This property, overlooking Torch Lake, was perfect for our party of 6 over the Christmas holiday. One of the best stocked kitchens that we've encountered in our many VRBO stays. We were able to cook everything we wanted and the local Village Market provided all the groceries we could have hoped for within a 6 mile trip. We did not miss the unavailable WiFi and the comprehensive channels provided via DirecTV allowed fine viewing by the wood burning fireplace. The game cabinet was extremely well stocked. If you bring your own DVDs be sure to bring BlueRay. We brought standard DVDs and could not figure a work around. There are instructions for the sauna but none for use of the TV sound system or DVD player. The upstairs bathroom is extremely cold (we were there in winter) and the hot water heater does not allow for fully filling the jacuzzi tub. Upstairs shower is awkward for use (unless you're sitting to shave). Downstairs shower was fine. Downstairs bedroom with the queen bed is very warm at night even with the thermostat lowered to 65. (There is a hot water heater in the closet in that room). Proximity to Shanty Creek with free ski lift tickets on Christmas Day was a bonus with this property. We also enjoyed beautiful winter hiking from this property down to the lakeside.
