rooms. Great shower. Central location.
Fishing port across the street had semi-trucks pull in running chillers day and night, which made it hard to sleep with the windows open. They also need an indoor common seating area for guest use.
