Frendly, kind and reassuring host.

In the lounge, you can listen to music and there was also a piano. It was a very luxurious space. The room and bed were also clean and comfortable. The host took a ticket for the ship instead of me, whose English is ambiguous. He is a friendly, kind and reassuring host.

There is no air conditioning, so you need to be patient with the heat.

Exceptional

We love everything about GinKgo. Owners of the place were very nice. Room was very clean. We were planning to spend most of our time in city center. But GinKgo was so perfect and we forgot to spend time in city center. Even we went to city center, we wanted to go back to GinKgo. Breakfast was delicious. Everything comes from garden to your plate. It is impossible to find you don’t like with this place. Also there are two more owners who are fluffy and named Mojo and Ohara. You will love them when they welcome you with their wiggling tails.

Exceptional

The owner made us feel very welcome, gave us a tour of the property. Very personal atmosphere. Clean, comfortable room and amenities. The house itself is great, you'd want to live there. With a big terrace, bar area, cozy furniture. Hand selected things for breakfast. Beer, wine, water provided for convenience.

The staff was very helpful. The room was so comfortable and beautifully appointed and breakfast was wonderful. GinKgo was well situated in Marseille in a peaceful quarter in close proximity to hiking to the Calanques or visiting Marseille. Loved this place!

Very good

Really friendly, cool, simple & quiet surrounding in an old comfortable house surrounded by a big garden in the middle of town. Interesting staff. Tasty breakfast with home made jams, interesting herb teas, the owner has flair for vegan cooking, apricot tarts... Perfect for resting after a long drive, very good location not far from the sea, from town & the autoroutes. It is our second visit & hopefully not the last.

Quiet getaway

It was a nice quiet location that was ideally situated for us to hike in Calanques National Park. The hosts were very pleasant and helpful in all respects. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed.

A Groovy Place in the City

We liked everything about the place. It's a bit outside of Marseille (about 15 minutes) This place is special, meaning it's not fancy, its natural. The garden is the main attraction. It's like a well maintained jungle. Like a refuge from the city. The host is super easy and cool, and nothing is a problem. The house is lovely, and there is great music playing adding to the atmosphere. It reminded me of a super hip commune. All chill and relaxed. Beautiful place to stay if you don't like the hustle of the city. If you ring the bell and no one answers, call him, he comes right away.

Honestly, we liked staying here. It wasn't what one would expect, but it was a groovy place to stay.

A private and natural piece of paradise

The breakfast is lovely prepared and served with the best quality and fresh ingredients like the tea. The herbs are collected directly from their garden and she prepared fresh organic tea for us every day. It was a delicious tea mix with new taste every day. The garden is actually their amazing source of medicinal plants of all sorts. The cafe area is surrounded by plants and trees, a little paradise where a family of parrots love to live. The owners were extremely friendly and attentious and we had everything we needed from their bar: wine, honey, dry leaves to prepare tea, a toaster and self-made peanut cookies. You may also use the fridge if you wish to storage the food you bring. They provided us great information about the Calanques area, activities and restaurants, and even about botanicals. Their dogs are lovely and respectful. We really enjoyed our stay!

The property is amazing but needs some improvements here and there. The shower is not practical as it is not fixed to the wall and we had to hold it while we bath. Wifi was not the fastest one but we also did not use it that much.

In general nice stay here, clean room, friendly staff, quite Airbnb feeling.

The breakfast is good, big room and the staffs are friendly.

The staffs didn't wear masks in this special time, it's not so covid-friendly, and there is no hairdryer in the room.

Great design of the room, wonderful garden and restaurant with delicious food. Super friendly service. Close to Calanques

If you are here without a car, unfortunately there are no buses anymore after 20.30 / 21.00 to go to the center or come back to Gingko

Nice place, some

The place is very nice, a green oasis in the new district - perfect if you don’t want / need to be the center of the city. The hosts are great and helpful, taking care of your needs and preferences (e.g. for breakfast). Our room was clean and nicely decorated. Selection of tea is available to all guests at all times. Great coffee also, by the way.

Breakfast is nice, with good fruit plate, but quite fixed - not many options. A bit sticky tables. I’m not fully comfortable with extra payment for our toddler son (bed and breakfast). The property warned us about it, so that’s fair. But I’d expect for that: - a baby cot with a mattress all bedding adapted for that (we had the cot and standard bed lined from big beds, no sleep mattress, just the floor of the cot, no baby pillow); - more food choice for the kid - in fact he ate what we had with us mostly; the good thing is that they helped to warm up his food though.
