About this cabin rental

Nestled in Moosehead Lake, this attractive cabin for $423 per night is a great option for your next trip. Private waterfront cabin located on the desirable western shore of Rockwood with beautiful 270 degree views of Moosehead Lake and Mt Kineo. The cabin sits on 3 acres of land with a large lawn and 600 feet of water frontage. Step out the front door to over 100 feet of permanent dock that provides protected deep water space for boats of all sizes. Within a couple miles of boat launch, marina, public landing, gas station and bar/restaurants. The cabin has old world charm with knotty pine walls and cathedral ceilings. Full kitchen and dining room table that can sit 8, large living room, 2 bedrooms and a full bath. Living Room has 3 sitting areas- (1) TV area with 2 full couches, 2 chairs and limited use fireplace . (2) Game/Relax area with full couch, card table and chairs (3) Sleeping area with 2 twin beds. (Will be converted to sitting/Tv area in summer of 2018). Master Bedroom has a queen bed/Second Bedroom-Full Bed and Bunk Bed. Cooking Grill outside and extensive covered exterior space for snowmobiles, picnic tables, etc. Guest Cottage- Large Bedroom with 2 full size beds, couch, fridge, Satellite TV and full bath. (guest house bathroom only available in spring/summer) Guest Cottage is additional cost per night. See additional fee's. Free wifi but this is not always guaranteed as there can be technical issues with the service. Usually works excellent. 4 Season Activities! Winter-Snowmobile/ATV trail only seconds away with access to hundreds of miles of trails. More than 100 miles of groomed cross country ski trails. Excellent Ice Fishing with the ability of watching your traps from the front windows of camp. Spring-within a mile of Moose River and some of the best spring fishing Moosehead offers. Summer- Phenomenal boating, swimming, hiking right out your front door. Take the boat over to the Mt Kineo Golf Course or hike to the top. Fall- Foliage and Hunting Season.

First, the pictures don't do the place justice. The cabin is amazing in so many ways! The windows, the cleanliness, the beds, the views, and the property. The cabin provided the perfect opportunity for the much needed recharge and recentering. I can't imagine staying anywhere else on the Lake. Thank you so much!

This cabin is sitting right on the water. Spectacular view of the mountains and beautiful sunsets. Very quiet and peaceful. For those who love to fish, hike or sightseeing this is the place to stay!

The arrival was very well coordinated with the owner. He provided all the information we needed. The cottage was equipped with everything we could have wanted, especially the kitchen. We were there during some very rainy weather, and just sitting and looking out the wonderful picture windows over the lake was so relaxing. The fire pit outside was a great feature, right on the lake shore, on our one nice evening. We hope to be returning in the future.

We could not imagine a better place to "get away from it all." The owners have invested so much care into every detail of their lakefront home. There is a breathtaking view from every room. We could not have enjoyed it more.

My husband and I needed a vacation, but are still hesitant about traveling during the Covid pandemic. We decided to stay in-state for a Maine winter vacation. This cabin was the perfect spot for our plans of ice fishing and snowmobiling. My husband is avid in these sports, me not so much. I bought some extra long johns and decided to try it all! What an amazing experience! The cabin is rustic Maine at its best! Plenty of space, well stocked, and a beautiful fireplace. Knowing we were bringing our dog with us, there was everything set out for her as well! Bed, dishes, and a ball! We were so comfortable there, we hated to leave! We will definitely rent it again! The location is so convenient to snowmobile trails, and around the cove a great place to eat and grab a drink. As is common in Maine, there is some sulfur smell in the water, but a filtration system is in place. We brought our own water anyway, so it wasn’t an issue. We highly recommend this cabin, and would love to see it in the summer as well! Easy to find, easy to “check in”. Matt was a great host. ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PLACE!

Favorite rental on Moosehead Lake. Clean, spacious, comfortable beds, kitchen has everything you need. Large dock for daily excursions to Kineo via boat. Large Yard provides room for games and a hammock to relax and enjoy the serenity of the lake.

This was my husband and I’s third trip to Moosehead Lake. We brought my parents to celebrate their 50th anniversary. This was our best trip and Matt was a wonderful host. We just wish it was a shorter drive from PA. We will be back!

My husband, pup and I loved this property! Mathew was great to work with. I truly believe this is a property like no other. Its location - actually remote- and views - spectacular- were beyond our expectations. It was a rare experience and worth the 5 hour drive!
