About this cottage rental
Nestled in Palmetto Bluff, this lovely cottage for $1,785 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Welcome to the "Low Country" life style. This three bedroom and a bunk room which sleeps 4 was built in 2015. It has two and half bathrooms and is located in the heart of Palmetto Bluff. Enjoy the backyard fire pit with chairs to roast marsh mellows or just relax and enjoy coffee or cocktails after your memorable day. A screened in porch has a seating area and an dining area. There is a gas grill available in addition to the well stocked kitchen. Palmetto Bluff is located in Southern Beaufort County, and is a short distance from the pristine beaches of Hilton Head Island, and the history and beauty of Savannah, Old Town Bluffton and Beaufort. This home includes a master bedroom suite on the first floor with an ensuite bathroom. A tastefully designed open concept kitchen and an adjacent great room with a fireplace and dining area. The second floor also includes one bedroom with a king bed and a second bedroom with a king bed. There is one full bathroom which both bedrooms share. The second floor also includes a comfortable "kids lounge" which includes a bunk bed (twin up and fulldown with a pull-out trundle) and a Yogibo pillow for additional kid-friendly comfort. This cottage is fully equipped with all linens and appliances, including a Sonos audio-visual system complete with flat screen TV's throughout out the cottage. The rear of the house includes a screened-in porch with dining table and an additional sitting area. If outside is your pleasure, there is a gas fired/log burning fire pit flanked by Adirondack-style chairs for evening relaxation. Adjacent to the cottage is the Wilson Lawn and Racquet Club which has tennis, pickleball, basketball, bocce ball, and croquet. Enjoy The Canoe Club Restaurant, Pools & Fitness Centers, the Moreland's Pools & Fitness Center and the many other on site restaurants including The River House, Octagon, Fore & Aft, The Canteen, Buffalo's, May River Grill after golfing and morning fresh pastries and coffee at Buzz. The Canoe Club and Moreland main pools have a bar and seasonal outside dining. A very short stroll from the cottage is the gourmet grocery store known as RT'S Market. Bicycling is a way of life at Palmetto Bluff, as is golf-cart travel. On-site activities include: canoeing, kayaking, boating, fishing, paddle boarding, tennis, pickleball, biking, basketball, croquet, bocce ball, nature hiking and golf at the May River Golf Club located within 1/4 mile of the cottage. There are numerous dining options inside Palmetto Bluff, and in nearby Bluffton and Savannah.

Palmetto Bluffs is nice for people who like gated communities and don’t mind plenty of rules (dress codes in restaurants like it is 1990), lack of character, or diversity. Sure- the physical property itself is beautiful and full of wildlife, but hard to imagine the wildlife thriving here much longer as they continue to expand and develop these special lowlands, particularly by dredging canals and clear cutting for new, much bigger homes. This place made me a little uncomfortable to be honest. But for those who beckon for the Antebellum south, well, you might feel at home here. Just be prepared to drive 25 minutes to get out of the gates and into the beautiful community of historic Bluffton (which is much more authentic, interesting, diverse and fun).
As for the house- it was fine. Paid golf cart deposit in advance but it didn’t work; we received refund for the cart. Also, there are photos of bikes in listing but there are actually no bikes. You can rent these things close by though. Food at Montage is really not good, but service staff is very nice.
Screen doors on porch were ripped apart so it got buggy at night when we were on porch. Hopefully that is fixed. And finally, no drip coffee machine or coffee press in house. There is a Keurig machine but if you really like coffee, bring something to make some decent coffee in.
If you like being around people who look, talk and play tennis & golf just like you, this is the place! You will absolutely love it. If you are looking for character and easy access to historic Bluffton or surrounding communities, skip Palmetto Bluffs altogether.

Perfection!
Where do I start? This house could not have been more perfect! Everything is so new and clean! The house had everything we needed, from kitchen appliances to games! I came with my girlfriends for a weekend away, but this house would also be great to come back with my husband and kids! The Gold Cart was a MUST as we used it to roam all around the property. We had 8 women so we rented another one and would highly recommend if you have more than 4 people!

We loved our stay at this home in Palmetto Bluff. The house is immaculate, everything feels brand new. The beds were so comfortable and every detail that a traveler could need was though of. Lisa and Audrey were very helpful. We had a hiccup getting our keys at the guard gate and they were very helpful and responsive. The location of the house is great- close to everything but peaceful and uncrowded too. The golf cart was definitely needed so is a big savings and so convenient to have waiting there upon arrival. We can’t wait to come back! PS my kids loved the giant beanbag in the bunk room!

Amazing home!!
We absolutely could not have loved this home more! It is beautifully decorated and has everything you need. You are feet away from the tennis courts which was great! We rented a golf cart and used the bikes that came with rental. It was the perfect way to enjoy the Pamletto Bluff resort. We used the gym and pools everyday. The restuarants in the area are great! We highly recommend the rental!!! You won’t be disappointed.

Very nice home
We used this home as a base for a long weekend and it met our needs perfectly. From great communication during the rental process and emails with instructions, to a clean comfortable home exactly as pictured we were overall very happy.
Having the use of Palmetto Bluff amenities doesn’t seem like a big deal but access to the pool, use of the restaurants, and having the golf cart to zip around made this an easy and stress free visit. Walking to RTs market was great!
The home was well insulated and extremely quiet. On the porch you can hear some traffic but with the doors closed you hear nothing.
We recommend this home and are grateful that we had an opportunity to stay right in the heart of things.

I cried when we got here, it is so beautiful!
My husband and our twin 11 year olds really loved our 1 week stay at Palmetto Bluff. I had spent a very long time researching where to go and stay as we were coming from Los Angeles. My brother lives in Georgia 5 hours away and we had stayed near him on a lake in the past, but that is all we knew of traveling to the South. We took several day trips out to Beaufort ( not my favorite), Savannah, historic Blufton (lunch at Cahils and Agave) then to Hilton Island where we hit Wal-Mart for groceries and the outlets. We liked the State Park (Atlantic Ocean) at the end of Ladys Island best where you could see trees still toppled over from Hurricane Bonnie where the water is so warm, lots of shells and great for pictures! Our stay on property especially at this beautiful house we rented in the Wilson area, was magical. So fun to toodle around and see all The beautiful homes and Montage hotel. The house is decorated beautifully. We rented the golf cart which is a must. We were very close to the tennis courts, but did not play. We ate at Buffalos 3-4 x. We cooked on the bbq 1x and made a bone fire for s'mores also. They have s'mores everynight here so that wasnt really necessary. We loved the pool and had lunch there 1x. We ventured over to The Moreland Village on the last night and played pool and had dinner at Coles which you need to make resetvations for or you sit out on the screened porch! Great for pictures there, such a beautiful view of the low country. We did the Dolphin Excursion on the beautiful May River with Geo which was amazing as we saw the dolphins actually throwing themselves on the land to catch fish. We went zip lining on Hilton Head, we had fun, but think that will be my last as I had done it before. The weather was a worry in August, but the first few days were very good in the low 80's, then a bit of heat and of course, humidity then a bit of rain. We actually loved the rain. Today we leave for the easy 1/2hour to the airport.
