Located in Mentone, this lovely cabin for $646 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Lakefront Living at it's best! Bring the whole family & make the memories you'll cherish forever. Eagle's Rest & Owl's Perch sit side by side overlooking Eagle Lake. These cabins can accommodate up to 16 quests with a combination of 5 bedrooms, 4 ½ baths, 2 full kitchens, 2 livings rooms, a pool table & air hockey table! Outdoors you'll find two fire pits, two charcoal grills, kayak, canoe, paddleboat, your own dock on the lake, & plenty of room for fun! These cabins, are also pet friendly! This property contains TWO cabins, side by side on Eagle Lake. A large front porch welcomes you to Eagle's Rest overlooking beautiful Eagle Lake. Upon entering this gorgeous custom cabin, you'll find the comfy living room with wood floors and a stone, woodburning fireplace, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Whimsical details can be found throughout this unique cabin including door handles carved by a local artist and interesting art throughout. There is also a game room stocked with plenty of games, puzzles and toys and an air hockey table. The quiet and inviting king-sized en suite master bedroom is on the main level. A powder room and a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer finishes out the main level. Upstairs you'll find another full-size bath as well as a loft style bedroom with queen size bed plus two twin size beds. Enjoy views of Eagle Lake while relaxing on the screened porch, accessible from both the living room and the master bedroom. The outdoor space features a large yard, lots of sitting and outdoor dining areas, a charcoal grill and an antique forged iron fountain on the patio. Bring your fishing gear to fish off the dock or cruise around the lake on our paddleboat or your own kayak or canoe. Please bring your own lifejackets. Owl's Perch is nestled beside the neighboring cabin and overlooks gorgeous Eagle Lake. The cabin has that wonderful rustic Mentone feel while offering all the creature comforts of home. A brand new fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and an outdoor charcoal grill will have you prepping meals for the fam to enjoy either at the indoor dining table or at the lakeside picnic table. A cozy living room with flat screen tv, leads you out onto the screened porch overlooking Eagle Lake. There are two bedrooms downstairs: one private with a queen bed and TV; the other with twin bed and another twin sized custom-built top bunk. A full-sized bath with clawfoot tub and shower is also on the main level in addition to a laundry room with full size washer and dryer. On your way upstairs, stop off in the game room with full size pool table, games, puzzles, toys for the kids and a reading nook as well as another full-size bath. Upstairs loft bedroom offers lots of space with a queen bed + full bed, a custom dollhouse and a cozy seating area. There's plenty of space to play outdoors in the large lakefront yard. Relax while fishing on the shared dock (bring your own gear). Take a cruise around Eagle Lake on the paddleboard or canoe provided with this cabin. Please bring your own lifejackets and beach towels. Enjoy smores around the private fire pit tucked behind the cabin near the woods. We have lots of outdoor seating for you to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening cocktail on the screened-in porch overlooking the lake or relaxing on the spacious deck by the antique fountain. These cabins are completely separate with separate entrances and screened porches but they are joined by a deck. Located approximately 5-10 minutes from downtown Mentone, 10 minutes to Desoto State Park, 30 minutes to Cloudland State Park.

Our family of 16 rented both cabins for the weekend. The cabins are located in a quiet peaceful area with peaceful views. The rain kept us from hanging out at the lake or the fire pits, but there was plenty of playing pool, air hockey, card games, as well as creating a few puzzles. We utilized the well stocked kitchen and enjoyed a great meal together. It was a weekend full of family time, reminiscing, and making new memories.

My friends and I had been discussing just such a trip for about a year. We were finally able to pull it off this November weekend. The house is exceptional in all aspects and covered all of our general needs in fine fashion. But it was the setting itself that made the weekend so memorable. Leaves changing, cool temperatures, cloudless skies, the wonderful house and all it offers and the addition of friends rarely seen made it as fun and relaxing and peaceful a time as had in quite a while. Many thanks to Holly for being so great and easy to work with.

Womens Retreat was a great success! We rented both cabins and filled them up. It was beautiful and peaceful with a great lake view walking trail and fire pits. It was neat and clean a lot of unique decor and had everything we needed. We are already planning our return for next year. Minutes from Mentone

We come to Mentone once a year for a dance weekend and have had various experiences with renting houses/cabins. This was one of the best places we've stayed. The common area between the 2 houses proved a great place to hang out. We cooked a lot, did a little paddling and enjoyed being together. Nice spot for a large group

Our group had a great time at Eagles Rest and Owls Perch. We had fun making meals together in the fully stocked kitchens and having a movie night and fellowship in the living room area at Eagles Rest. The kids enjoyed the foosball table and pool table. We all enjoyed the lake with the kayak and canoe. Both cabins were connected by the back porch which made it convenient to have both groups close enough but have individual space as well.
We could have used more necessities like trash bags, toilet paper, and a few more shower towels. But we made a quick trip down to family dollar (12 mins) and got what we needed.
Overall it was a wonderful trip and we plan to visit again in the future. Thank you!

Surrounded by trees, these 2 cabins sit back from a quiet and peaceful lake (Eagle Lake). We stayed in both cabins because we are a large family and there were plenty of sleeping areas and blankets for everyone to be warm and cozy at night. We grilled at night or cooked in the fully stocked kitchens. We made s’mores at night by the fire pit and talked with each other into the wee hours of night. During the day we canoed, kayaked and cruised the lake in the paddle boat, visited Desoto Park and Little River Canyon for hikes and visiting waterfalls. We had 1 stormy day and we played games and laughed all day and napped to the sound of rain on the metal roof. These cabins are decorated with pieces from local artists and are designed to perfectly compliment each other with a shared common area. The had plenty of books to read, puzzles and games. We loved our stay here. Any questions or concerns were addressed by the owner quickly and Holly was so nice to us. We hope to visit again next year!

Set up for both Eagle's Rest and Owl Perch are nice for large gatherings. Enough room inside and outside so you are not on top of each other. Both beautifully decorated and both very well stocked kitchens.

This place was absolutely wonderful. Everything was exactly how it it was explained on the site. All rooms and bathrooms were very clean and well kept. There were 14 of us and we had plenty of room and plenty of things to do. We loved getting out on the water in the boat and canoe. We enjoyed s’mores by the fire pit and we had fun roasting wieners as well. This is a great place for a family gathering and making great memories. We truly loved it!!

We spent the weekend celebrating our parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. We had 7 adults and three teenagers, and between the two cabins there was plenty of space to spread out. The bedrooms and bathrooms accommodated us just perfectly. Everyone had their own space. We cooked our meals and ate together in the main cabin. The football fans were able to go back to Owl’s Perch after dinner and watch football while the rest of us visited in Eagles Rest. We used the main fire pit on a daily basis, and it was lovely looking out at the pond. A big hit definitely was the pool table! The teenage cousins (and the adults) spent a lot of time playing pool. The location was lovely and quiet. It was the perfect place for a family getaway! The cabins were clean and well stocked with anything you would need for a long weekend.

This was the absolutely perfect spot to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday with all of our family! Plenty of space for everyone!! We enjoyed s’mores, cooked up yummy food on the grills, fished from the dock & used the paddle boat & kayak to enjoy Eagle Lake! Fierce competition with the kids with the corn hole boards and the adults enjoyed a glass of wine around the fire! Everything we needed plus more! We have already booked for next Fall!

This property was just what we were looking for! We needed a place for my dad and his siblings to reunite for a needed get together. It was great seeing them watch the Bama game together for the first time in years. 😊 With both cabins there was plenty of room! All amenities were provided! We also enjoyed fishing and kayaking in the lake. Serene place!!

Peaceful retreat
Holly, the concierge was a joy to work with. We were celebrating Christmas in July and they were gracious enough to decorate a bit and allowed us use of their tree. We had all 5 kids, their spouses and 4 grands. Plenty of room for all. The lake was fun...we fished, boated and swam. We will definitely be back!

5 of us stayed here for our 30 high school reunion trip. It was GREAT! We had plenty of room and tons of stuff to do. We were able to relax and reminisce about our "glory days"! The fire pit and pool table were big hits. We also caught some good size bass in the lake.

Weekend guys trip
5 of us stayed here for our 30 high school reunion trip. It was GREAT! We had plenty of room and tons of stuff to do. We were able to relax and reminisce about our "glory days"! The fire pit and pool table were big hits. We also caught some good size bass in the lake.

This property was just perfect for us! We hadn't seen each other since the beginning of the pandemic and had 2 babies during that time who hadn't met yet. This was a very special trip, and we are so happy we chose these cabins. We rented both. Spacious and extremely comfortable with gorgeous porch and outdoor space. The kids had a great time swimming, fishing, exploring, and paddle boating. The babies were very comfortable as well. We will book again! Highly, highly recommend this spot and hosts. I would have done another week. lol.

This cabin and the adjoining cabin was perfect for our short getaway with our kids and young grandchildren. The cabins were unique and cozy. There were a multitude of games and books for the young ones and the older kids enjoyed the pool table and fire pits. We plan on returning hopefully soon 🤗

We took a last minute getaway and rented both cabins. Both cabins were clean and made our stay so enjoyable. The owner was very responsive and answered any questions quickly. We loved the fire pits, and the screened patios and porches. The kids loved the air hockey and pool tables along with all the games and books. We ate smoores, cooked chili and enjoyed ourselves. This was such a fun and cozy cabin. We would love to come back to use the paddle boats and canoes in the spring and summer. We enjoyed ourselves!

Our family enjoyed the relax atmosphere and coziness of the home. There was plenty of room for the children to play and the adults to talk and share with one another. All the amenities that were there were explored and it was a wonderful weekend to spend New Year Eve and New Year Day. We have precious memories of our time there with family!
