Resort in general, pool areas are ok. Dirty beach.
Too much seaweed.
Service in restaurants sucks. You are lucky if you get a soda before you finish your meal.

Everything was in one place, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
They tried to sell me a timeshare, and I was taken by surprise, being that I am on vacation to relax, not to put myself in a financial burden. I felt it to be a little misleading.

The beach.
The air conditioner didn’t work well, specially in the room

lovely room, beautiful beach.
very poor communication with front desk and staff. felt we were being given mixed messages daily on room, restaurants assigned and housekeeping.

We all got food poisoning.

The hotel is beautiful decorated, spacious and clean.
The manager on duty- Josue, made our stay for our sister bachelorette extra especial.
The buffet had variety and food was always delicious.
Entertainment by the recreation team was always fun!
The restaurants was understaffed, we made a few reservations but it took quite long to have the food/ drinks delivered.
It was not worth the wait, we preferred the buffet.
Transportation from and to the airport is not included, going outside the hotel can easily be $80.00 US one way. Plan ahead.

outdated rooms, the beach was worst I’ve ever been to, unkept, seaweed all over, had to step through a mountain of seaweed to get to the water witch was not blue and clear but very dirty and scary to swim into. I only got in once.
Some of the bartenders and servers were mean, they were not attentive at all, did not ask meif I wanted a drink, was no service at the beach to get a drink unless you walked to the bar which had a line of 20-30 minutes wait time each time. then when I asked for Coco Loco, they said he ran out, we had all inclusive food and drinks, but couldn’t drink or eat most of it. Also the chef at the beach buffet was in a bad mood, food was awful, I could not eat any of it. The chef was not even eating that food, he was dipping bread into coffee and eating that for lunch, that explained the type of food he was cooking since he was not even eating it. The food at the restaurants was terrible too. The buffet could follow standard precautions and have all the customers put a glove on before touching the tongs to put food in the plate in order to help spread germs. I got sick on my third day over there, I had diarrhea, the next day my four year-old vomited twice in the morning. Luckily, no one else got sick. we were washing and disinfecting our hands all the time. I could not eat much after that, I wasn’t even drinking unless he was beer in a can hard to trust those plates that I saw food stuck on them and probably the cups were not clean either. Staff could not keep up with the amount of work, you could tell they are overworked, which I feel sorry for them.
One lady burned her hand because the tongs were too hot, this happened at the buffet by the pool.
I could go on and on, but in essence, make sure you have enough people that can handle the amount of visitors and keep up with the cleaning and serving your customers. we went to the coffee shop and there was ants in the coffee, picture attached. The water park was nice and the food was better over...

Staff was quite friendly.
Horrible. Dining facilities were obviously overwhelmed by the number of guests. Couldn’t even get plates for the buffet line. And all the restaurants had earliest availability at 9pm. For a family of 4 with 2 young kids, that bad. And the buffet lines were out the door from about 6 to 8pm. This place has 900 rooms and obviously cannot support the load.

there were plenty of activities. you could not get bored there
lobby was ok
Hotel was overbooked. they could not keep up with meal. breakfast, lunch, dinners all had 30-45 mins wait time and if you’re lucky, you get a plate at the buffet. if not, wait another 10 mins for plates. meal time at 6-8pm was a nightmare. unless you’re happy dining at 9 or past that, you will not have a pleasant time.
Rooms had issues. We had cockroaches that visited multiple times daily. The hotel suggested they could fumigate the room. No way I would let them do that with kids around. also they were overbooked so switching rooms was not an option.
Pool restaurant had tables and chairs that were not cleared of bird poop. i get it that there’s birds. but the least the hotel could do was to get the chairs washed every other day. there’s poop everywhere! fresh ones, dried ones.
Beach was covered in seaweed. There’s a clearing in the morning. But that’s not enough through the day.
Waterpark that was part of the property was so old, rusty and minimal.

Nice beach, select Staff members
Leaving aside the Norovirus outbreak and days of gastroenteritis, this resort has poor management. At check-in you are assigned a Concierge based upon your booking operator. We were assigned Heriberto and went to meet him but pulled aside by Hector who booked 3 dinners. I was asked to write down the information, he apparently didn’t use the email booking system. None of the 3 were actually made and we treated poorly on arrival to the restaurant. The buffet areas are not clean. Several times we saw staff take glassware, wipe it with a cloth, and then used again. Plates were dirty, utensils were hard to find. The buffets were understaffed. The pasta station was at times 10-20 people deep as it was the only reliable food. The cook did one order a time in a single pan. We tipped housekeeping $20 each morning and despite leaving notes of thanks never had enough bath towels, and the minibar wasn’t replenished daily. The water park is dated. The mattress slide caused injuries from elbows, knees and feet being skinned. The 2 open slides were usually closed. On the one day they were open we saw 2 men plunge at the bottom and become disoriented in the turbulence. The life guard was posted the, literally holding up part of the slide by hand. He responded rapidly to the 2 near-drownings. A dangerous slide. FWIW the bar at the water park only has beer, no mixed drinks. There is very little sun cover at the park and be aware you cannot wear UV protecting shirts, even small children. Overall there is no sense of Management being present and there is marked variability in attitude between employees. Some were wonderful but clearly no culture of excellence towards service. Back to the outbreak: there was no sense of concern from the Resort management. Many families were affected and had to receive medical care for dehydration. There was no noticeable changing in cleanliness, no hand-sanitizers at the restaurants, no sense of extra cleaning or care of the facilities.

The resort is beautiful! Location ideal, on beautiful beach, pools were very clean, the room on 3rd floor was awesome, high ceiling, nice patio, lots of lights. The drinks were great but the food was just okay. Our concierge Joshue was the best, he informed us of all the great activities going on at the hotel and booked us almost every night a table at the different restaurants. Joshue was really a big help through our travel. The show at night by the Animation Super were impressive and the kids club was great for our 2 children. We booked a couple massage at the Spa and it was one of the best massage me and my husband ever had. I highly recommend this resort and we will be back for sure. Oh and I almost forgot to talk about the aquapark which was so fun!
The food at the restaurants was just okay, the noise level in the restaurants was pretty high and the smell at the buffet locations was not pleasant but it was manageable by choosing to eat on the patio when space was available.

Facilities, very family oriented resort, no disruptions or anything annoying... very good for stay with children. Even though hotel was fully booked, the resort is huge and we didn't feel any crowds or didn't need to queue. Nice beach and pools and great food provided all days long
Nice staff, overall very kind and helpful
We saw few times cockroaches in the bathroom
Booking an airport transfer from the hotel to the airport by one receptionist - she was cheating with the agreed price (agreed amount with her was in the end requested more than three times higher by taxi driver and after calling her, she was absolutely cheating and lying to us, didn't want to call her boss to resolve the problem)

Nice and spacious room, overall a nice property
A bit dirty, moldy and smelly air conditioning triggered my allergies (I asked to be moved to a different room and it was better, but should not have happened in the first place)
Some of guest-facing staff spoke very poor English, so arranging anything was a pain
The beach was not cleaned so there was trash mixed in with sand and the big pile of seaweed by the shore (it was cleaned up during my stay)

The beach is ok, clean and the ocean is great.
The ambiance is ok.
Just a few concierges are great.
One of the worst hotels in years.
It is incredible how from the moment you arrive you are in the hands of employees with little training in customer service, that is to say, if the person is friendly then good for you and if don't put up with it. I never saw a service management policy anywhere, you're in the hands of employees, that's it.
The facilities are very dirty, the rooms are terrible, dirty, full of mold, terrible musty smell, the restaurants do not speak, you see the dirt at all times, you never see anyone sweeping or mopping.
They had to change our room 3 times, no air conditioning, mold in the bathrooms, the safe didn't work, every day they have to open it, etc.
In the pool, we did the whole week in the same place, the dirt accumulated day after day, they never swept, and the pool was very dirty. We were next to the sales room of his club and the roof was being repaired... well, all debris went to the pool and the next day it was there, it's still the same.
The food leaves a lot to be desired. Poor quality, lousy taste and if someone has special food requirements they are in the wrong place, for example the response to vegetarian requests was there are always salads, which person who is a vegetarian will eat lettuce and tomato for a week? None. You promote that there are vegetarian options, that is not true.
The ethnic restaurants for dinner are always booked according to the concierge, but when you pass by or go in they're absolutely empty, maybe 40% is occupied, they want you to go to the buffet, that's it.
In short, it is a very poorly maintained hotel, poorly managed and with poorly motivated staff.
