All the privacy and seclusion you could want, set in a tranquil and private setting, yet located within a couple minute drive from all the great eateries, events and sites of downtown Mentone, the Brow and Brow Park overlooking Valleyhead, Fort Payne and other towns down in the Valley. The Home has 2 Fireplaces, both wood burning - 1 Indoor in the Great Room, 1 outdoors on the homes 350 square foot screened in porch. PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT FURNISH FIREWOOD OR STARTER LOGS FOR THE HOME'S INDOOR OR OUTDOOR FIREPLACE ON THE SCREENED IN PORCH. Home is located just across the street from Little River. Water events and waterside access awaits - Wanting to experience some time sitting at the waters edge, enjoying one of Lookout Mountains natural wonders? Looking to kayak or canoe or even to take a swim in the river, simply inquire when submitting your booking request. Kayak and canoe rentals can obtained through local outfitters – Please inquire prior to or after booking. The home offers a 2 1/2 story vaulted ceiling Great Room, kitchen nook and kitchen with an island, open living floor plan and French pine walls and hardwood floors. Contemporary colored walls have been integrated in the bathrooms and kitchen area, and tile flooring has been laid in the downstairs bathroom floors. The Great Room also features a stacked-stone fireplace! Home sits on a private, fully wooded 3/4 acre lot which allows for serenity, privacy and a very peaceful, relaxing stay. Overall it was a great stay and we would go back for the price. Property is in a great location and was very comfortable for our family of 3 and our dog. Our phones had no service and internet was a major issue the whole trip. The 5G only worked 1 morning out of our entire 3 days there. The regular Internet either didn’t work or was so painfully slow you couldn’t do much on it. There were some minor maintenance issues we messaged the property manager about after we left (no service to communicate while we were there). They did not respond however, so hopefully they got the info. Overall is a great cabin for the price and being so close to downtown Mentone!

I go to Mentone a couple times each year and this is my 3rd stay in this cabin. It is absolutely òne of my favorite places to stay. The location is great and super close to everything, yet secluded just enough. It is perfect for a little R&R.

Cabin was very clean, easy to find and close to nearby shops. In a cul de sac so no traffic! If there was something we werent intirely happy with were the firm mattresses. They made it hard for us to sleep comfortably but maybe because we are used to a soft, plush king bed. Everything else was great!

We enjoyed some much needed quiet time. The cabin was perfect for my adult daughter and me. Everything was exactly as described, and communication was prompt and informative. Highly recommend for a fall getaway!

Although the foliage was not so good this year because of the drought, the stay was lovely. We enjoyed a fire in the fireplace every evening in the cozy family room. We loved having a big black cast iron skillet to fry fish in one night. The kitchen was well equipped and the house was clean and comfortable. We were able get to the Market in just minutes but we still had the feeling of being "out in the woods."

House is great for 2 couples. Has 2 suites and they are on different floors so you Get to spend time together and still have privacy. To us the back porch and that big fireplace was the best part. We built many fires and spent a lot of time visiting by the fire. Very clean and very close to town. Real easy to find. Wish we had known in advance there was 2 coffee makers so we could have brought some coffee pods. Highly recommend staying here!

The dwelling was located in the perfect spot for Mentone stay, but could use some TLC. Back porch screen door was busted completely through which provided no security from woodsy critters. Removed frying pan from underneath cabinet to find it had food crusted and stuck in pan…disgusting! Back porch hammock cloth was mildewed. Downstairs bedroom toilet leaks water into bowl continuously which was annoying trying to sleep. Ceiling fan blades were dusty. Upstairs bathroom mirror frame was broken. The house has a wonderful modern rustic interior and floor plan, just needs some attention. A little TLC “maintenance and cleanliness” would’ve made this Mentone cabin a much better stay.

Truly enjoyed our stay in this charming cabin. The craftsmanship and design are captivating. The screened porch and fireplace gave us great living space for board games and easy conversation in front of a beautiful fire. We were so comfortable that we played until 3:00 AM! Needed midnight coffee and cherry pie for that night! Of course morning coffee with a living room fire was an easy way to start the day. Kids joined us for a couple nights with their 6-week old daughter. They used the upstairs bedroom and the cubby room was perfect for all baby needs. Cabin is well stocked and very comfortable. We ordered a 1/2 truckload of wood for a week stay. It was there when we arrived. All appliances and utensils you might need are available. Our only negative was lack of cell service. However we were able to call using WIFI. Property manager is very welcoming and responsive to questions. The owner is also attentive and a wonderful host. A well appointed “get-away”! We are already planning another visit.

We loved the cabin. My favorite thing was the screened-in back porch. We sat out there for over an hour Saturday night listening to nothing but the crickets. So relaxing and not a worry on our minds. We will definitely be back.

Perfect location. Cabin was clean, well stocked, cozy, can not complain about one thing. Mentone was awesome. We were there for the longest yard sale. Google that, this cabin is close to it all. We loved the cabin and the town.

Rest Easy was an absolutely wonderful place in which to vacation! Upon entering this lovely home, we noticed how clean it looked and smelled. As we unpacked and prepared supper in the spacious kitchen, we were pleased to find everything we needed. During our week-long stay, we were able to enjoy the relaxing back porch, the fire-pit, and the comfy living room and bedrooms, each with large screen TVs. It was nice that each bedroom has its own bathroom, along with a separate half bath/laundry room. Rest Easy is situated in a quiet little community which made it a safe place in which to take daily walks with our pup. This home is conveniently located near state parks and a national preserve, so we took advantage of some hiking opportunities! We took scenic drives and even did some shopping in the nearby stores. We would definitely like to return to Rest Easy in the future!

Host truly keeps the guests in mind- plentiful amenities available, to include ample firewood!!. Exceptional space with quality materials and all in working order. Quiet, peaceful location with fairly easy access to attractions and town. Fantastic communication with host and property mgr. impressed with easy access to home upon checkin, which we find uncommon when renting a property. Highly recommend! Thank you!!

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay with our dogs. The property was very clean and as advertised. We were happy to find a pet friendly home. We spent most of our time on the back porch. It was a quiet peaceful stay.

The cabin was exactly what the website showed. Mentone, itself, closes restaurants and shops Monday-Thursday, so we had to drive to Fort Payne for dinner or shopping. We would have timed our trip differently if we had known.

We arrived at the cabin at about 4.30, unloaded our car, and immediately began to unwind. We found the no phone service to be a plus. No calls coming in, and none that couldn't wait to be returned. The furniture was comfortable, and the downstairs bed (the one I slept in) was very comfortable. We also spent a great deal of time on the screened back porch. All in all, a great stay.

Wonderful stay. We had an issue with the electronic lock but the manager responded instantly and it was taken care of. I wish it had not been the middle.of the summer as we would.have loved to have used one of the fire places!
