It was a good place to stay but wish I had chosen a place along the tram line.

The hotel and staff are good. But it is a 20 minute up and down hill hot walk to the Old City but past the Garden of Gethsemane which is so peaceful. The breakfast is fine and the view from my room was marvellous. The staff was very helpful.

I realized that a hotel along the tram line would have been more convenient. There were no restaurants near by at all but a fruit and veggie shop at the end of the road and a convenience shop across the street.

Argh. Mixed feelings.

The staff is nice and easy going. They do try to accommodate our needs. The senior man who helped with the luggage is very friendly. After the very unpleasant first night I found my booking details and early next day I said I booked the quadruble room and the picture on booking.com. it should be much bigger. The staff (different from the check in one) gave us another room which has a mountain view. That is the true quadruble room! Thank God. If we had to stay in the tiny room it would be miserable and our family would have a very bad memory of Jerusalem. The room is clean and bright. AC is good (except there was outage 2 nights at around 3 or 4 am - on purpose? I sweated to awake) Also the breakfast area on the top floor is excellent and marvellous. The staff is diligent and is attentive to the availability of food. The fresh tomatoes, cucumber, watermelon and bread are good. Price is affordable and it is good if one can lower the expectations.....but coming from North America it is hard! The facility/building can be inferior to the worst motel in Canada. Yet, dye to the dry hot climate there is no pest or bugs so at least I did not need to worry about that. Only flies in the breakfast area :p

I booked a room for 4 (3 adults and 1 kid), the classic quadruble room. When checking in I had to add 300 NIS because my younger son is 16 years old. I was told that in the booking it shows my child is age 0 so they didn't charge. It was my 4th stop in Israel and I did the same for booking 3 adults and 1 kid age 16 so I didn't know what happened but after a short discussion I paid anyways, they said we needed to wait because they had to move a bed to the room for the forth person. I said why, it is a quadruble room isn't it?! The room is super congested and we couldn't walk between the beds, not to mention to find place for opening the luggage. The grout of bathroom is moldy - all black and the shower head holder was broken. There is no ventilation in the room. For the included breakfast, the staff is nice and diligent but his smoked 15 feet behind us at the couch, even there's a sign at the reception that no smoking is allowed in the whole building. The breakfast was the same 3 nights we stayed there, and some cold cuts tasted bad (pretty sure they had turned bad) and the butter were melted. The fried eggs were soaked in oil. I did not dare to eat the cheese and cold cut after a bite because they were not fresh. And I had a feeling to puke after eating some tuna fish (weird taste also). The place is like a vintage. This is the first time I visited Jerusalem so I didn't know what to expect. Passing the narrow streets before reaching the "hotel" I thought maybe it is like a developing place? And for the parking part one has to go ask someone to open the gate everytime you go out or return. The street is super narrow(1 car's width but not a one-way street) but there is so much traffic. The carpet may not have cleaned for decades.

Disappointing, dirty, and desolate

The view was nice

We were given a room that had not been cleaned (dirty towels on the floor, bed had been slept in). The staff gave us another room, but it had stained carpet, was run down, patio door didn’t lock, hallways were dirty. We cancelled after one night, but was charged for two. Couldn’t believe the price for the accommodations. Staff was very nice except for when we cancelled.

The location of the hotel is very close to everything. It is in the historical part of Jerusalem near Getsemane garden and near the wall and gate. They serve nice breakfast on the top floor with excellent view of whole old town. They have parking places.

The room was much worse than on booking fotos. Old equipment, dirty carpet and cigaret smoke from air-conditioning. The room was realy small for 4 beds. The hotel is in the Muslim area next to minaret so we could not sleep because of early morning prayers. The bathroom was half destroyed. We had to ask for towels and cups.

Great view of Jerusalem's old city, a great location. The staff was very helpful with luggage, parking etc. The dining hall had 360 panorama views of the city.

The room had a strange locked door into another room.

for the price of the night, this hotel can offer a higher standard.

the property is well situated, although a little further from center, offers a beautiful view over the alqsa mosque and dome of the rock

huge improvements needed in carpet cleanliness, towels were clean but not in a good state, breakfast quality was low.

Good location, panoramic view to old city

Noise cancellation is almost zero. You can hear your neighbor having a shower or everybody outside of your room. The interior is quite old.

just not worth the money, hostel standard not hotel standard

Some of the staff were VERY kind and helpful and the place has got a very stunning view. Also the location is pretty good.

Very poor hygiene; the place is embarrassing not clean; mugs and cutlery at breakfast were always dirty; the place has got everywhere a very dusty carpet floor bad for asma; if you like sweet breakfast you will have very little choice; in our room the toilet flush was broken; shower head holder was broken; they painted the room the same day we were in and there was a terrible smell; very noisy hotel, you can hear everything from the rooms next to you; - and MUCH more. I got convinced to book this place by some nice reviews, I would have loved reading a honest review like mine now in order to make a different choice. It was not what I expected at all.

Nice view from the 6th floor (breakfast room). Breakfast is good and staff are nice

The AC didn’t heat and we were freezing. Facilities are fair.

Expected some compensation due to cold water but manager not interested. Good place to stay in summe

Breakfast was very basic, the room had excellent view. It was very good location for visiting al-Aqsa compound. Staff were very pleasant.

Water was cold for 2.5 days. I had to have shower in with cold water. Manager advised but nothing was done.

Exceptional kindness to meet our needs.

the staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant—exceptional kindness and support.

Grateful for private parking but very congested area for driving. Carpets need replacing but exceptionally kind staff we will remember always!

Perfect location going to and coming from all the famous places in Jerusalem. We are thankful

We like it because of the accessibility to most of the attractions and biblical places. The location of the hotel is very famous as it is the only hotel in the area. Near to it is the fruits and vegetable store. There are supermarket too and a pharmacy, clinic and bus stops going to and from the Western Wall. We can easily access to walk going to Damascus Gate and Lions Gate from the hotel.

They will clean the room even though we didn't asked for it, and they do it while we are outside. We will find it out only when we got back from outside. Maybe we should have put the "Do Not Disturb" sign outside our room, then they will not enter our room while we are gone.
