Free parking was a bonus. Washroom is a bit dated. Kitchen knives are super dull. No serving plates or bowls for snacks and appetizers. Broken TV cabinet.

Nice and clean and did the job. Best price we could find in whistler, probably explained by the 40min walk to collect the key for check in and also long walk in ski boots to the gondola. Aside from that we enjoyed using kitchen facilities and shared hot tub. We were missing extra blankets for the fold out couch but we called the 24hr reception and they had some delivered quickly for us.

There is considerable damage to kitchen floor and countertop that is MANY years old. Further, someone should actually scrub the tub of the black spots.

Great room, convoluted check in process
Great room, convoluted check in process
The unit is quaint but spacious, with a nice kitchen and perfect for three of us who stayed there. The unit is comfy and private, and the small balcony is a nice touch in the summer weather. Rooms on one side overlook the parking lot and the other side overlooks the Whistler Olympic Park stage. Anyone looking for perfect peace and quiet might not be totally pleased, as noise from car alarms, sirens, and music from the stage carry quite a bit, but we found it to be great.

The only annoying aspect was the check-in and checkout procedure, since the market place doesn’t have its own front desk. Check in and check out is at a different hotel, the Aspens on Blackcomb, which is across Whistler Village. For travelers with large bags and no vehicle, which I imagine is most travelers in Whistler, this was a bit cumbersome. There are lots of shuttles that travel around the village to and from certain hotels, but the employees at the Aspens know where they went or when they would be coming.

So leave lots of time and do as much research as you can to understand the inner workings of Whistler and the Marketplace check in, and you will be golden!
