for a short period, up to 8 adults occupied the house. It provided shelter and charm and left us all with happy memories.

the property is old, but maintained & really usable. Bedrooms are a good size, living area easily catered for 7 of us at one time. Not enough seating to eat at the table, but that was identified on the listing. We ate on our knee in the living area, which is right next to the kitchen/dining area. Lots of useable kitchen utensils (microwave, elec frypan, sandwich maker, pots & pans, even sharp knives) we cooked each night and were able to easily cater for everything we wanted to cook with what was supplied. The basement had all sorts of goodies - canoe, bikes, golf clubs... all to be used by the tenant. I'd stay here again, no question.

We recently returned form “Retide” and had a great time overall. The house is clean and has everything you need in the kitchen, the couch is comfy and the beds were great. It is wonderful to have clean linens and towels included in the price, and the garden and yard were great for the kids who made lots of friends with the kids from the caravan park adjacent. We were disappointed by the second bathroom which made coming back from the beach a challenge and being in the basement storage area meant the kids were scared to use it. While this was a minor hassle, a photo of this area would paint a clearer picture. We also felt a bit misled by the “balcony” listed, as it is very weathered and creaky wood and quite a small area. We wouldn’t have comfortable sat more than two people really. I see you are going to update this from other comments, and I am sure it will be very nice but probably shouldn’t be a selling point for now. It would also be a great addition to purchase an outdoor travel big enough for the occupancy which was less rickety than the present one, as the table inside only seats 5 at most. Overall though, you have a gem of a spot and this was a nice stay. For international and interstate visitors, it is so close to the 12 apostles and all the other stunning bays on this coast. It is really the most beautiful part of the world and peterborough is a great place to situate.

4 comfortable bedrooms. Great location as stated for water access, fishing etc. Great communication. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side and we couldn’t take advantage of all the wonderful equipment that was available to use, nobody’s fault. Managed to heat up living and kitchen area, bedrooms were cold and drafty in one, (bedding was sufficient), overall feeling, a bit damp. Needs a bit of work, parts of the smallish front deck needs replacing along with handrail. Parts under the eaves are gaping with birds nesting. BBQ under the house so we didn’t drag it out. Windows are weathered and wooden 1960’s original. Dining table would just fit 5. No dishwasher ( host never claimed there was one but we missed that) Again very obliging and communicative host, listing is accurate but the house is a bit more rustic than we anticipated. We had come from such a well set out cosy place in contrast ( and slightly cheaper) More of a problem because the weather was cold. Views are lovely, it’s peaceful and no doubt a lot of fun when warm and rustic features wouldn’t have been so noticed. Walk to the river and beach. Canoes, fishing etc. a summer house and needs a bit of work.

This accommodation was fine for our family weekend getaway. Whilst the weather wasn't on our side, this location made it very accessible to visit the sites along the Great Ocean Road. Owners assistance with some trouble shooting things were appreciated and responded too promptly. Thank you for a nice weekend.

Great location, very “beachy”, loved the place. It was very wet and windy so we spent quite a bit of time in house and it had everything we needed.
