Příjemný pobyt, příjemný personál.

Výborné snídaně, výborná poloha, k dispozici bazén a pláž mateřského hotelu. Prostorný apartmán s balkónem (využit hlavně k sušení ručníků a plavek).

Spíše jen varování - apartmán situován ve 3. poschodí, relativně úzké schodiště, bez výtahu. Na postelích chyběly moskytiéry, naštěstí nebyla sezóna komárů.

PARFAIT

L'architecture de l'établissement typiquement locale a ce cachet authentique que n'ont pas les établissements modernes. Mais pour moi le plus appréciable réside dans la gentillesse et la disponibilité du personnel. Ces gens-là sont de vrais professionnels du tourisme comme il est rare de trouver dans d'autres pays. Un grand bravo et un grand merci à eux.

REALLY BAD

The breakfast was good.

Unfortunately, my stay in Tembo hotel went really bad. I will not recommend. I booked the B&B of Tembo hotel. First of all, it's 2 or 3 blocks away from the main bulding. Which mean that to take your breakfast you have to cross a big boulevard with a lot of taxi and cars. This takes 5 or 6 minutes . Second at the B&B, you dont' have any nice view like the pictures showed, no swimming pool or sea views. Third you don't have reception there, so if you have any problem or questions .... One time, I came back very late in the night and I didn't find any guard there which is very dangerous especially when you travel alone like me. I felt unsafe in this hotel. I spoke with the hotel about my situation and at least they heard me and they gave a discount. But, for all of this, I will not recommend this hotel.

Clean spacy room and bathroom, good location

No chairs and table as basic equipment (available on demand), little dark rooms from garden side, no elevator but ok (only stairs), walking distance to main hotel for breakfast (but good enough) and swimming pool, high beds

Exceptional

The location of the hotel on the beach was amazing: the apartment room was spacious and comfortable and a short walk from the main hotel building. Food was excellent and we enjoyed watching the dhows go out whilst we had a leisurely Breakfast. The rooftop pool had amazing views and the larger pool downstairs was clean, warm and relatively unused.

Not having a lift to our third floor apartment was a nuicanse but built up our appetite!!

Disappointing

Comfort bed

The reservation responsible tried to charge twice the city tax, although I explained to him multiple times that the city tax is already included inthe payment. I showed them the printed reservation from booking.com, and they kept on insisting that the city tax is not paid. They were only convinced when they saw the payment breakdown in the app of booking.com and after I was obliged to go again and again to the reception. The rooms were full of mosquitos, and the air conditioning could not be regulated as the remote controller was not working.

Very poor

We booked a completely different building and were sent to another location. The photos do not represent where we were placed. We complained multiple times to staff who were very unhelpful and did not complete our request. We paid for the Apartments shown on here and were sent to a different building.

Nice large room in quiet location with fantastic staff.

The staff is committed to their guests. My AC did not work my first night and the hotel was full so I was unsure how the situation would be resolved. The hotel replaced my AC. The staff will also help you with transportation and with tours. The breakfast is excellent. You can sit at a table looking over the beach. The hotel beach adjoins a public beach. The hotel has employees who ensure that hotel guests are not disturbed by ball games on the public beach. The cleaning ladies are friendly and thorough. The Apartments are a couple of blocks from the hotel which gives you the opportunity to engage with some of the locals. The route is well-lit so I felt safe. I bonded with the Simba Cat Rescue folks and talked to the cats daily and purchased food for them. The location is quieter than the main hotel. The staff will help you with luggage and have an area to store it if your departure is after check out. My room had a balcony looking out the back with a distant view of the courtyard.

The Apartments are no longer apartments, but rooms. There is a studio apartment on the top floor. Only 2 rooms overlook the courtyard which does not belong to the hotel. There are no mosquito nets in the rooms, but the staff does spray. However, I did get bitten. The hotel has a couple other properties that are not on Booking.com which I would have liked to have known about. The hotel does not serve alcohol out of respect for their Moslem employees. If wine with your dinner is important to you there are options elsewhere. Not disclosed on Booking.com is the fact that the government charges $5 a day for infrastructure. I have no problem with this fee as the need is obvious. I include these comments as information, they are not complaints. The listing on Booking.com needs to be updated.

Great location.

Fantastic location. Around the corner from Freddie Mercury Museum and right on the beach front.

Tembo apartments is a stones throw from the main Tembo House but it will require you to remember your route down the streets at night.

Great studio

We had the studio room and it was really lovely. Very spacious, comfortable, private. Good wifi. Best thing were the breakfasts! Huge buffet with all sort of food including cereal, sweet pastries like croassaints, french toasts, eggs of your choice, pancakea and waffles, nice juices, beans. Location the top!

Our first night was in a smaller room which was OK but the bathroom needed maintainance. We had dinner there and I had chicken mango salad and the chicken was really bad with joints and jelly parts and very chewy. Just bad.

IN THE HEART OF STONE TOWN

Location in the heart of stone town, the WiFi worked well in my room, the breakfast was good.

Room on upper floor of the annex, so the climb can be somewhat much of a to do.

Convenient and luxurious

The room I stopped at was in a different tower than the main one. I think it would have been better if I stayed in the main one. Well, maybe the price is higher there. The pool is only in the main lobby, so you have to keep that in mind.

Great Location, Amazing staff

The Staff are amazing, very polite, helpful and accomodating. Food is good and good price. I enjoy eating with the beach view and locals playing at the beach.

Our room was located in another building nearby whiere they do construction in other rooms so it was loud to stay in the day time.

Fabulous

Room 10000 in Tembo B&B. Huge room. Large terrace. Stairs to upper outdoor table and chairs. Great to host friends. Large fridge. Clothes washer. Top of building so lots of stairs.

Very central location in vicinity of old town and plenty of shopping experience hotel offers 2 pools and is located directly at a very tiny beach breakfast above average for Zanzibar very helpful and friendly staff

Pleasent stay overally, friendly staff and good location for Stone Town.

The breakfast was quite good, enjoyed the quick omlette and pan cakes.

EXCEPTIONAL.....EXCEPTIONAL. Perfect place if you want to stay within town, with access to Stone Town, the beach, Airport and the Zanzibar Ferry station. Perfect rooms, great room service, well air conditioned.

Information on booking.com was out of date. I expected more in the apartment. They did promise to correct it.

Location was pretty decent

The staff is extra rude. Treated a friend of mine (a local) with such vulgar, she had tears in her eyes; it ruined the entire experience. They threw accusations without attempting to know the truth. Very, very disappointing. Would NOT recommend, especially if you have local friends or family - they treat their own like dirt
