Cheap property, close (ish - still 8km away) but would not match even the comfort of even the cheapest of European b&

The people were friendly and flexible regarding taxi to airport. It was close to the airport.

I did not feel comfortable, particularly with the state of the bathroom. Not dirty but just horrible!

Very convenient, very safe.

I only needed one night's accommodation before going on a tour, so the location was perfect. It is about 15 mins drive from Kilimanjaro Airport, just off the main road. I was worried about the noise from the traffic but there was very little at night time, but take some earplugs just in case. You get what you pay for but the room was clean, the shower hot and the beer cold. The WiFi is a bit patchy but the charming staff were happy to reset it. Don't forget that you are in rural Africa. I had chicken and chips for dinner which was tasty and cooked to order. I was travelling on my own but always felt safe. I did pre-book a taxi from the airport but unfortunately there was no one to meet me but there are lots of taxi drivers at the airport wearing the same blue t-shirt. Find the man with the clipboard (he came to me) and negotiate a price. I paid $15 to the Rainbow which was half the price as the pre-booked taxi. I asked the same driver to pick me up the next day, he arrived 5 minutes early and I gave him $20 on the way back to the airport.

Just manage your own expectations. It isn't the Ritz !

Excellent staff!

We picked this for the proximity to the airport as we had an early morning flight. The staff was excellent. Felix was great! The accommodations were clean.

The lodge is simple, nothing fancy. I don't think I would stay here for an extended period, but for a brief stay & close to the airport it was perfect

Very practical option for a night near the JRO/KIA Airport

Located near the Kilimanjaro International Airport, we found it very convenient to spend one night (as part of a layover, so to say). We booked 5 double rooms in total and they each had a private bathroom including hot water shower. The host was very kind and made sure everything was fine constantly. The rooms were all very clean. I think it's a great choice if you need to spend the night near the Airport. And they answer to messages via Booking.com rather quickly!

On the description they mention that they can arrange cars to/from the airport for 15USD. We needed 2 cars since we were a party of 10 + luggage. They told us the price would be 20USD per car instead. I'd like to remark that this was AGREED BEFOREHAND, so it wasn't really an important issue for us.

Nothing here to like.

The was room was like a hostel, had to go looking for toilet rolls and had to steal them from another room, room and bathroom dirty, paint work in need of redecoration, soap dish hanging off the wall, no garden, poor choice of menu and food only just edible - although the cat who pestered us enjoyed it.

very friendly guys airport shuttle (you pay extra), shuttle to Arusha with discount big room with all you need inside

far from town/ restaurants/ everything breakfast (very simple egg with toast is the only available, no fruits, no milk) - but the omelett was very good =) wifi was not working very well

Enjoyed Rainbow Executive Lodge. It was well priced for a more rustic experience.

Staff was very friendly and efficient. Location felt safe and secure. The rooms were clean.

Never figured out how to get hot water from the tankless water heater--my fault for not asking

Previous experience of properties in Tanzania you are met with a welcome drink and a likewise response from staff. Didn't feel either was apllicable

Perfect place to stay, really close to the airport!

Really big and clean rooms and wonderful staff! Thank you Thomas and Nanjaro for being so nice and accommodating.

Good

The team was really friendly and the food they cooked for us was tasty. The rooms were big, comfortable and had mosquito nets (which is an important thing to have there). It's located near to the Kilimandscharo airport.

The room is spacious and 20 minutes to the airport

The price is way above the expectation,no WIFI and when you ask for it they give you hotspot from their phone which is very slow. The workers too talk badly behind their customers. I overheard them because i speak swahili and told them i heard what they had said and it was not good

Executive is rather a misnomer - you'd be disappointed to stay here on business

they let us change rooms to a quieter one as the first one offered (a large room) was noisy, without making us feel bad!

the restaurant was poor. It was new year's eve and many options weren't available. A very long wait for a plate of chips! bathroom was not very clean mosquito net rather dusty nowhere at all to walk to - it was 15 mins taxi ride to the airport, but situation in a scruffy area of housing

Probably the least distance to Kilimanjaro International Airport and they provide Airport Transfer. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Superb

Perfect if you have an early morning flight from the Kilimanjaro Airport like I did. The staff were very hospitable and booked me a taxi for a decent price. The room was clean and comfortable and as a solo woman traveller I felt completely safe and comfortable. The best part was that I needed a printed copy of my PCR test result before flying, and the staff went out of their way to get it done and by sending a guy to the town, because they didn't have a printer in-house.

I couldn't find anything lacking. Just some noise from the nearby traffic but that abated at night.

Only good for 1 night

It's close to the airport, that was the only reason I booked this place. Got a bed and warm shower but that's pretty much all this hotel has to offer.

When I was there I was pretty much the only guest. I am a female solo traveller and it was only men working there, which was okay but even when I walked out of the hotel to town to have a look around I didn't really feel comfortable. Only would go there for a overnight stop to the airport.
