Mohamed was really helpful, gave us tips and showed us some local restaurants.
The breakfast and the terrace was amazing, very relaxing atmosphere
The rooms could be cleaner

Mohammed is the kindest, most helpful host imaginable. The view from the roof terrace is the absolute best in the Medina and the interior of this 450-yr-old Riad was a cool and peaceful shelter from the bustle outside. The location in the heart of the old city was perfect for exploring Fes. Our son adored the breakfasts, especially the chocolate drink Mohammed gave him as a treat.
Nothing to complain about. The room on the very top floor has no wifi but there was a sitting area one floor down we could use for this. The roof terrace more than made up for it

Clean property but probably a little past its sell by date. Some electrical fittings not working but a good hot shower. The manager was very helpful with suggestions for places to eat. A typical breakfast in the morning.
Some electrical fittings not working and a hard bed. But the manager allowed me to change rooms for a more comfortable one.

Very nice and helpful staff, always ready to advice or help with booking tickets, getting a bus or taxi. Big and good breakfast with a choice of sweet and savory. Amazing view from the rooftop terrace, perfect for watching sunsets. Also quite easy to find.

Don't expect anything flash from this 450 year old Riad. It's old and in need of maintenance, but is located well and the staff are very helpful.
No WiFi on the top floor room.

The property is absolutely beautiful and the owner is a lovely man! We were comfortable and wanted for nothing during our stay.
I don’t doubt that the location would be, for some, perfect; the riad is right in the middle of the old Médina, which is not without its perks. However, myself and my partner found Fes and in particular the old town to be very intense. You cannot leave the riad without being immediately hassled by very persistent vendors and young men in football shirts, to such an extent that we tended towards staying in at night because even the most simple of excursions became very stressful. You can also hear very clearly whatever is going on in the street outside as you try to fall asleep because the door to the riad is almost always kept wide open, including at night. Overall, if the riad was in a different part of town, we would 100% return, but unfortunately the location was not for us. Fes al Bali is wonderful for a day trip, but in general I think tourists might be happier and more comfortable in Ville Nouvelle.

Mohammad made this stay really special for my partner's daughter - she's 9 years old and it was her first time abroad. Mohammad was friendly, welcoming and caring, going all out to make her feel comfortable and at home. The Riad is absolutely beautiful, hands down one of the best in Fez due to it's character. We had a family suite with it's own balcony overlooking the inner courtyard - highly recommended. the view from the rooftop hang out area is also spectacular, looking out over the old city.

Great price/value ratio! Hotel is like a fairy tale, both interior and location. Mohamed makes the best tea and helps a lot!

Muhamed und Omar were very kind and helpful. Omar organized the city tour for us . The location was very good, close to Medina. The roof terrace with the view of Medina was amasing.
The room wasn't that clean, especially the bed. We got a different room then agreed.

This riad is beautiful, the price is great for the quality and Mohamed and Munir did everything to make us feel welcomed. The water pressure was awesome and although I first thought the mattress was too hard I ended up having a great sleep!! Nice rooftop with amazing view. I highly recommend.
I enjoyed everything.

Omar and Muhamed were excellent and helped our group with whatever we needed. Pleasant atmosphere, beautiful riad.
Rooms were not fully cleaned. Breakfast repetitive, no plates for breakfast ...

Riad looks amazing inside. Mohamed was so helpful and attentive, always there to help. The location is great, central, and easy to find. The view of the terrace is worth a million dollars. Breakfast was great and different every day.
You have to be aware it is not the hotel, so dont expect comfort that way. Our bed was really hard as a rock, but we survived 3 nights all thanks to Mohamed and the view :).

The staff were amazing. One of them was a lady who spoke great English, and was very helpful. I assume she was the one answering my questions on booking.com, she was really responsive. The other staff was a gentleman who I could not communicate with because he spoke Arabic/French, but he was nonetheless exceptionally friendly and did everything he could to help us when we had any requests. The staff here made our stay a very pleasant one. They even helped us book a taxi, and allowed us to store our bags after checkout
The breakfast served was standard Moroccan fare, but honestly fantastic. It was a big spread of food, and already included with the room. The rooms were also quite big, and might come with a balcony where you can lounge around in. There is a rooftop terrace with a great view of the old town of Fes, and a great place to just hang out.
The toilets were big, had ample hot water running too. The Riad does not have too many rooms so it was quite private. Location of the Riad was good too, you can easily walk to the Souks (markets) from the Riad.
The wifi was not the best. Also, you might miss the Riad's door sign if you approach from the other direction, because it only faces on way. Follow the Riad's instructions and you should be fine.

The staff was very nice and accommodating. Mohammed showed us the way to the riad and welcomed us with Moroccan tea. The riad is very well located. Unfortunately we were only here for one night, we would have liked to stay longer. Thank you

We have spent 15 days in Morocco and this was one of our best stays in the country!
The place is breathtaking from the first moment you get inside the Dar, it is such an historical building so it feel like you are sleeping in a wonderful museum.
The terrace has one of the best panoramic views of Fez, perfect for enjoying their good breakfast.
The location is very good, is close to the zouks, you have the food zouk 5 minutes away and a little “market shop” just around the corner opened the whole night in case you need anything. Some riads can be in a bit of a scary street in the night but the street of this one is very well illuminated and transited so its fine to go out at night.
The staff is the most wonderful people ever!! They made every effort for your stay to be a perfect experience.
We were arriving in the night so Mohammed came to pick us up in the parking to make sure we arrive safe and sound 🙂, another day we got a bit lost on the way back from the dinner and he even went out to search for us as soon as he saw we were not arriving back at the time I told him.
In conclusion, this is a place where you will feel like home. I very recommend it and definitely be coming back.
Some other people complaint in the reviews about the bathroom facilities being old, and since the bathroom was built +400 years ago IT IS old! but that is part of its charm, isn’t it?
The water is perfectly warm for the shower and you also have really good climatization in the room.
If you want to stay in the old medina you can’t expect to have a new build hotel like in a city 🤷🏻♀️ thats just how it is.

Everyone in the Dar is so friendly, we already miss them 😇 The view from the terrace is the best and they offered us tea all the time.
At some point a guy appeared at the hotel saying he will show us arround for free. We said we can't pay and we would go alone but he insisted he won't ask us for money, but at the end he did ask.

We were immediately greeted by the staff. They are so kind and very helpful. Mohammad walked with us to multiple people places and even helped us get bus tickets. Great spot where you can walk to the medina but also are far enough away to enjoy the quiet. Amazing views from the rooftop!!! Wonderful breakfast too. Would definitely recommend to others.
