Stroll to steps to the left for breakfast at Tamarind Court or breakfast or lunch at Baked in the Sun; grocery shop on the corner at Dolphin Market, enjoy fine dining at La Tapa or happy hour at Woody's, all a stone's throw away. Taxi to the beach or ask us about rental vehicles which we also have available on site. Or hike one mile on a National Park trail to the world class Honeymoon & Salomon Beaches otherwise accessible only by boat. Artistically decorated with ceramic sconces made in our Studio below, Italian plastered walls & colorfully decorated with artwork from travels around the world, this is the perfect spot for a quick weekend get-away or an affordable extended winter retreat! All the luxury of one of our finest villas in an economical, yet stylish, in-town location. You will find all the basic necessities needed to make your vacation complete including air conditioning thru out, ceiling fans and a full size refrigerator. Beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler for your day at the beach are also provided. Below the Amore Loft Suite & Amore Loft Apartment is our pottery studio, the Donald Schnell Studio, where we can offer you guidance on snorkeling, dining & other island activities if you so require. My wife and I have been coming to St John since 1976, so there was no other place that we wanted to spend our 50th wedding Anniversary. The Amore Loft Suite at Artistic Villas was the perfect spot to stay, centrally located to the restaurants and shops in Cruz Bay. The suite was clean and comfortable. Our host Donald was very warm and personable. Unfortunately he and his wife left on vacation two days after our arrival but his staff was available to meet our needs, particularly helpful in finding a parking space for our jeep (which we also rented from them). I would strongly recommend staying at Donald and Deborah's place while visiting St John and we look forward to doing so in the future.

My husband and I booked this to be in town for my brothers wedding. It was an adorable little space, walking distance to some great food options. It was clean, exactly as listed online. Owners were very responsive with questions, and we loved our stay!

We loved our stay at the Artistic Villas. It was located right in the middle of everything. Donald and his wife were super accomedating. They even had rental vehicles. Not to mention, how pottery is gorgeous. You will not be disappointed in your stay with them. I would definitely stay here again!

An absolutely wonderful stay. Donald was communicative, attentive and immensely kind. The property itself is beautiful and is just a short walk to everything Cruz Bay has to offer. We also rented our Jeep from Donald making our stay that much smoother! We look forward got saying at the Amore Center again soon!

Great location, close to everything in Cruz Bay. Parking in the property was a little tight but we managed to find a spot during our 5 day stay. Don was communicative and easy to reach.

Nothing but positive experiences during our stay in the Amore Loft Suite. Donald was a superb host and graciously accommodated us early as we dealt with rearranging our U.S.V.I. honeymoon trip around Tropical Storm Fiona. Donald picked us and our luggage up from the ferry dock at Cruz Bay when we arrived and frequently checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed, including plenty of filtered water. The room was secure, nicely furnished, the bed comfortable, the shower hot, and the A/C worked well. The property has a great ambiance with numerous potted plants and is conveniently located walking distance to a few grocery stores and the restaurants of Cruz Bay. The national park and its beautiful beaches are a short drive away and the property has Jeeps available for rental at a reasonable rate. Donald's property was our favorite that we stayed at in the U.S.V.I.'s and I highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the magical place that is St. John.

We have been to St. John many times but have never felt more welcome than our stay at Amore Suite. Donald and Deborah went above and beyond to make our stay the best, most comfortable and relaxing visit ever. The Amore loft suite was perfect. Everything was there we needed to just arrive on the island and have a great time. That includes the use of beach items, chairs, cooler, floats, flippers etc. Location is everyting, a two minute walk into town, this was a great location. St John is a very safe island to visit. No fear to walk any hour day or night as opposed to many islands in the region. For those who may worry, Amore Suites is safe and secure, with a solid locking door to access the floor and double access door to the suite. We had a wonderful visit and give our highest recommendation to anyone looking to travel to ST. John for the first time or like us who have been there over the years. I just wish we had found Amore Suites sooner.

Excellent accommodations! Lovely decor & comfortable— great mattress. Don & Deborah were very helpful & accommodating. In Cruz Bay & convenient every place in town, plus Dolphin Market & breakfast at St John Provisions or Inn at Tamarind Court. I highly recommend & would love to stay here again.

We had a fantastic week. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was very nice, true to what was advertised. The location is excellent and an easy walk to all Cruz Bay has to offer. All beach gear - snorkeling equipment, chairs, towels - was included with the rental. Parking, which is difficult to find in Cruz Bay, is provided right on site. We will definitely stay here again.

My girlfriend and I decided to stray from the sterile hotels and resorts and stay somewhere with more charm and personality... and the Amore Loft Suite at the Artistic Villas did not disappoint. The loft we stayed in was perfect for our stay... a comfortable bed, a bright, spacious living space, and a truly artistic decorative style. It's in the perfect location, a short walk to downtown Cruz Bay, and with a market just around the corner. Beyond the loft itself is its proprietor, Donald, who made our stay truly memorable. From his first-hand perspective of forty years on St. John, to his art, which can be found all over the island (and apparently the world), to his focus on conservation and the environment. He is a charismatic and worldly man, and this comes across in every inch of the place he built. When we do return to St. John again, and we definitely will, I hope we have the opportunity to stay here again. It was a comfortable, welcoming, and unforgettable experience. Thank you!

My husband and I loved our stay in the Amore Loft Suite. Donald was a fantastic host - even picking us up from the ferry. The location is perfect. Easy walk to Cruz Bay restaurants/shops/bars and across the street from a grocery and next door to a tasty coffee shop. We rented a jeep from Donald and it was in excellent condition and perfect for exploring the island. The suite is perfect for a couple looking for a romantic getaway. Very clean and you feel safe tucked away upstairs in the villa. Beautiful spot and would definitely consider coming back for a stay!

This was a beautiful property with lush plants and lots of privacy. Very quiet. Best of all was the proximity to all the great activities and restaurants in Cruz Bay, walking distance to Mongoose Junction. Donald was an outstanding host, providing transportation to and from the dock upon arrival and departure made things so much easier. He also shared many great ideas about places to eat and things to see during our stay on St. John. Our favorite restaurants were The Terrace and Morgan’s Mango for something island elegant and High Tide for casual dining. Best breakfast is at Cruz Bay Landing. We highly recommend this property and host!

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying here for our honeymoon. Donald and Deborah were very easy to communicate with and were very helpful with providing information about ferry’s and restaurants. They also gave us a ride to and from the ferry at Cruz Bay and offered very low hassle vehicle rentals which were incredibly convenient. Overall, a really nice room and very generous and welcoming hosts!

From the moment we got off the ferry at St John, the Schnells have been nothing but incredibly gracious and accommodating. They picked us up from the dock and took us around town, and made dinner reservations for us before we got to our home for the week! Their Amore abode is just that. You can tell they built and decorated it with love. The perfect home for the week. Even when our AC wasn’t working properly, they immediately replaced it with a new unit. We even met their son Lucas who was so kind to offer us a ride to the hiking trails. They hooked us up with a car rental that was well needed. This group of people were the kindest souls you could ever meet and helped make our stay the best vacation we’ve ever had! Even to the last second of our stay, they let us use their facilities to shower the beach sand off before boarding our ferry back. 100% would stay here again. We will definitely be back to this wonderful island shortly. Thank you for everything!!

We just checked out from the Amore and it was everything we wanted. Great location, great price, great people! 25 minute walk to beaches and 5 minute walk to the Cruz Bay Area (where all the bars and restaurants are) Highly recommend.
