Breakfast was good and what I've already expected. Good quantities of restrooms inside the bedroom. Lovely staff crew.
Bed qualities. Huge noise from the bar, if you have a soft sleep is gonna be hard to you rest.

Everything but 1 thing
The vending machine only lets you purchase one thing at once, if you do more than 1 then it only charges you for the first item you selected and you have to do it again to get the second item

A good value establishment conveniently situated near the Royal Mile. Bar meal was very tasty.
A bit noisy in the evenings (but does quieten down at a reasonable time).

The location was ideal for attending gigs at Bannermans. It also had a cash machine on site which was handy for grabbing some money before I set off on my next trip. There's a handy wee button at reception for booking taxis which arrived quite promptly. The staff on reception were lovely and informative. Any time I messaged the hostel leading up to my stay, they got back to me in good time and provided me with all the information I requested. The shower in the room had a good water pressure and I had a nice wee table and stools in there too.
First off, no TV in my room. I'm aware that it's a hostel but any others that I've stayed in previously have had one. The shower which as previously mentioned did have good pressure, was like some kind of water torture, going from tepid to freezing all the time. The window although tiny, need an upgrade, expected noise outside on a Saturday night but it sounded as if it was in my room beside me. Upon leaving the amount of people congregating in the foyer when trying to use the cash machine was intimidating. The bed was really uncomfortable and the room was cold. There was also no socket next to the mirror. Finally, the price for one night (£151) was absolutely ludicrous.

Very good location and friendly staff, especially at reception :) Everything was extremely clean! Good breakfast. Noise wasn't as bad as expected, the hostel is in Edinburgh centre so obviously there was some noise from the streets, but inside it was very quiet :)
No light above the mirror, which was located in a small corner, so it was really dark, not really the point of a mirror! The coffee machine at breakfast wasn't working the first morning, but it was fixed the next day.

Nice and close to the centre of Edinburgh, clean and basic. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Nice and quiet!
My key card didn't work, but my friends did so it was ok!
The only thing that I would have preferred is being able to open the window more, but that's just a personal thing!

Very close to Royal Mile. Reception is always open.
Noise from the bar downstairs was loud and kept going till 2am. Room is very small for 4ppl but good for a very short stay. Linen and towels not provided for (though it was mentioned in the terms and conditions).

Centrality
Very small room with average bed.

Pretty central and close to more or less all the main attractions of the city.
Rooms had free lockers under the beds to store luggage, guests just had to bring their own locks 🔒.
The room I stayed in had two windows facing the street and it was pretty noisy at night, especially after the pubs were closed.

The location was incredible. In the old town and very close to touristic places
Super dirty and the staff, even though was very friendly, didn’t assist us. The light of our bathroom didn’t work and they didn’t fix it

I see why this is the second lowest price in Edinburgh on Booking now at the moment...
Crowded rooms of people who don't wash themselves, cards don't work right for no one on the terrace. Staff is really young, inexperienced and unprofessional. I bought souvenirs from their reception, about double the amount for staying there and they still didn't show any respect. I had a business meeting until late hours and couldn't check in after 00:00, so I had to wait until 15 o'clock without sleep. It was heavy raining and I couldn't move easily from there. So I was drinking coffee near reception minding my own things on my laptop and the receptionist tries to kick me out. I talked to the manager straight away, and he helped me to stay as he explained his staff this isn't the way to treat guests. So, as I was waiting until morning to check in, I got in a room of my friend Diego just to put away my suitcases, because they have a locker that seems really unreliable and I carried some valuable items. I was getting ready for the day, when two young girl came in to my room to kick me out of the hotel. As I was leaving they refunded me my 22£ in cash to my hands ! Can you believe this?
One more thing, I bought a coupon for a breakfast worth 7.5£, but couldn't use it as they said they cannot know if I have used it already and didn't drop the coupon in the box compartment. WHAAAAAT ???
Am getting mad as I am writing this because it isn't over. I came to another hotel which I liked and decided to go on a Pub Crawl with my friends. So I payed for it 19.90£ to visit 7 bars in one night. Guess what, first station was a fifty bar, which is actually connected with the hotel as they are next to each other and work together. So, they say to me, you need to go and we will refund you...
I sincerely don't recommend this place to anyone.

24 hour desk. Late checkout for little extra until 2pm.
Location within walking distance to Royal mile and train station.
Secure to get to the elevator and rooms
Breakfast buffet till 11am.
Food options at the bar until 1am.
Private bathroom.
Sheets, towels were not already set up in the room, had to get them at the front desk.
No toilet paper holder.
No AC or fan in room.
Basic dorm style room with minimal conveniences.

Property is near the station and near the Royal Mile. They have two lifts available.
We booked a 4-bed dorm and the toilet wasn’t cleaned when we checked-in, there were hairs on the walls and the whole area just reeks. There were no fans in the room so the room felt stuffy and we can’t even close the windows even though the bar downstairs is too loud. They say they have quiet hours from 10pm onwards but they were loud until 4am-5am in the morning. Had to book at another hotel to get some peace and quiet and to be able to shower comfortably.

Great location just off the Royal Mile in Old Town so easy access to everything. The bar downstairs was good value for drinks and a simple meal. Renovated bathroom was great and it was clean but beds were only ok.
The lift was broken and carrying suitcases up 3 levels of windy stairs was back breaking. Bar was noisy but they had a 10.00 curfew which helped control the noise.

I really liked the location. I was perfect for my visit. Staff was nice and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable for sleep.

Location
Power socket far from the bed, force you to leave your stuff unattended. You only have a light on the bed, no space for personal item. First lock was broken, I had to change room, same situation in the second room assigned.

Very good location!
I didn't like to wear the bed sheets...at least my bed was the bottom one, because the top one is very difficult to do this.
