Far from crowds, dog friendly, spa amenities, on a remote 80 acre mountain top
About this lodge
The Williams Peak is one of three private apartments within a triplex building. Complete with all amenities including private entrance, full kitchen, deck w/gas grill, fire pit, microwave, coffeemaker w/complementary coffee! Hot tub and sauna are shared with other guests. Located on 80 remote, private acres. the Williams Peak is the perfect place to bring your dog, it features a doggie door that accesses a fenced dog space! Sorry, dogs are not allowed to be left alone in room during outings. Pre-order cinnamon rolls or fresh chicken eggs. Close enough to Rocky Mountain National Park to visit daily yet far enough away to unplug, recharge, reconnect and self care. Winter access requires 4x4 or AWD with excellent tread on your tires! We are AROUND one hour from Silverthorne. Two hours from Copper mountain, keystone and Breckinridge, A Basin and Loveland ski areas, One hour from Steamboat and Winter Park/Mary Jane. Experience the old west as it was and still is as you pass through working ranches that were homestead on the early 1900's their weathered log cabins can still be seen and are often still in use, others are close enough for a great photo opportunity. Colorado's open range law permits ranchers to graze their cattle without boarders so you will often find them on the roadways or you may even get caught up in a cattle drive as the ranchers move cattle from one pasture or paddock to another. Spring brings all the calves and branding time! Observing the rancher, his horse and dog working together is a real treat. Look along the sides of the road for sage grouse, in the open fields for pronghorn, down in the willows and streams for the bull moose, in the trees for the mule deer and on top of the ridge lines for the elk. There are also bald eagle and osprey nests, alpacas, horses and sheep, All this just on the ride into Williams Fork Lodging! Our place sits above all this at the end of the road and adjacent to public lands tucked beneath Copper Peak on the Williams fork range. Our elevation is roughly 8,500 feet. The view is breath taking, it's 180' takes in three mountain ranges many peaks, pastures, forest, ponds, the sun rise, as well as being one of the best places to be for a full moon or if you prefer the stars our view of the Milky Way is unobstructed and has no light pollution for outstanding celestial shows. Meter showers are spectacular from the hot tub. We live on the same property and are quite self sustainable, hunting, gardening, gathering wild berries and raising our own poultry meat. The guest house is constructed of concrete and rock this as well as high efficiency windows and takes full advantage of passive solar heat, backup heat and the hot water are then provided by wood via an out side boiler maintained by us and fueled by beetle kill/downed Every season has it's own special beauty, spring brings abundant wild flowers, contrasting greens of the pine, aspen and sage. New born livestock and wild life, thunderstorms and brilliant double rainbows. birds singing, chickens crowing and total silence are welcomed in summer. Our view of the fall colors are hard to match, the changing yellow, gold and reds quaking in the valley are quite beautiful. Winter white snow untouched by human and cobalt blue sky's are post card perfect and right out your window. You may get the feeling you'll be snowed in for months but not to worry as Greg is most likely already out plowing for your safety and convenience. Our guest house can be rented as one unit with 3 queen-size bedrooms, and additional beds for up to 8, or as a single unit with one queen bed room with additional sleeping areas. All units are filled with all the luxury and amenities you need for a complete stay.

A delightful pause
My wife and I stayed here before. We had a few days to get away and needed a place we could count on. Dale does such a good job maintaining not only the property, but a restful atmosphere. It's so nice having a place with a good connection like this.

Cozy weekend getaway
We had so much fun staying here and we're looking forward to coming back. The location is remote and perfect to escape life in the city. Dale provides everything you need to have a comfortable stay. There was even a dog toy for our dog.

Amazing views & perfect for bringing your dog!
We had such a relaxing stay here. The views from everywhere were stunning. We especially loved star gazing in the hot tub. Our dog loved the doggie door and having his own outdoor kennel. Eggs were a lovely touch and the owner was super hospitable. We can’t wait to come back in the spring/summer!

Ideal mountain get away!
This was a perfect escape from Denver for the weekend. We enjoyed the incredible view, hummingbirds right outside of our window, starry nights in the hot tub, and an outdoor/indoor fireplace. This cabin is truly a slice of heaven and the owners are completely accommodating. We will be back!

Awesome
This place was so great! Dale was an impeccable host. It really is in the middle of nowhere and the best place we have ever stayed with our dog--dog door to fenced in area, dog kennel inside. You do need AWD, especially in the Winter. We absolutely loved it!

Relaxing, peaceful, beautiful.
Better than advertised. Amazing views. Loved the dog door in the bedroom with outside kennel. Hot tub was clean and the views of the night sky were incredible. Dale was super helpful on helping us with ideas on where to hike and directions. We brought food with us and were glad we did because the closest restaurant was far. We enjoyed cooking on the grill and the kitchen was very well stocked. We had a fire pit and used the cool kindle maker. Every thing was very clean. We will definitely return.

What a great place!
This is an amazing location if you are looking to get away! There is a reservoir not far away where you can kayak and paddle board. The views are amazing and the hot tub was an amazing amenity. My favorite part was how pet friendly the space was. It has a build in pet door that leads to a fenced in dog run. My dog loved it!!!

Awesome cabin
The Williams Peak cabin was wonderful, private, and very dog friendly. While there were other guests at the property, we hardly noticed anyone else. The view is amazing. The cabin is very remote, and you will need 4wd for the roads. Dale's instructions to get to the property were perfect. The closest town is about an hour away, so stock up before.
We would love to stay again.

Great views, quiet, very comfortable, great hosts!
This place is awesome! It's very quiet, very comfortable, the hot tub is a great plus, even in subzero temps. The full kitchen has all you need. Greg and Dale are great hosts and super friendly. We wish we could have spent more time there just hanging out with them at the property. You absolutely have to have/rent a AWD or 4x4 during the winter, some roads are uphill gravel roads, they are safe, but you definitely need a capable vehicle. We will for sure be returning!
