About this condo rental
Located in Sidney, this attractive condo for $217 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Our bright, modern well equipped suite has walk-out access to the beach and an expansive ocean view from every window. There’s always some interesting wildlife to see. Bring your kayaks, bikes, SUPs or a good pair of walking shoes - or just curl up by the fireplace for a quiet weekend relaxing to the sound of waves on the beach. We're minutes away from Sidney, ferries, airport, buses and tons of things to do. We welcome guests from all ethnicities, religions, cultural heritage, gender orientations and identities. More information The space Our suite has a full well-equipped kitchen, a cozy gas fireplace and a luxurious bathroom with heated floors, large walk-in shower and locally made soaps and shampoo etc. It’s equipped with in-suite washer and dryer and more closet space than you’ll need even for longer stays. The suite has its own private entrance with keycode lock, so you can come and go as you wish. We live on the property but we respect your privacy and you may not even see us during your stay - unless you want to, in which case we'll be happy to help out with recommendations, directions, or other arrangements. We're renting the unit as a studio for one party of guests, with a sleeping area separated by sliding screens. An adjoining bedroom may be available for guests with family or for those wishing a fully separate sleeping space; please contact us for rates. Guest access Feel free to relax and dine on the patio, in the yard, in the big red chairs beachside, or of course on the beach itself. Let us know if you want to borrow the rowboat for a beautiful excursion along the shoreline if you are experienced on the water. Interaction with guests We live on the property and are available if you need assistance, but we will respect your privacy. With key-code entry you might not even see us - unless you want to, in which case we'd be happy to recommend local restaurants and attractions, good hikes, etc. Other things to note While the beach is eminently walkable, you'll need to walk down three steps and hop across a few logs to get there. Watch your step! We don't have cable but you're welcome to use our Netflix account, stream wirelessly to the AppleTV or connect your phone or tablet directly to the TV. There is no phone in the suite so if you don’t have one, just knock on our front door if you need to make a call.

Hard to pick a favorite part of our stay...
The heated bathroom floor was amazing. The chairs and seating areas for outside were perfect. We were easily able to get in touch with the hosts and they were quick with answers to questions. They were also quick in cleaning after we left which was GREAT since I left my passport behind and they found it, and worked very hard to get in touch with us to get it returned.
I fully intend for us to stay here again. I fell in love with Sydney and just being right on the water in this cozy home.

Having never been to Canada we really didn’t know much about the area. We just knew we didn’t want to stay in the city and we wanted near the water. Victoria is a short 20-30 minute drive. Sidney is just a few minutes away and is a charming little town with great restaurants.
This place is a spectacular gem. The pictures don’t come close to doing it justice. It’s impeccably clean and literally a few steps from the Salish Sea.
We enjoyed using the well-stocked kitchen and there were ample supplies of consumable items. They even supplied laundry soap and dryer sheets!
We had such a relaxing stay and hope to return someday. While we didn’t interact with John and Sarah in person, they checked in via email to be sure we had everything we needed. Other reviews talked about the comfort of the bed, and they are spot on. Not only is the bed comfortable, you have a direct view of the water, making it difficult to want to leave! We napped, read books, and just found such peace in this amazing place.

We absolutely loved John and Sarah’s oceanside unit.
It was amazingly peaceful to sit and watch the tide come and go while seeing herons, eagles, hummingbirds and many songbirds we tried to identify with the field book they have in the unit.
We can’t wait to visit again.

John and Sarah are the best hosts and their place is fantastic. Fully stocked with great finishes, comfy bed, about a 25 minute walk into Sidney along beach and boardwalk. But the best part is the view which cannot be beat. We saw otters and bald eagles and just enjoyed sitting on the deck. John and Sarah are totally available if needed but also leave you alone if that’s what you prefer. They were the loveliest hosts and we can only hope to come back!

The facility is spotless and has everything you could need. Good kitchen, comfortable bed, great shower and the view is unbelievable. Hosts are available if needed but give you all the privacy you could need! You have the entire downstairs floor to yourselves.👍

This studio was open, spacious and clean. It is right close to the waters edge with direct access and an amazing view. The kitchen is well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. The hosts live upstairs and are very helpful if needed. The only improvement needed would be having cable TV available, not just some streaming. Overall, it is a great place to stay. Highly recommend!

This is seaside living at its best. A very well planned suite equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay, complete with a very comfy bed. A pleasant walk along the beach to the quaint village of Sidney, and when the tide is out lots of beach for beach combing. John and Sarah are very good hosts. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

This beautiful suite is less than 50 feet from the waterfront with every amenity you will need on your holiday. There’s easy parking and as it turned out, great storm watching!
The kitchen is outfitted perfectly and we felt right at home. Our hosts were easy to reach and concerned about our comfort.

The booking went smoothly and the place was just as seen in the pics- lovely and serene. Very clean with everything you could need. A self- contained suite and owners will share info or just leave you to yourselves. Totally recommend this place!

Like previous guests and in these uncertain times I needed to quarantine after travelling in from England to visit family and was concerned about how that would feel. This was a perfect little spot and totally lived up to expectations. John and Sarah went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Everything was as described. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed immensely comfortable, the apartment beautifully laid out to take advantage of the outstanding views. It was light and airy but instantly cozy on cool days with a lovely log effect fire.
I could sit and watch the ocean from my bed in the morning and move around the gardens range of seating areas to eat, read, sketch, stay in the sun and watch the wildlife go by. I have taken an excessive amount of photos of sunrises and moonrise’s as they were so incredibly beautiful from this spot, not to mention the pictures of both Mount Baker and Mount Rainier and a variety of wildlife. The two week period just flew by and I was actually sad to leave!
I don’t hesitate to recommend this property and hope to come back myself at some point in the future to take advantage of the potential for going out on the water. I would love to be able to kayak round the bay and see more of the area 😊

Fabulous quiet one-level apartment with walkable oceanfront means a 'vacation within a vacation'. Guests have easy access to mainland ferries and YYJ airport, plus Butchart Gardens, the Gulf Islands, or hiking trails. A short 5 minute drive or scenic walk to shops and restaurants in Sidney by the Sea. Highway drive of 25 minutes puts you in the heart of Victoria, the most beautiful city on earth. Accommodation is spotlessly clean, well-equipped, modern, and far above average, with everything needed for short or long stays. Includes umbrella, binoculars, great comfy bed and bedding, cleaning supplies, and a barbecue. The kitchen is outfitted with quality cookware, cutlery, and dishes, plus all the extra gadgets any chef needs. Bathroom has a walk-in shower. The private outdoor patio and seating permits guests to enjoy the yard in comfort whilst viewing wildlife and ocean scenery. Friendly, helpful owners have managed to make this space feel like a private retreat, while providing 24 hour assistance if needed. A car is recommended for this vacation: parking is provided, and the unit is accessible down a clean flat pathway. Book this one early- as it is a gem in the industry!

I LOVED this place! Such an oasis!
Where to begin... The pictures of this property are beautiful, but we all know sometimes it doesn't look that way in reality. Well, I would say the pictures can't do this place justice. The home and view are STUNNING! The beach is literally steps from your doorstep; I loved the daily walks on the beach! I also really liked being able to just park my car and leave it as you can easily walk into town for whatever you need.
The owners are very lovely, thoughtful people. I admire how well they have designed and thought out this rental space. The shower is lovely, the bedding is very comfortable. I had everything I needed and more. I am already thinking of when I can go back. =)
