Disappointing

The room was okay. Nice cosy bed. The receptionist was friendly, but just one person serving every one arriving was not very pleasant. I had to find my own way to the room.

There was a cockroach in my room. The waiters in the restaurant are totally unresponsive and unprofessional. They are engaged in their own conversations very loudly and not bothered to serve the guests. The range of food in the buffet was disappointing. There was a meal described as beef wet fry, which tasted like left over pepper steak from lunch, cut into bits, and had no tomatoes or onions.... The breakfast was underwhelming. Totally not up to the Sarova standards I am accustomed to. A disappointment.

Nice place, but service levels to up to par

New property, love the upgrade

The rooms are basic….mini bar not stocked….check in was very long (waited for over 15 minutes) as there was only 1 receptionist on a weekend….room service was not efficient (they tried to convince me to come for the buffet while I wanted to order from the menu) and they took very long (over 1 hour)

I had an amazing stay at Sarova Imperial and look forward to coming again!

The staff at the Sarova Imperial was wonderful. Everyone, from reception to the restaurant and bar staff, was so helpful and accommodating.

Meh! 😑

The location is right at the heart of Kisumu. Perfect if you’re looking to stay closer to the CBD. The room was very clean with plenty of fresh towels & bathroom supplies. Fridge was empty though

There was loud partying which really interfered with my sleep. Not sure why the hotel management would agree to host an event and make so much noise for the guests. It was TERRIBLE! I found the customer service very subpar for a 4 star. Check in times are ridiculous. I also had to pay before checking into my room which I found weird. Breakfast is pretty expensive and not inclusive. I was charged $28 for a buffet breakfast with no vegetarian options and they insisted they don’t do Ala carte.I waited over 30 mins to be served an omelette ☹️.

Good stay and value

Good Position; good value for money; friendly staff and above all very good food! Probably one of the best places where to eat in Kisumu. Also good breakfast.

Room are not very spacious, but comfy.

Great Hotel

The stuff was very friendly and very knowledgeable.

They did not honor booking dot com extra $20 breakfast, they had their outrageous charges in local currency so we did not do breakfast at the hotel.

everything at breakfast was great, the only thing I can think of was the waiting time for coffee and tea to be served at the table, breakfast was self serve so why not have a coffee machine

The breakfast was good. Well balanced and nice fruits. However, the waiters took time to bring tea to the table. They can as well have tea in flasks and place them where people get other breakfast item.

The room are cozy, definitely kept the noise out. Their dinner options and breakfast options were great too

My shower was faulty. AC in room was old and noisy. In a room with new appliances that AC stood out. That one unhelpful staff at the Reception

Absolutely hospitable

This was my first time at Imperial since Sarova acquired the hotel and I'm in awe. First, the service was absolutely exceptional. Everyone from the hotel security, reception, housekeeping and even the waiter staff was incredibly hospital. The rooms were completely overhauled and that scary old carpet is gone. The rooms are fresh airy and clean, with fresh towels and robes, slippers and high-quality yet sustainable toiletries. Sincere thanks to Nelly and Mercy at the front desk, the GM as well as Biko who assured us of the Sarova standard and fully delivered.

Kitchen service was a bit slow.
