Welcome to 3rd Ave South in Wedgewood Houston! Our home is in a quiet neighborhood, situated within an easy walking distance of the casual and fine-dining eateries, bars, coffee shops, breweries and distilleries of Wedgewood Houston. We are conveniently located 5-10 minutes from downtown Nashville by car and 1.3 miles away from lower Broadway. You can easily experience all the legendary honky tonks without all the noise. You can also enjoy the park directly across the street. Our home was designed with conscious care and the comfort of our guests in mind. You will have access to the entire one-level 1200 sq ft space. The house offers plenty of natural sunlight, high ceilings, and a clean open space. Each room is furnished with a ceiling fan, ample closet place, and a full-length mirror. The kitchen is stocked with the basic amenities needed for coffee and cooking. The washer and dryer is available for guest use. The door is operated with a personalized access code. You can choose the four-digit code of your liking. The house is equipped with a smart TV, Apple TV, and an Amazon Echo. Ample street parking is available along the street right outside the door. We were born and raised in Nashville and can offer you the best suggestions according to the experience you are looking for during your stay. We had a great time.. a bit far from Broadway (about 30-45 minute walk) but we Ubered & Lyft'd for cheap everywhere.
The apartment was clean enough but somethings were not. Hair in the bed or used hair elastics on the shelves.
Great amenities - microwave worked fine unlike other reviews. The stovetop was extremely hot and burned most food on low so we just turned it on then turned it off to continue cooking - not sure if thermostat on it is gone.
It has a wok, pans, grater, etc - great for cooking to save $$$.

Definitely would stay here again! Worth it.

Great stay in a great location. Property was clean and appointed well. Parking out front was great. Six minute Uber to tourist areas. We really enjoyed our stay. Will stay again next time we visit.

It was a good stay everything was prepared andready, location is good. Little far for walking but you can grab a scooter or Uber rather quickly. The property was in good condition and clean, the hot water did fluctuate a bit. However, everything was in proper working order. I would recommend staying at this location ease of checkin was fast and not complicated. Good experience overall.

Overall our stay was good and the home was great for what we needed to have our Thanksgiving together. Just one little thing the microwave didn't heat up for leftovers the next day. Wasn't an issue as we were out and about that Friday. Would stay again

We stayed here for a few days to work in the city. The house was clean. However the wrong house code was programmed in and we had to make a guess to get in, the microwave is broken and I communicated this to the owner who never acknowledged the message, and lastly the train is so close it woke us up multiple times.

Absolutely loved our stay at this property. The host was very responsive to the couple of queries we had and the property was extremely charming. There's a park across the road and a couple of great coffee locations just a few blocks walk the other side of the park. It's not far from down town and is an easy 15min walk. Also, the bed in the main room was soooo comfy. I'd definitely stay here again.

Came in town for my husband's birthday and enjoyed our stay at this location. It was quiet but close enough to be anywhere downtown within 5 to 10 mins. We will be back to stay again.

Property is ok but the door was open when we arrived at 8:30 pm. !! No table, living spaces fine, bedrooms fine, lamp unusable ;1 bathroom; microwave doesn’t work or the ice machine; electrical problem in laundry room, back door unlocked. Host unavailable

The property had garbage, and over grown grass in the backyard, was overall unusable. Broken window replaced with storm window, which was not shown or said before rented, window did not lock and was “locked” by one piece of tape. Toilet was held up by paper towel and cardboard paper. Sheets were stained, house was really dirty, stuff falling out of shaggy carpet. Over grown bushes, weeds and poison ivy upon entering the house. A lot of light bulbs did not work. Really loud, weed filled neighborhood. When telling the owner of my issue and saying I can not stay here, refuses a refund.

Overall we had a nice visit at this property. Some parts of the neighborhood were nice, other parts not so nice. There are a lot of people that loiter on this street. It is close to downtown, the beds were comfortable, the A/C nice and cool, and it was nice having a washer/dryer. Also a bonus having two king beds available since we stayed with one other couple. There isn't a table in the kitchen which wasn't that big of a deal but would have been nice. The microwave does not heat up food. There are not enough hand towels/rags in the kitchen. More towels and wash cloths in the bathroom would have been nice. The back window was broken and is patched but you can open it easily. Back door is easy to get into as well. The yard (front and back) is not well kept. There is not a garbage bin available outside. We had to put our bags tied up in the back yard on the ground. I wouldn't be against staying again if mentioned items were fixed.

Pros: House was clean enough. Short Uber ride to downtown. Street parking available outside of rental. Had all the essentials. The temperature was cool and comfortable. Owner was reachable and quickly responded to our questions.
Cons: All rooms could definitely use a fresh coat of paint. Main area was missing two outlet covers, microwave turned on but didn’t heat up. Front and back yard was unkept, first pane of back window still broken, and washer had musty smell. Some lights need to be replaced. The HVAC closet was extremely dusty/unkept.
The neighborhood is in transition. We had no issues but some things were questionable.
Overall we did enjoyed our stay.

House had no working a/c, no working ice maker. Old cigarette butts in planter on front porch & other trash. Yard not cared for. Broken window in back laundry room, fixed with a storm window. Broken glass & trash bag in back yard.

I have been renting out homes for all of 10 years and I have never witnessed a home so dirty. There were nice trinkets around the home which is what initially caught my eye when booking. However, the walls had dirt and grim, the bathroom was not cleaned before we arrived, the kitchen had old food stains on the appliances, the black rug in the living area had blonde human hair all over, buttons on the remote to the tv did not work, and everything was very dusty. I did not feel safe having my 14 month old touching anything. I called the manager and he told me he would return my cleaning deposit and send a cleaning lady out. The cleaning lady came back to only clean the bathroom and I never received my cleaning deposit back. After he verbally agreed to return it. To put a cherry on the top, I was there for a wedding and the morning of, there was no hot water to take showers. I had an awful experience in this home and wouldn’t wish this nightmare on anyone else.

We found the area to be conveniently located to the major interests we had. The property is nice. It could use a little TLC (wobbly toilet, strobe lights in the laundry room, none of the lamps worked), but nothing that greatly inconvenienced us. It is clear from the pics, but apparently I overlooked the fact that there is no kitchen table. There is a small table in front of the tv, but more than 2 people can't eat there. There's also no toaster if you plan to do the quick kid breakfasts!

We loved our stay! The bedrooms were large and spacious with comfortable beds. The host even decorated for Christmas which was a super cute touch! Communication was fast. Would definitely stay again!

Our host was terrific in terms of communication. We were able to get him on the phone immediately when we needed him. He also provided us with recommendations for local restaurants, things to do, etc.

There were four of us in this house. The house did its job for a few days. The neighbor hood isn’t fantastic but it also isn’t horrible. Distance from things to do was good, 10 min drive and you can get to most places.

It’s a beautiful home and very well stocked with all you need. It is located in a neighborhood that is going through gentrification and close to downtown.

Great location. Just a quick Uber ride to Broadway. Owner was quick response to any needs. Very clean and huge bedrooms. Nice front porch to sit and enjoy the outdoors on a nice evening. There is a back little patio too. Definitely stay again

Location was great for travel to where we wanted to be. Several little spots within walking distance to grab breakfast ( thanks to the host for suggestions). There are some questionable gatherings and such that go on at the park across the street but people were friendly and I felt no real concern about safety. House could definitely use some TLC and a deep clean although it was clean enough. The same two bags of garbage seem to still be hanging out back as have been mentioned in previous posts. The fridge and freezer could use a good clean and several other areas that have seemed to gather some dirt and plenty of cobwebs that have formed out front. Some fresh coats of paint inside and outside would make a big difference. There’s really no area to sit outside and the yard isn’t really maintained as such that you would want to. For a spot to sleep and shower while you spend your days seeing the sights of Nashville it was perfect!

This owner was on his game, Quick responses to any questions. Home is centrally located and short shared ride from it all including Vanderbilt bars, Broadway, Nissan stadium, Tennessee BBQ and the Airport. This home was updated and is located in a Neighborhood that's t very up and coming in the future. The small park and school in the area is typical of the associated noise of the city life. The unit is as described, cleaned, and as always I was happy to support local and stay in a VRBO.

Like others have said when you first arrive the neighborhood park across the street can seem a little sketchy but just realize it's the neighborhood hanging out then lots of games and activities going on. House was great, very spacious for a smaller property. The back yard however was a mess...bags of trash and such but we had no need to hang out back there so didn't take away from the stay at all. I do recommend to the owner that he put tvs in the bedrooms

We had a awesome stay in Nashville and our VRBO was a excellent location. We always felt safe. Our host anticipated our needs and made everything seem less. Our only sticking point is a drainage issue in the tub. But I was very pleased overall

This property has a great location to all things fun. We did have a super nice neighbor advise us not to leave valuables in our car which we took her advice and had no issues. Park across the street… saw some people but they never bothered us. This Property has tons of potential but is due for a deep clean and has some minor dings. Some lights didn’t work some plugs didn’t work. We found all things needed but not much communication checking in. Some towels and washcloths are found in a garage bag on the washer. Outside needs cleaned including porch painted and lights fixed. . Other than sleeping we didn’t spend much time there. Minor fixes and with the location this place is truly a gem

This was a great little house for our family of 4. The location was also perfect. Suggestions to make the house more family/kid friendly: a collapsible step stool for kids to reach sinks/toilet and possibly an option for more shades for the windows. Otherwise, loved it!
