The hosts were extremely helpful and always available on the phone. The location is close to the beach yet on the quiet side. There was lot of space and we enjoyed the kitchen as well.

There are a steep flight of stairs, to enter the apartment, which might be tricky for people with knee problems/climbing. otherwise the property is very good.

Exceptional

Our experience with this apartment unit was truly fantastic! The hosts greeted us with a thorough guide through the city structure and diners, as well as left us a small present :D They were also extremely understanding about the check-out time and allowed us to check out a bit late so that we wouldn't need to wait for the taxi somewhere on the strees with luggage in our hands. One of the bedrooms and a living room had air conditioning in them which turned out to be a lifesaver in early September heatwave.

Internet speed was unstable and we mostly used our mobile internet, thus it wasn't that big of a deal.

Superb

Fantastic hosts Sarah and Hugo - they were very friendly and helpful, late check-in was no problem and they have responsed to all our questions quickly. The appartment was clean and well maintained, well equipped, with an excellent location.

Electricity went on and off, but it was very easy to switch it back on, and hosts informed us about this in advance - so no big issue.

Good flat close to a great beach

The beach is by far the best part. The flat has everything you need and it is a short walk away to the beach.

Facilities are very poor on Mondello beach: no working showers or toilets. Restaurants open only in the evenings, shops have funny opening hours, I literally had to hustle for food. Don't think of taking a taxi, they are extortionate and the public transport is surprisingly a good alternative.

Wonderful stay near the beach of Mondello

The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. They picked us up from the train station Tommaso Natale and gave us a quick drive around tour of beach side Mondello. The house was spacious, and the balcony was nice. The biggest plus is how close it is to the beach!

It is a tad far from Palermo, so if you want to spend more time there or experience the night life, you may want to stay the night in Palermo instead of Mondello. However, the 806 bus line is an easy trip over, and there are many taxis that also pick up people at the 806 bus line stops for €5 a person.

good hosts, great location, pleasant comfortable home

the hosts were wonderful. the location was quite good especially with a market down the street where the prices were good and owners friendly. the home was nice. we would stay here again if we were to go to mondello

the main problem we had was the absence of air conditioning in the living room--in the two bedrooms it was fine--but with a family of 5, we (the parents) slept in living room and no way to cool it. also, since we went to the beach every day--the main attraction in mondello--we brought a lot of sand to the house. the host explained that neighbors complained about washing feet by the outside faucet--(as it was on the top floor on the porch--so we had to wash our feet in the bathtub--a bit of a problem--thin patches of sand were spread about.

Relaxing hideaway in Mondello

Fantastic and flexible welcoming hosts. They even allowed early check in and late check out. This is an excellent bonus for many travellers! Wonderful welcome cakes. New furniture and large tv. Everything you need. One double room plus single and sofa bed in lounge. The sofa bed looked brand new and was very easy to pull out and put away. Also very comfortable. This is a cute house in an excellent location in Mondello with a lovely private terrace. We slept well on comfortable mattresses in a spotlessly clean home. We would return.

Some people may find the steps into house steep and the hall narrow. We recommend changing the thin plastic toilet seat in second bathroom for a heavier duty one and the cloth covered skylight partially fell down and we had trouble to put it back in place. We felt it wasnt safe to have it above a cot. We recommend moving that and finding a better window cover solution. Despite these minor things, it's a great place with lots of light and a good feeling.

Exceptional

We had an amazing time in Casa Babbaluciana. The owners (Sarah and Hugo) were very friendly and attentive, they met us at the airport and showed us around. The apartment is great, very spacious for two. The location is great too - close to the beach (5-7 min by foot). If you want to visit Palermo - buses go every 10 minutes. Overall we had a very relaxing holiday!

Home away from home

The hosts, Sarah and Hugo, went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We stayed with our 11 month old baby and there was a cot, highchair and even toys provided. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We were surprised at how close to beach it was, 5 minutes walk. Lovely street. There is a minimarket a few minutes walk at the end of the street which had everything we needed for our stay. Spacious apartment (2 big bathrooms) lovely terrace for eating out. Loved Mondello the beach is amazing.
