About this house rental
Located in Dauphin Island, this attractive house for $345 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This comfortable waterfront house is located on Quivera Bay with beautiful sunsets of the Mississippi Sound and a view of the Gulf of Mexico, two short blocks from the Gulf. It has a pier for fishing and a place to dock your boat. The master bedroom has a king size bed, guest bedroom 1 has queen size bed, and guest bedroom 2 has a queen size bed. The main living area has a sleeper sofa. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining table seats six comfortably. Great view of the sunset on a covered porch. The house has: Wifi, grill w/ propane provided, boat dock, four TV's with YouTube TV, two crockpots, Keurig Duo, blender. Owner does not allow guest to use the boat lift or the cargo lift

We stayed here in March for 5 nights during our Wisconsin “Spring Break.” My husband and I have been to Dauphin before and we were excited to bring along our 11 year old.
First, we loved the location of the property. We fished everyday off the very large dock, and also walked everyday the 5 minutes over to the Gulf via easy access. This location was ideal for us! The neighborhood was quiet and friendly.
The house was very clean, tastefully decorated, and well-stocked (plenty of dishes, pots and pans, cooking utensils, towels) and the welcome goodies were very unexpected and thoughtful. We also liked the layout of the house, having the master bedroom on one side of the house and the other bedrooms on the other side. The main area was large and perfect for visiting while cooking or watching TV.
We spent lots of time outside in the hammock, reading on the deck, and fishing off the dock. This was definitely a highlight of the property.
While there, we needed to communicate with the property owners over a couple of issues, and they were very responsive.
I can’t say enough positive things about Marks the Spot! We would love to return to this property in the future.

We had a wonderful time staying here!! Kevin & Melissa made our check in process easy and had a line of communication open just in case we should have needed to contact them - which we didn’t because our stay was amazing!! They even had a welcome basket sitting on the counter for us :) The house was clean and inviting!! Plenty of beach towels, bath towels and a fully stocked kitchen for cooking. Their home is located just a block or two from a public beach which made it soooo easy for walking to the beach. A great home in a great location!! We are so thankful they shared their home with us!!

My husband and I enjoyed staying here. The house was on the bay side where you could fish and watch wild life and relax. Out the front of the home was a short walk to a wonderful beach. The owners were friendly and helpful. We would stay again:)

Cannot say enough about how great our stay was. This property is well maintained, Beds are super comfy, and is stocked with the essentials. What a great home away from home vacation/ getaway! We were amazed at the views and how peaceful the location is. We will return.

My family and I enjoyed our 7 night stay at this property! We LOVED the back deck and all the fishing we were able to do off of it. It is conveniently located on the bay and across the street, just a short walk, is beach access. The house was very clean and decorated nicely. It was very cozy and had everything we needed!

My 2nd time, here and am already planning for next year. The Mark's really could teach the Hilton's how to be gracious host's. They have helped to provide memories for my family that are priceless.

We booked this home on a last minute decision to get away for a few days. My son and husband fished off the deck while my daughter and my self hit the beach. The location is incredible as we were able to explore the island on our golf cart. We also loved the gift basket. We plan to book here again!

A little slice of paradise
We booked this trip very last minute with not many options. I’m so glad this little house found us! It was everything our family needed. Kitchen was stocked, plenty of toiletries, the cutest welcome basket and sweet note from the owners. Kevin was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly. We actually decided on Sunday we wanted to stay an extra night and we had it scheduled and paid for within 10 minutes, all while sitting on the beach. Amazing views, we got to see dolphins swimming in and out of the bay in the mornings from the back deck. I worked out on the big deck every morning and then took a walk through the neighborhood. We absolutely loved it here. So peaceful, not touristy and everyone we met was so welcoming and nice! We’ll definitely be back!

This is a beautiful property we love fishing off of the deck and just sitting out there relaxing. The house is very nice as well. We had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again.

Spectacular location. Very clean premises inside and out. Had everything we needed and then some. Suggest getting groceries in Mobile before arriving to the island. Very limited offerings once you get there and prices are double what you normally pay for. If dining on island, we suggest Islanders down the road. Being in the meat and seafood business myself, this is a very fine restaurant and seafood is fresh not from frozen like most locations. The house on the water provided beautiful sunsets and enjoyed visits from the Herons and Loons every evening. We will definitely return soon!

Great Weekend Getaway
Marks The Spot was great for our family of four during our quick Spring Break weekend getaway. Furnishings, location, view, and amenities were better than described. Kevin and his wife were so very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we were welcomed. We are already looking forward to our next stay at Marks The Spot.

The owners seem to have taken a good amount of thought decorating and furnishing the place. We liked the dock and porches as well. We also appreciated the tall ceilings and shower curtains. We also enjoyed the basket the owners left for us. (: Only wish the weather and fish bite was better! We will be back!

Our family had a great time at Marks The Spot. The best hosts, willing to help with any questions we had. The location is great, the beach is beautiful and only a brief walk away. We loved sitting on the porch enjoying the view of the water, and on bad weather days we could still enjoy the view from the living room. The house is clean and well equipped, the kitchen has all that is needed to prepare meals, and there are plenty of bath towels. There are great sightseeing sites on the Island and in the area. The PERFECT Place.
Awesome location, amazing views to the sound side and to the Gulf side. We felt so lucky to have found this amazing rental. We are already looking forward to staying at this property again. Kevin and Melissa were both helpful and easy to communicate with. Our vacation couldn't have been better.
