Situated in Holmes Beach, this lovely house for $648 per night is a great option for your next break. VRC's 16-000499 & 16-000500 Welcome to the SS Salamander located at 121 50th Street in Holmes Beach. This duplex is just a one block stroll down a side street to the beautiful white, sandy beaches. It's located in a quiet and preferred residential neighborhood yet it's easily within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. A great combination of tranquility and convenience! The SS Salamander has a beautiful 17' x 36' heated pool surrounded by beautiful landscaping and lots of comfortable pool furniture. This Holmes Beach vacation getaway also has a large covered deck which is a perfect spot to relax after a day at the beach. There is gas grill and an outside shower for your use. A "shared" laundry room with a new full size washer and dryer is onsite for your use as well. Each unit also features undercover, off street parking. The SS Salamander North unit features a 55" flat screen television in the living room. The main bedroom has a 14" television. This unit sleeps five with a queen size bed, one full and one twin bed. The SS Salamander South unit features a 55" television in the living room and a 19" television in the bedroom. This unit sleeps five with a queen size bed, one full and one twin bed. The spacious living areas and kitchens make this a perfect spot for family reunions. The SS Salamander is a one week minimum rental Not a pet friendly rental Parking is limited to four vehicles. You are vacationing in a residential area. Please be a good neighbor by keeping the noise to a respectful level during the day and night. Excessive and unreasonable noise can deprive neighbors of the peaceful enjoyment of their private property.

Free trolly stops one block away and easy walking distance to shopping and restaurants. 60 yards from the beach entrance. Will stay here again

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are a party of 8 (4 couples) who like to get away fall for some sun and relaxation. We have stayed at a few places right on the beach and paid a much higher rate. This property is literally less than a 5-minute walk from the house to the sand between your toes. The accommodations were very nice and there was plenty of room for the 8 of us. There is a large deck out front where you can have your morning coffee, a meal or read a book. The neighborhood is very quiet and there's no street parking which means the beach is never crowded. The back yard is an oasis in itself. It has lots of places to relax whether it's on a lounge chair poolside or at 1 of the tables. There is a large grill, firepit and outdoor shower. If your looking for a quiet place with beautiful beaches and some nice places to dine out and shop, this is it. Some of the restaurants we liked were The Waterfront Restaurant (we went twice), The Ugly Grouper ( a fun place with good food), The Beach House Waterfront Restaurant). We picked up pizza at Pizza Social and also sandwiches at Scotts Deli (really good). Scotts Deli also delivered to us right on the beach on day. Everyone Had a great time and said they would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall Good Stay. Island Vacation Rentals was super responsive. Only complaint is that several things had to be addressed (Propane out in grill, dishwasher and washing machine breakers were tripped and pool was not cleaned) however they addressed them all within a reasonable amount of time. Master Beds in both units were not great and sort of annoying an irrigation contractor showed up to service the system while we were there parking in drive way for hour or two. Otherwise units were clean, well stocked and great communication along with awesome location

Great property to share with another family, close walk to beach, great outdoor pool and seating area, love the outdoor shower too. Wish they had more beach chairs available. The ones there were broken We would definitely rent this property again

The pool was very nice and large enough for the six of us. The furniture was a little old/outdated. There was plenty of outdoor seating whether it was by the pool, on the deck, or the crows nest. Loved being able to park under the deck. It kept the car cool on the hot days and dry on the rainy days. The house is located in the middle-ish of the island. Holmes Beach has very soft sand compared to other parts of the island. They had plenty of floats and beach wagon to borrow. Liked the idea of the fridge downstairs in laundry room. Could store drinks for pool and beach. The pool and proximity to the beach were best parts.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: SUPER GREAT location. Great Pool size - 9 in our group. Property does need maintenance:rising nails in deck, sliding door (North unit) almost impossible to open, bad leak between awning and door (South unit), both units need more food/staples storage if you utilize the kitchen and not go out every night! Stocked very well w/food prep, tableware, etc. However, small refrig. in each unit. We were there last week of June 2020 and did most of our eating in. Would stay there again w/some updates/repairs.

The house had all the amenities that we needed and the most wonderful pool! Loved being able to hit the beach and return back to house for a break without worrying about parking or traffic. The outside porches made wonderful morning coffee spot. This is really in the best location! We will definitely be returning!
