Chic flat in great location with great host.

Salvo is a great host. Friendly and attentive. The flat is just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre and some great restaurants.

One of the best places to stay in Catania! Maybe even the best place I have ever reserved on Booking (and I travel a great deal)! Salvo, the host checked us in at 3am, as our flight was delayed. He was there to respond to any questions, give us advice and help us with anything we needed at any time. We were 3 friends travelling together and the Alcala Living B&B is one of the nicest I have ever been to. It is located in the best location, 10 minutes from the airport and beach and 2 blocks from the fish market and all of the attractions in Catania. The breakfast was included from the local café, which had a variety and was excellent. The accommodation itself is amazing! Large, high ceiling rooms with tasteful decorations and anything that you could possibly want. It even had an amazing espresso machine and refrigerator with wine bottle waiting for us. The A/C worked well and everything was upscale and clean. Although located in a relatively busy area, the windows completely block out the noise. It is highly recommended for individuals, friends, small groups, families with children or anyone looking to experience Catania and the area.

Great value for money.

Salvo, the host, is fantastic. He cares about everything. Location is great. Bar, where breakfasts are served, is also very nice. Finally, the place has a nice garden.

Passable

The host was very kind and helpful, every day asking how we are going and we could ask for advice about where to eat or what to visit. Rooms were clean and the apartment was cleaned up every day, also the water and coffee were renewed daily and a bottle of wine for a present. Also, the apartment has a lovely patio.

Seems the host is living in the same flat. There was a window (non-transparent) between the bathroom and the commonly used kitchen, where the host was sitting every evening, it was very uncomfortable to shower and use the toilet. On the last evening, there were also guests invited by the host (the noise ended at 11:00 pm, but we were 3 girls and it was a very uncomfortable feeling to be trapped in an apartment full of strangers). View from the window is a huge mountain of trash (it is not the host's fault, but the smell was very unpleasant), photo was taken on the first day, so the pile was only growing.

Nice holiday

The owner was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The location is perfect with an amazing fish market, really nice bars and restaurants and a bus stop nearby. Breakfast is delicious and local.

Superb

The property was really conveniently located - both to the city center and different methods of transportation. The rooms were beautiful and the host was lovely. It was nice to have included basic but delicious (pastries and coffee) breakfast, served in a nearby cafe.

It gets quite noisy in the evening if you leave the windows open.

Superb

The owner of the apartment, Salvatore, is very nice, communicative and gave us a lot of information about sights, restaurants and transport. Breakfast is at a nearby Italian café, where is a wide selection of pastries and drinks. Accommodation is in the historic city center, a step from the bus station and market. It is possible to relax in the courtyard. We thank you for everything!

Exceptional

The accomodation is very nice, comfortable, clean and the outside terasse for sitting outside is just an green chill oaze. Salvatore is a great host and take care of us like own family. We really enjoy our stay there thanks to Salvatore we had a chance to get to know more about Siccily and taste a very good local vine. Also the breakfasts were so yummy and took place in a very nice caffeeteria with kind personal. It was just a very exceptional experience for us.

Wonderful host, perfect location

We had a wonderful stay and would book it again if we ever come back to Sicily. Salvo is a generous host with many tips and good advices. Location is perfect and we felt welcome.

Host is super friendly and really helpful. Location is really great, walking distance to main station and also very close to the Cathedral of Catania. Bus stop is also right next to the accommodation. Definitely recommend!

Good

Location was ideal, central and within walking distance to train station and around the town. Plenty of places to eat and drink cheaply with some very nice food and wine.

Traffic is noisy in Italy, day and night!

We had a lovely stay here in October. Very welcoming and comfortable. Our host Salvo was very friendly and gave us some excellent restaurant and activity recommendations. Teresa was also very friendly. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Catania

Great place in a beautiful city!

What a place! What an owner! Salvo, thank you million times...for making your home ours for these 5 beautiful days! The location is so central and convenient...you can find everything you need around! Feel free to get the best advices of restos from the owner and breakfasts from Teresa are the best!!!! The appartment is big, clean, comfy and made with a great taste! We are going to be back again and again! Highly recommend!
