About this cabin rental

Nestled in Mentone, this attractive cabin for $175 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Authentic 1950's log cabin in the town of Mentone. Sidewalk at the front door. Walk to stores, artist's shops & restaurants. Nearby activities include golf, a ski slope, a state park, camping, hiking along rivers & waterfalls. Private deck on the Little River a short walk away. The cabin has 2 bedrooms, a King & a Queen/2 baths and two full size futons . Sleeps 8. 60” TV in the living room and another one in the Den. Pet-Friendly, (an additional $35 cleaning fee is required). The cabin has plenty of room to spread out and relax in front of the native stone, wood burning fireplace in the living room or the gas logs in the den. Need a place to cheer your sports teams or watch a movie? There is a 60” TV over the living room fireplace and another one in the Den. We are conveniently located less than 1 mile from historic downtown Mentone. We are walking distance to 3 summer camps and steps away from artisan shops. A leisurely 4 minute walk brings you to the private deck on the Little River. Your own swimming hole averages 4 1/2 feet deep. The deck is supported by an old stone boathouse that has a laid stone floor extending into the river. Nature has provided a bank cut perfect for launching so bring your kayak. In less than 10 miles, you have 7 restaurants, 4 are less than a mile. Many allow "brown-bagging" and others serve adult beverages. There is so much opportunity for outdoor fun. Swimming, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, horseback riding, biking, rock climbing, bird watching or just relaxing and let the birds watch you. Downtown Mentone houses eclectic artist's and antique shops. There are more antique shops in the surrounding towns a short distance away.

We really enjoyed our stay at the log cabin. It was nicely furnished and very comfortable. When we first got there my husband found a dead mouse under the sink. He got rid of it and I was fine after he put it outside. You can delete the last sentence if you prefer because we really did have a great time.

The cabin was easy to find and close to DeSoto Falls, DeSoto State Park and Little river Canyon and Falls as well as other outdoor areas of interest. Check in was a breeze and the place was as described with plenty of room for us to spread out. Also, there was lots of space for the dogs to run around outside, however, it is not fenced and it is located off a very busy road. Overall a very comfortable place to stay and unwind.

Our stay at the Log Inn was quite good. I don't think it could have been any cleaner than it was when we walked in the door. We enjoyed relaxing for a week in this home. The kitchen was amazing with all the things that were there for us to use. The patio was my favorite place (when it wasn't raining) with the large umbrella, grill, and lovely view of the large backyard. The only downside for us (maybe not all) was the lighting. Could have used a few more lumens in all the lights. The owner was easy to reach and responsive. We would give it a 10.

We enjoyed our stay and the cabin was spacious. We liked having an easy walk to the Mentone Market and a convenient trip to the Falls and state park. The cabin was spacious and well equipped.

Nice older cabin, with plenty of room! Several options to enjoy the weather, either the screened in porch or chairs on the patio. Did not realize how close to the road it was, but still a great place! Would stay again!

The rental location was prefect for visiting Mentone, Desoto Falls, Fort Payne, Little River Canyon and High Falls Park. The cabin was very clean and cozy. We also enjoyed sitting on the private river deck one evening.

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was large and comfortable and within walking distance of town which was exactly what we wanted. We were able to go hiking and take lots of walks without taking ages to get there. The bathrooms are nice and large which is a plus if you have a large group.

Comfortable stay in the well appointed cabin with a good location. The cabin is large enough to accommodate 2 couples comfortably. It was just my husband and I but a larger family or 2 couples would have loved it. The wood burning fireplace was a plus. We would rent again 😊

4 “girls” celebrated 40 years of friendship in this spacious, well located cabin. We had plenty of room to spread out and all we needed in the kitchen. We could have used more toilet paper..had to buy some. Great local restaurants and scenery!

Perfect cabin, spacious and well-stocked. One of the best information binders we’ve ever seen. Every question answered. Our kids loved riding their bikes to Mentone Market on the sidewalk. The walk to the dock is lovely, and the kids fished every morning. This is a wonderful property that showcases everything that makes Mentone special.

We really enjoyed our stay in The Cabin. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. We ate out on the patio which was lovely and it got cool in the evening so we turned on the gas fireplace . It was cozy and wonderful!
