We are so pleased to offer you this beautiful, newly renovated lakeside cottage with lake rights and views of Oneida Lake! We have made every effort to allow all visitors to feel completely at home! The handicap accessible house is just steps away from a sandy beach (a rarity on Oneida Lake), gorgeous sunsets over the water, and is in a quiet setting-- all within 10 minutes of Turning Stone Casino, Sylvan Beach, the Boxing Hall of Fame and the town of Canastota (grocery store, shops and restaurants). Our property is newly renovated and has all the amenities. This bright, two bedroom cottage with an open floor plan has a spacious kitchen, dining room, and living room, 1 ½ baths, and an enclosed front porch. It boasts easy access (120 ft. away) to a sandy beach, ideal for swimming, sunbathing, and soaking up incredible sunsets every night. There is a very gradual increase in depth of water from the shoreline, and the bottom of the lake is soft and sandy, making swimming conditions incredibly safe and optimal for children and pets. The wooden deck and concrete patio behind the house are ideal for campfires around the fire pit, making for a casual evening of fun after a day in the sun. *Non-Smoking, pet-friendly cottage* Should you decide to bring your furry friend along, please be considerate of the neighborhood and keep your dog leashed!

This is a cute, nicely decorated, bright and spacious seasoned cottage. It could use a tiny bit more tlc such as a more comfy mattress and maybe some air-fresheners! The owners are super nice and very accommodating! I would stay here again!

Everything was perfect. The cottage was comfortable and fit our ever need. We spent a few days in the lake kayaking and swimming. In the evenings spent time sitting around a fire with a few friends.It was in a great location and extremely quiet. Chris and Jordana are such great host! We will for sure be back next year.

Convenient location allowing us to visit friends, family, and cemetary. Great location near Verona Beach State Park for hiking long well-kept trails. Enjoyed firepit and outdoor seating. Very considerate landord--excellent communication.

This is an older cottage with some updates, cable TV, lake access, washer/dryer, decent kitchen, 6 seat table, enclosed porch, deck, grill, off street paved parking, nice linens, dog friendly, and few neighbors in September. The cottage is on concrete piers and slopes to one side. There is a gas furnace but no gas. (Turns out there are 2 small electric heaters which do a great job but they weren't mentioned in the "welcome book.") The second bedroom is tiny and without even a shelf for storage. I would have preferred room darkening bedroom curtains as we went to relax and sleep late. Because it was after Labor Day, the week days were VERY quiet but the nearby campground was busy, loud and smoky on the weekend. Overall it was a nice experience, a chance to visit family and a cemetery and a mostly quiet relaxing week.

This was our second year staying here. We really enjoyed it. Very clean older cottage. Nice beach with access for renters. Convenient outdoor shower. Hosts are great. One item to note is that the full bath is only accessable though one of the bedrooms but there is a half bath off the living room.

This is a very clean property with lake views and easy lake access. Cottage is well maintained and was comfortable for our family of 3 adults. Owner has house across from cottage which allows for beautiful lake access. Would definitely stay here again when we return. Its also a very quiet neighborhood considering a small campground not far from property. It's a great Lake Oneida vacation cottage!

We lucked out w/good weather, so we were able to hang out on back deck most of time. We also liked the quiet of neighborhood. Reason we pick week right after Labor Day when we plan vacation. Being able to kayak w/out bringing mine was a big plus too.
Took so many pictures of cottage & lake. Sunsets to die for !!!
I could go on & on, We'll remember this vacation for along time.

Grew up on Oneida Lake, so anytime spent there is precious to me. Being in your cottage for a week made it that more special. We hardly ever left it. We lucked out w/good weather, so we were able to hang out on back deck most of time. We also liked the quiet of neighborhood. Reason we pick week right after Labor Day when we plan vacation. Being able to kayak w/out bringing mine was a big plus too.
Took so many pictures of cottage & lake. Sunsets to die for !!!
I could go on & on, We'll remember this vacation for along time.

The camp was comfy and large, you had room to move around in, without feeling like a can of sardines. If it wasn’t for all the rain we had this year, I think the beach would have been nice.

Great Spot!
Cute, clean little cottage. We were 3 adults with visiting grandchildren. Cottage not right on the water but just a short walk and an absolutely beautiful view of the lake. Great spot to wind up your day with a glass of wine! Fantastic beachfront safe for children to play and swim. Hosts are wonderful people. Very accommodating.

Just as promised
This rental is pretty much exactly as it appears in the listing. The only thing I'd note is that the second bedroom doesn't have a true door only a curtain. The cottage has pretty much everything you'd need for the week we did buy a sponge and laundry detergent. Although we didn't have the best weather we got a few nice afternoons on the lake and had a nice time. Everything was very clean and the owner was very responsive to any questions we had.

Nice Stay!
Very clean cottage and everything you need is supplied! Neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Sunsets are amazing! Living and dining rooms are very roomy. Didn't get to meet the Hosts but was excellent to deal with and very responsive to messages.

This place was great and the owner was so communicative; and, the lake and setting were so peaceful that it was a great trip for all (including doggy!) Having kayaks and a very clean place to stay really helped close out the summer nicely. We were there just after Labor Day and had the whole lake / beach area pretty much to ourselves. We also went hiking not too far away and plenty of grocery shops and necessities within a 15 min drive. Would definitely come back again!

A relaxing and peaceful week.
My family and I had a great week staying here. Everything that you may need is already there so no need to pack a lot. My kids enjoyed the sandy beach and the kayaks. Pet friendly so our dog could be with us too. One thing we all loved was the outside shower. It was nice to rinse off after the beach. We were very happy with our stay and Chris and Jordana are very friendly and attentive. Overall a great experience.

Fun peaceful week
Great little cottage with huge rewards!! We hit the jackpot here darling cottage with private beach! Everything restaurants, grocery stores etc. within 15-20 minutes. Beautiful sunsets to end every enjoyable day! Thank you Chris and Jordana for your hospitality😎�

The cottage is lovely, the sunsets are the best.
When we arrived the cottage was really clean - and just a short walk to the beach, which was almost deserted. There were 3 bald eagles in the area, and I saw them and heard them every day. The sunsets were amazing - every night - just as pictured. Chris and Jordana were great, and when the washing machine didn't work properly they replaced it the same day! I've already booked for next year - this cottage is a perfect place to relax.

Perfect annual stay family
We have 3 kids and a dog and this cottage is perfect. The lake is very clean and sand bottomed in this area. We have been coming back for 3 years now, and the owners are close by, lovely, friendly people and super helpful for anything you may need. Can’t recommend enough. And sunsets are consistently gorgeous!

A beach haven
Chris and Jordana were very gracious hosts. They made us feel very welcomed. The cottage was updated and very nicely decorated in my favorite theme "beach". Although not direct beach front, there was a good view of the lake from the cottage. The neighbors were friendly. The kitchen and bath were fully stocked with linens, pots, pans,utensils, appliances and tableware. There were beach toys and board games for all ages. The outdoor area featured dining tables, grill and space for our 4 year old grand daughter to run and play. We had one issue which the landlord immediately resolved. Really, all we needed to bring was our bathing suits and food. We have used VRBO to rent several beach vacation condos but never lake front cottage. The listing information and the photos are accurate. Thank you Chris and Jordana for hosting our vacation week. We hope to see you next year.

Very relaxing
Chris & Jordana are very accommodating ,making sure everything was perfect for a very relaxing stay. Everything is clean, the house , the bedding,the appliances even the beach! This was our third year at the house, with all the local restaurants , the quiet neighborhood, the lake & the beautiful sunsets we highly recommend a stay!

Very nice.
This was our third time renting this camp. The house is always clean. The owners are so very nice and always helpful. Already booked our week for next year. The house is second row from lake. Still only a short walk from the house to the lake.

Beach is perfect, sand all the way out. House has everything you need. If we needed an item it was there and easy to find. Clean and well maintained house and property. Owners are very nice and went out of there way to accommodate us. Would definitely rent again.

Oneida Lake Cottage
My wife and I rented this cottage to be near family who rented a larger cottage within walking distance. The Brown's, owners of the unit we rented, were very hospitable and helped us navigate our way through catering a large family outing on the last night we were there. The weather was beautiful the entire week with temps in the mid 80' to 90 degrees everyday and nighttime temps in the high 50's with no need for air conditioning. The cottage is well equipped and perfect for a couple or family with small kids.
Oneida Lake is beautiful with a sandy bottom and very shallow water allowing us to walk out at least 100' before it is over our heads. The warm weather coupled with shallow water made for great swimming, and we all spent 2 hours or more in the water each day; this was a mostly adult family outing. Although I did not catch any fish on my two extended tries during the week, a family member did land a 3 lb. bass on the last day.
Our family get together takes place every two years in Upstate New York and the next time we will definitely be looking at Oneida Lake again and hopefully staying at this cottage.
