Handy location near the T1 tram stop, easy to reach from the big train stations. Very comfortable beds, pleasant view from the small balcony, nice breakfast. The lift worked and there was a certain charm to the period features of the building. The shutters on the windows were both pretty and effective, while fans helped with the warm temperatures.
Some of the hotel seems to be half way through a renovation and looks like a building site. This didn't bother us though. The carpet is old and worn and the room a bit too hot. There was no conditioner in the showers for hair washing, which was annoying.

A good basic hotel, the shower is just plain weird.
Staff at reception seem very inexperienced

The Hotel is fine. The staff awesome and the location perfect.
It is located close to the center. Actually the whole city looks like a huge center and Lyon is just beautiful.
I have read a lot of comments about the neighborhood not being safe or something, but all due respect to the other guests ...not even close. It is just a multicultural area but in a good way, the whole area is beautiful and the streets are clean.
It takes some time for a stranger to get used to the way you need to use the public transportation, but when you do so, then you find out it is not that complicated and you can move easily from point to point. The only problem with the city, if you're a Mediterranean (...or a Latino) trust me, is the food. The people here eat really early! They live in a different way, but of course we have to adapt to their lifestyle, we are the visitors. But that has nothing to do with the Hotel.
Also, the Hotel must have been a classy one, like 30 years ago, but still looks nice. The room was clean and really warm. The bathroom was renovated and comfortable. The breakfast could be a 5 star hotel breakfast, also very good. I am a receptionist myself and I can tell it's worth it. It's a descent place to stay and the price is fair.
Thank you!

Some of our group had upgraded rooms some didn’t … my room needed some updating . Breakfast options were poor for €10 . I only had coffee as they was no other options . The coffee was poor so went to bakers opposite
