Located in Venice Beach, this charming house for $257 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. We are located in the Historic and charming Ocean Park area of Santa Monica, safe and clean neighborhood, just blocks form the beach and neighborhood parks. This unique property has high ceilings throughout and offers a spacious, clean and comfortable large bedroom, full kitchen and sofa area, full bathroom with an antique claw foot tub and shower, walk in closet, and a private entrance. Enjoy an easy 8 block nieghborhood walk to Santa Monica beaches, and Main Street. We are halfway between The Santa Monica Pier and Venice Boardwalk. 1.1 miles in either direction. This 100 year old home is full of beautiful character details and has been updated for a few basic modern needs. There is a visitor parking permit that allows for street parking , usually right in front. ($150 fee if parking permit is not left on the property when guests check out.) The Queen sized bed can sleep 2 adults, and the futon sofa opens flat and will sleep one child or very petite adult. With 10 1/2 foot ceilings, the cottage is quiet, light and airy, very private. Enjoy the amazing front yard garden sitting at the porch table with your morning coffee. Clean and comfortable with attention to details... white cotton sheets, fluffy large towels, beach towels, Keurig coffee maker, Britta filtered water, beach chairs, large flat screen smart TV, wi-fi, bluetooth speaker, organic lotions and potions, bath salts and sunscreen all for your use. There are extra sheets for the futon and bed in the bedroom closet as well as brooms and mops. Laundry facilities are just a few blocks away. (for longer term rental, I will launder the sheets and towels weekly) We live in the Main house, and will be here for most arrivals and always available if needed.

Great location, nice hosts. Only observation is the walls are thin and you can hear things above and around you. It's a vintage home, though, so it comes with territory. :-)

Loved Lorna’s apartment! It is so cute and welcoming! We loved the front porch and had our breakfasts out there every morning. We appreciated the full kitchen. It met our needs perfectly. Also appreciated the large closet and dresser as I like to unpack our suitcases when we are on a vacation. The location was ideal for us. Very walkable to the beach and close to our favorite restaurants. Thank you Lorna for a wonderful stay!

Easy location to visit UCLA, USC, and other universities in the area. Quick walk to the beach and to good restaurants. The kitchen and bathroom are well-equipped. We enjoyed breakfasts and dinners on the porch nearly every day of our six day stay. Parking is free and plentiful. Highly recommend running on the ocean strand. Lorna was pleasant and easy to communicate with. We didn’t really need anything, but having her so close by was nice in case of emergency. If our teen chooses a So Cal school this could be our visiting base.

This listing is in a great location. It is within an easy one minute stroll to a really nice playground/park. The overall space is not huge but the kitchen area is fullsize and nice and can accommodate you making any meal. The proprietor is really nice and helpful. Very comfortable 11-day stay for us.

My mother & I had a fantastic stay. She came to visit the city & we had so much to do near the VRBO. Short distance to the beach. Located close to great coffee shops and restaurants. It was quiet, clean, & close to everything we needed!

We had a nice stay at the apartment in Santa Monica. It met our expectations. With a little ambition you could walk to Venice Beach, downtown Santa Monica and the ocean. Parking was convenient and easy. The owner told us of a nice laundromat nearby (we stayed 10 days). She was also helpful with restaurant and sight-seeing advice. My wife found a park nearby to play pickleball. Our main lesson-learned involved local weather issues which the owner cannot control. It's a bit cool near the ocean in Santa Monica in April. This can be amplified if the "marine layer" does not burn off during the day. If it's a higher probability of warm, sunny weather you're looking for while still being in the LA area in April, suggest you stay east of downtown LA in a place like Pasadena.

So glad we stayed here. The room was very pretty and clean. Perfect size for me and my husband I loved the neighborhood. Easy to walk to the beach and to my favorite breakfast restaurant Urth. No complaints. I think anyone would be happy staying here.

Good location. Nice size for 2-3 people. Host has beach towels. chairs and cooler for beach excursions. The only minor frustration was lack of hot water in kitchen and bathroom sinks. (Not an issue for the shower.)

Great location with good access to the Pacific Coast Highway or to the Santa Monica freeway in to Los Angeles. Plenty of parking with the provided permit. A few good restaurants nearby - Sadtha and Sushi Hanashi.

This place checked all the boxes for a busy work trip with some family time in the neighborhood. The full kitchen was great, the bed and tub were wonderful. A little sound spill from owners unit. Would stay again!

Great little guest quarters in a charming, historic home on a quiet street. The place is small (think studio size) but perfect for a couple or someone with children. My pre-teen daughter was very cozy on the little fold down futon (we used the mattress topper provided for extra comfort!). The kitchen is also small but well stocked and just enough space for my kids and I to snack and make a couple simple, small meals. Beach was in walking distance for me but a bit far for the kids to make the trek back and forth so we mostly drove. It’s about five minutes to the beach and five or so to the pier and promenade. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

This is a reasonably priced, convenient place to stay next time you come to Santa Monica! Close to the major places we went to and you can walk the beach every morning. The home is well stocked and owner was quick to respond to any of our questions. Will be back!

We loved our stay. We needed additional supplies and got them in about an hour. Very responsive. Neighborhood was quiet yet convenient to many of the Santa Monica attractions. No complaints at all. We would definitely stay here again.
