Unit has spectacular views&very clean. Visited in Feb, did not need AC. Lots of windows/doors opened for a good breeze. Besides waves, hear loud city sounds until 10pm & smell Steak Shack (yum!) and neighbor's pot smoking. This unit was 2 to 3x the daily cost of other units we looked at. At that cost, view did not entirely make up for leaky fridge, broken shades, & lack of beach gear*. Next time I would pay less &enjoy just the view over Fort DeRussy &of fireworks, & not pay more for the view of Diamond Head or open ocean. Note: if you are party of 6 (say 2 couples & 2 singles) who are close, this unit was comparatively large &worth the cost if split). Loved the building-would stay again (diff unit). Was very well maintained & secure, requiring proximity fobs to get inside &to use the elevator. One con: fob is required on return from beach but was not waterproof. Keyless entry to the unit itself. Unit looks just like the pictures. Short stay so was able to thrive on the sample toiletries provided. Plenty of tp &towels. We didn't cook, so didn't suffer from there being no kitchen cleaning supplies (that we could find). Fantastic beach access including beach shower right inside the property's secure area. But our unit did not provide any beach towels or gear. Easy walk to Hilton HI Village & Royal Hawaii Shops, ABC stores close, Starbucks even closer *Did not report fridge/shades until departure, so no rating on property responsiveness.

Overall the condo was good and the view was AMAZING! There is not a lot of cookware but it's sufficient for regular meals. We mainly cooked breakfast and was not lacking in what we needed. I'm only mentioning, in case anyone plans to cook specialty meals. If renting this condo be aware that the second bedroom is connected to the living room, with 2 twin beds. It is separated by a partition, which is why I said family and/or friends. Based on the set-up, it may be awkward for 3 couples to share this space. There are no beach amenities, and renting an umbrella and chairs can get rather pricey if you're unable to lay on the beach. I was traveling with my elderly mother and laying on the beach was not an option. Maybe the owner will think about purchasing 2 beach chairs to be used by the renters. If damage is a concern, possibly setting up a check out process with the property manager. My family and I had a great time, and we would stay here again.

Pro’s Early check in was a bonus, Million dollar view and close to all amenities, building was clean and well kept and the staff of Castle Waikiki were very nice. Con’s We were lead to believe this was a 2 bedroom from the description and pictures at time of booking. They have since changed the pictures so you can barely see the twins beds in the picture with the couch which btw are in the living room area with an accordion room divider. Reviews state that the beds are comfortable - they are NOT - main bedroom king bed, squeaks, is lumpy and all of our backs ached everyone morning in all of the beds, pillows were terrible, wallpaper loosing on the walls, dirty walls, paint chipping off in the main bathroom, shower vents dirty, light in shower didn’t work, roller blind in main bedroom broken, dryer vent not hooked up properly so the dust balls come out and it makes the second bathroom so hot it was like a sauna, old and worn furniture looks like it came from the Golden Girls set, main TV remote broken, end table light broken - the bulb was actually dangling, worn kitchen and bathroom cabinets, very minimal cookware and dinner ware for a family to cook, fry pans Teflon peeling off, all door in the bathrooms and bedrooms are slated so anyone can look into the rooms and sound carrys across the entire condo and the worst thing was we killed 2 cockroaches and 1 escaped. I am usually not a complainer, have stayed in 2 or 3 star hotels but they were not misleading.

The view made everything better!! Great experience. We only had a small issue with the ac and ice maker not working. Unfortunately they never came to fix it for our stay. But it was the best time of our lives.

During my stay, the alarm in the room malfunctioned and was noisy, but it was fixed immediately.

Our 2nd stay in this condo. Just as impressive as last year. Front desk again very responsive to any requests. Small issues were the need for some new pots and pans and some sheets were old enough to have wear spots. This in no way detracted from our great enjoyment of this extremely comfortable and perfectly located condo with fantastic views. Will definitely try for a 3rd stay next year.

Overall, it was an awesome condo. Little things, blinds came out the track, air-conditioning unit leaked water, ice machine and water not working in the fridge, one of the bed frames was not stable, very hard to open door of armoire, but none of those things impeded on the great experience we had on our family vacation. Would stay there again.

This is a fabulous condo with spectacular views of ocean and beach in a great location! We enjoyed every minute of our stay and totally worth it. The location is great with kayak, snorkeling, and surfing rentals right downstairs. Walks on the beach were enjoyable in the morning and evening. The beach was not crowded and very clean. Overall A++++ and we look forward to our next stay.
