New owners are working to update the home even further, recently added a brand new fully finished lower level, to bring this beauty to the next level. Crown Jewel boasts 9 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms, all on an extra-large lot, with high end furnishings throughout. You simply will not find anything bigger or better. And the house comes with plenty of extras, including a large outdoor deck with cocktail lights, a tower bedroom high above Lake Kai with tremendous views, a custom golf cart with roof rack, a beautiful stone fire pit, a kid's bedroom with custom built-in stadium stacked triple bunks for movie night, and what many consider to be the nicest coach house in all of Beachwalk. Crown Jewel is the pinnacle of the Beachwalk experience and is not to be missed. Enter the house up a beautifully manicured stone staircase with a breezy screened-in porch perfect for bug free card games in the evening or coffee in the morning. A large open family space greets you with a living room and TV next to a massive custom dining room table along with two other smaller tables to provide dining seating for 24. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you might need, and it sits right next to a walk-in pantry complete with a second refrigerator. Past the pantry you’ll find a beautiful main floor master suite (bedroom 1), perfect for those family members who may not be able to go up and down the stairs quite so easily. Across the hall from the bedroom is a main floor washer and dryer enclosure with another half bath around the corner. The nine-foot-high ceiling lower level offers two bedrooms, the larger of which features a built-in triple bunkbed, full over twin over twin with a built-in staircase leading to the top and middle bunk (bedroom 2) next to a built-in twin xl over twin xl. The built-ins face a 50-inch TV for stadium seating for kid movie nights. Your kids (and the adults) will not believe how cool this set-up is. The bedroom across the hall has an additional queen, for a more quiet retreat for mom and dad (bedroom 3). The lower level also includes a brand-new full bathroom with walk-in shower and a large living room with a massive 65-inch flat screen TV and assorted parlor games. Up the stair from the main level is one of the most perfectly appointed second floors in all of Beachwalk. Four lovely bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and a desk space for the unfortunate family member who has to do a few hours of work while on vacation. Bedroom 4 has three twin beds, and it shares a bathroom with bedroom 5, which has a queen. Bedrooms 6 and 7 are each master suites in their own right, complete with queen beds and en-suite full bathrooms. The third floor (bedroom 8) is yet another absolute delight, built in a tower looming over Lake Kai. The room has two sets of bunk beds looking out the window at incredible views. Your family is sure to remember this truly magical space. Out the back door of the main level is a large deck with multiple tables to fit your family along with two grills. Stairs lead off the deck to a beautiful stone outdoor fire pit for marshmallow roasts and storytelling. And on the opposite side of the deck sits Sapphire, Crown Jewel’s stunning coach house. This was the perfect place for 28 family members to gather for Christmas. The kitchen area was kind of cramped with the eating area and the living room was on the smaller size. Other than that, it eas perfect.

I am so sorry for the delay. We loved the size of the home, the proximity to the pool and lake, and the fire pit. The dining area was large enough for all 18 of us to sit for a birthday dinner. They were adequate spaces for the adults and kids to sleep comfortably, including a main floor bedroom for our matriarch. We did run into a couple of issues with the house- the water was dangerously hot and there was a leak downstairs. The office staff was very responsive and did the best that they could to assist us but the house will need some attention including some cleaning/ updating of the outdoor furnishings. We want to give a shout out to Dakota who came and took some memorable family photos!!Overall it was a great fit for our group and we hope to make our family reunions at Beachwalk a bit longer and more often in the future! Thank you all!

The house location was good, close to the pool, walkable to the beach. However, while the house was clean, it was very “lived in.” Some showers with mold, etc. The kitchen was the biggest issue. First, there was a large amount of ants in the kitchen and huge amount in the pantry, so much we had to throw away about half our food. Also for the size of the house the kitchen was too small, and the oven was old and didn’t work great. Wouldn’t stay there again.

We enjoyed the facilities and activities as part of the Beachwalk rental. The house was large enough for 28 in our family. The golf cart was very useful. Pool clean, easy to access. We used the kayak, paddle boats, basketball court and Lake Michigan. The house did not have enough common area space for out social time. The sink in the basement did not have the water connected. A handle to the screen porch was broken off, ants in the kitchen, very unclean linens in the guest house in the linen cabinet that made the upstairs smell terrible.

Our family always has a great vacation at Beachwalk. This year was no exception. It was our first time at Crown Jewel and Sapphire. Overall it didn't disappoint. The dishwasher and kitchen faucet needed attention and maintenance was prompt. (The dishwasher is old and probably needs replacing). The French door to the front porch was difficult to use, the handle kept falling off, again maintenance responded, but was unable to repair it. Having a pantry with extra refrigerator and stand alone ice maker was awesome! Purging the house of items left by other guests and broken things would free up space and make the house more inviting. Sapphire was very nice and well equipped. The golf cart was very handy. It was a very good week! We will be back at Beachwalk again.

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed everything Beachwalk had to offer! The beaches were really nice, the neighborhood is very cute and welcoming, and there is plenty to do! The house was as described and accommodated our large family really well! It was a great time and place to celebrate my parents’ 60th anniversary!

The property had plenty of space to accommodate our group of 22. The inside was very clean and well maintained. We had some issues working the tv's in the basement, however that by no means ruined our stay. There was plenty of table space so that everyone could sit down together for meals. We caught some fish and kayaked on Lake Kai and also enjoyed the sand volleyball court. We also cruised around the property on the included golf cart. Overall this was a great place to stay and Beachwalk Rentals was great to work with.

We had a great intergenerational time. The house worked great for our needs. The pictures online helped us well organize our sleeping arrangements. We enjoyed the golf cart. The house did have a problem with ants in the kitchen - both the big house and guest house - which did affect our food storage. The front porch really needed a good cleaning for start of season as well, which we realize we were there in May, as there was a lot of dust and bugs. Seemed it need to be opened up and vacuumed out well.

Overall the house was what our large group needed. The general maintenance of the outdoor area was very disappointing. A tree needed cut away from window, the yard needed attention, the lights didn't work on back deck. Inside the main house we also came across things that we needed to call about for maintenance to address. The management group was very responsive and we will rent from group again.

Great house- clean, well stocked, tons of room with great layout, front porch to relax on, fire pit in back for the fall evenings when we were there, Lake Michigan within walkable distance, great restaurants nearby( Leeds Public House, The Stray Dog Bar&Grill, Shady Creek Winery) golf and shopping close by. Also, the staff and the owner were easy to work with and very helpful! All in all, would highly recommend this “Jewel”!

This was our 2nd time staying at Crown Jewel for our family vacation. We love all the rental has to offer including golf cart, extra fridge, ice maker, plenty of bathrooms, location to pool and beach. This is the 3rd house we have rented at Beachwalk and happy to say they have replaced a leather couch, area rug, 7 new outdoor lounge chairs. The kitchen is showing some wear and the porch furniture. I do think that in the off season the rentals could use a good thorough cleaning. We are booked for 2023 at Crown Jewel

We had a wonderful week. The layout of this house was perfect for our extended family of 14 including 4 children under 10. The tables and chairs for eating were perfect. However the house needs a deep clean and regular maintenance. The rugs are very dirty and stained and need to be deep cleaned or replaced. The bed in the Master bedroom squeaks badly and needs to be replaced. The toilet in the Master runs and needs to be fixed. The grills are ancient. One is missing flavorizor bars and the lighters don’t work on either. The kitchen is dated and the dishwasher quit working entirely 2 days before we left. The sheets provided were old and thin and the cover sheet in the Master was a twin sheet on a queen bed. Great house but needs work.

This was the 3rd time we stayed in this home. I was very disappointed to see the condition of the home. The home is getting tired and it does not look as if it is being updated. Owners are not investing back into the property. Neither the front door or back door locks worked. Wood boards were rotten on the deck and needed to be replaced and painted. Porch cushions were tired. Half of the blinds did not work. Beds were uncomfortable. Dishwasher barely worked. Cabinets need to be cleaned out so renters are able to use them. Would not rent this house again.

Housekeeping brought what we needed by the next day. It felt like the house wasn't thoroughly cleaned and ready for us which was disappointing since it wasn't cheap to spend a week. Think we left it cleaner than when we arrived!

Booked this for my wedding party of about 22 people. Very accommodating, the area was gorgeous and the golf cart was a plus. The kitchen was absolutely swarming with ants so we could not leave a crumb out without seeing at least 50 ants and the exterior doors were very frustrating, working half the time and knobs constantly falling off. Outside of that, this was an amazing place and I would come back if the ant problem was resolved.

Both houses were fully stocked which was welcomed. There was ping pong, foosball and darts in the basement. Loved the screened in front porch. Only issue we had was ants starting to show up (early in the season, to be expected) and the electronic door code not working initially but maintenance assisted us quickly. Both properties are updated and in great shape. Location is great, only a short walk to the beach with Washington Zoo just down the street. Overall great property and great location - don't hesitate to rent Crown Jewel and Sapphire.

All of my 20 guest LOVED the house, from the bathrooms, basement and bedrooms. There was a little issue with the sink in the basement but management came RIGHT AWAY and took care of it. The pictures are EXACTLY what to expect!!!

This house was EVERYTHING AND MORE!!!
