Water Front on Little Glen Lake
About this cottage rental
Nestled in Glen Lake, this lovely cottage for $399 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Timber Trail is tucked on the North Shore of Little Glen with water views of the pristine waters of Glen Lake just steps away. Little Glen is ideal for the little ones, it has a nice firm sandy bottom and does not get deep right away. This traditional lake front cottage is clean and well kept with a fully stocked kitchen. It has great outdoor spaces for the entire family with private waterfront, sandy shoreline, outdoor seating, patio, fire pit, private dock and mooring buoy for boaters. This is a fantastic location for your family to enjoy time at the lake and be within 10 minutes of downtown Glen Arbor, The Sleeping Bear Dunes, and several biking and walking trails. The lake front home is located deep in the woods far from the road and is exceptionally quiet and private. Glen Arbor, the dune climb and Lake Michigan are just minutes drive away. The Alligator Hill trail system is right across the road so if you are a dog walker, there are miles of pristine wooded trails to hike. I have stayed here several times in the past 15 years. All of the appliances have been updated and are very nice. The TV and the Wi-fi worked well. The home is older and the decor is dated but all perfectly adequate. If you value privacy and don't need luxurious touches, this is an ideal Leelanau vacation site.

Great location. Lovely cabin
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we needed. There are lots of outside spaces, great views of the lake from inside and out, and a well-stocked kitchen. You can see the Sleeping Bear dunes right from the cabin.

It is a great location. The house is a little run down. If fixed up it would be amazing

Excellent location, close to town, we enjoyed a quiet and leisurely stay at this classic vintage cottage. Private beach was just enough space for our group of 6 (and two dogs). The house is on the smaller side, but there was just enough room for everyone to be comfortable and have a little privacy. House and property could use a little sprucing up, but if you aren’t too particular about modern amenities and quality of the home, you’ll find this place well suited to kick back and relax. There are not many lights to illuminate the path down to the beach at night, highly recommend bringing flashlights. Overall, we had a great stay in this property

Property has potential, but needs to be taken care of to be vacation home. Musty smell and mouse traps in every room is a problem.

The fall colors were amazing. The house is nestled on Little Glen Lake, and was perfect for the long weekend. It is a little dated in the style but a great place to stay

Beautiful views
My family & I enjoyed our stay. Beautiful falls colors all around the lake. Cottage can use some updating but still a nice stay regardless. Would stay again.

Nice setting and location. Home is in desperate need of updating both inside and outside. Home was very musty when we arrived. “Rid” moisture hanging bags were in every room, which made the odor worse. Smelled awful. Also, several outside post lights in the backyard were burned out. Overall, it was clean, cozy and quiet. Thank you!

House was ideal location, minutes from Glen Arbor with views of Sleeping Bear Dunes and steps to private lakefront on beautiful Little Glen Lake. Small beach area and (very) shallow water for young kids to wade in. While everything worked fine for us in the house, the property could use some updating (furniture, carpeting, linens) and felt a bit musty; we did not feel comfortable in the house during rainy days.

Nice Area
We had a great time staying up in Glen Arbor and Empire for the week and would recommend anyone to visit the area and explore! The location is outstanding and you can’t get much closer to The Climb at Sleeping Bear and the beaches of Glen Haven and Empire.
Unfortunately the cottage needs a refresh. We enjoyed the rustic cabin feel but it came with too many quirks and faults for our liking to stay again. Dryer trips breakers, ceiling leakers when it rains, shower heads are half functioning, leaking kitchen sink and a few others functionally and cosmetically that should be repaired and taken care of before the property is rented.
