Authentic experience

I loved the authentic experience. The staff was Palestinian. The breakfast was cultural. The location was also very cultural. It was not touristy.... Which was perfect for us. We love to experience the people.... Not the tourist. A.c. worked great, nice bed and bath linens.

The refrigerator did not work and a box of Kleenex would have been nice.

Horrible absolutely everything - starting with the location which is really dangerous in terms of even road crossing, but most aweful was the stay - noisy street and muslim church nearby from the early morning, a breakfast with no bread and just a pita, no variation of cheeses, no meat... and ive paid 110 dols a night!! will never return

Good Hospitality in East Jerusalem

Staff is friendly and hospitable, though not much English spoken. Room was comfortable and very affordable. We liked our walk through the interesting neighborhood in the Mount of Olives. Breakfast buffet was plentiful with local food, all very good, as well as an omelet made to order. Delicious. Everyone was very kind. We seemed to be the only “westerners” there. We enjoyed the Commodore.

The bathroom could have been more clean. Larger towels would be helpful, and more of them.

Comfortable stay

The rooms were clean with daily housekeeping. The staff are all very helpful and kind Palestinian people. Location was good, bus stop just outside the hotel.

It's a 15 minute walk to al aqsa mosque which is okay. The food at the hotel was very basic, could do with more of a variety

I went with family of 7 adults and we all enjoyed the our stay in the city

Friendly and helpful staff . The Rooms were good size and clean The property has good public transport link

I went with my family of seven people, we had 4 rooms booked and we all enjoyed the warm welcome and hospitality receive

Good choice in Jerusalem

Good breakfast. Ok location - quite short distance to Old town by bus or by walking.

Mattress is not so good, took many days to get receipt of my payment, could not use safe.

Nothing.

Breakfast was grim. Omelette was ok. Hotel dreadfully outdated. Major building works meant that WiFi only available in the reception area. Unhelpful receptionist. Noisy inconsiderate tour groups.

Greatly location for us to stay on the first day of trip! Staffs are warming and helping. The breakfast is great especially the scrambled egg maked in Love! 👍👍👍

Family business in the old Jerusalem

I am so glad we stayed at Commodore at the Mt. of Olives. The staff was super nice and accommodating. We arrived early before 8am on a Saturday. We were allowed to check in and have breakfast. We were given great instructions by Layla so we immediately took the 275 bus right on to the Damascus Gate. We did so many things on our own because the hotel is close to the bus terminal and the light train station. I don't have any regrets and I would stay here again. The hotel is not the most luxurious but if you are interested in visiting the Holy Land leave behind your fancy accomodations for a family business you won't regret. Thank you Mr. Amusa for being friendly breakfast was on point every morning authentic cuisine not your typical (bacon egg cheese!) So much to do in Jerusalem and gates to walk to.

Furniture needs updating but we were out so it didn't really matter ☺️

Good location for Old City, mediocre to poor room

Near Old City Good price compared to other properties in the area free parking by the front door friendly staff

next to a noisy road windows didn’t close no black out curtains noise from water drains every time anyone used shower/bathroom no aircon hard bed cheap outdated decor

The bed was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good.

The room smelled like paint and the hotel was generally a bit dated. The location was not good - there was nothing within immediate walking distance. You need to take a bus to Damascus Gate to get to anything.

Okay

The location is OK, especially when on pilgrimage. The bus connection to d old city gates is good too.

I don't like the food (breakfast) and others. I wish they can bring some small changes.
