About this house rental
Nestled in Seaside, this attractive house for $859 per night is a great choice for your next break. 1 KING, 2 QUEENS, 1 BUNK ROOM (4 twins, sleeps four) Welcome to ‘Key Lime.’ This iconic Seaside, Florida, single story beach cottage with wrap-around porches and operable shutters closely follows traditional, vernacular cottages built generations ago in waterfront towns along the Panhandle! Freshly renovated and featured in Seaside Style, Key Lime is located midway between the beach and the West Pool, on the footpath to town center, and has access to the private Odessa Street Beach Pavilion. The shaded side yard deck with generous amounts of Adirondack seating, a grill and outdoor string lighting maximizes your outdoor living experience. Step through double mahogany screen doors and into a deep front and side porch and the magic of this one level house unfolds. A tastefully decorated interior offers a continuous living room that features a 55" Smart TV and dining space at the center of the house, with soaring ceiling and cypress beams to give an open coastal cottage feel. Two sets of custom mahogany French doors in the living room swing out to the porches to savor the outdoors. V-groove wood walls and ceilings and maple wood floors are throughout the house, and an antique chandelier brings a bit of old world to the central dining area. A charming, well-equipped kitchen is tucked just off the living room that features a separate ice maker. Key Lime features four bedrooms, arranged into three suites that anchor the corners of the home. At the front of the residence, guests can locate a queen bedroom with a full bath, as well as direct access to the front porch. At the back of the house, a master suite features a king-size bed, double closets and a double vanity with a walk-in shower. The master suite opens to both the front and back porch. On the other back corner, a family suite features a full bath with a tub shower combo, a bunk room with four beds and a queen bedroom with an additional half bath. This layout was designed with our guests' convenience in mind, as one can walk through the bunk room to access the queen bedroom or enter directly from the back porch. The heart of the house is the deep screen porch that wraps around the front and side of the house accommodating a mahogany table with seating for 8. Plantation chairs and vintage rattan furniture complete this screened area for relaxing with a glass of wine or morning cup of coffee. An equally deep porch with bed swing at the rear of the house affords the master bedroom and rear queen bedroom a quiet private outdoor retreat. Additional amenities: Charcoal Grill, 2 adult bikes, sofa sleeper, private outdoor shower, washer/dryer, and a manicured yard with al-fresco dining. Fireplace is decorative only. *Sat-Sat 7 night minimum for Summer, 5 night minimum for Spring Break; 3 night minimum Fall & Winter. Must be 25 years of age to rent and sign registration. Key Lime is in a great location close to the beach and west side pool. It accommodated our family of ten but there were two major drawbacks:The back two bedrooms were extremely cold. They must not be insulated properly. This cottage should not be rented in the colder months until it is fixed. I had to sleep with four blankets.The floors were dirty. We have found this to be a universal problem at Seaside. We rent houses at Seaside almost every summer and at New year’s. For the past few years the floors have been filthy, with the soles of our feet blackened with dirt shortly after arrival.We have been renting at Seaside for over thirty years and I didn’t recall this being a problem until the past few years. Maybe coincides with the invention of the Swiffer. Swishing dirt around a floor does not clean it. Hot water, a good mop and a cleaner made for wooden floors may seem old-fashioned but it works.

Highly recommend! Cleanliness is my hot button and this cottage is immaculate. Kitchen is well stocked. I uniquely designed with so many outdoor spaces and beautifully decorated. The pictures absolutely represent the cottage. We felt right at home the minute we walked in and loved how it is walking distance to the beach and Seaside shopping/restaurants. No need to have a car. We will definitely be back!

Overall- great home and great location. We booked this home because it was the last one available in Seaside for the dates needed. The home was nice, well kept, close to beach and had almost everything one would need. For the price, one would think minimal beach gear would be included. There were a couple moldy beach chairs in the back that were possibly left from other renters, but we had to rent all of our beach gear. Additionally, it would have been nice to find a high chair and pack n play in one of the closets to accommodate young ones. All the rooms were very nice and equipped with everything needed. The porch room was hot and didn’t like having to walk through another room to get to it. The large porch and access to beach set the home apart for sure!

This cottage was amazing. It worked perfectly for my husband and I, our teenage kids and their friends. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone.
The house was clean, beautifully decorated and in a prime location to all that seaside has to offer. Access to the beach and pool was super close and convenient .
I would highly recommend this property and would return in a heartbeat.

We loved loved loved Key Lime! The house is just so livable and so cute. The location of the bedrooms gives space to all of the guests and the porches are perfect spots to relax. The location to the beach is also great. The complimentary wine, pie and fudge were great additions. We will be back!

Key Lime was a family favorite when our grandsons made their first trips to Seaside and this trip for the now grown up teenagers did not disappoint. Walks to the beach and town are short and quick and the addition of the bunk room is an A plus. The front porch, once again, became a favorite spot for evening conversations and bringing previous visits to the forefront. It was a lot of fun.

It’s not easy getting up or down from the top bunks, even for kids. Other than that, we loved our stay at Key Lime and would definitely stay again. Thank you!

We had a great fall break at Key Lime! The wraparound porches were so fabulous for hanging out on. The location was perfect...close to the beach, pool, and Seaside town center. We loved being able to walk and bike everywhere. The house was spacious and perfect for our family of 5. The only negative was that the ice maker was broken. We will definitely be back!

I stayed at Key Lime in October 2020. It was such an enjoyable experience I wanted to come back. We did love our stay but the house was not as pristine and well kept as I remember from a year ago. The porch was dirty, the microwave did not work so there was a 2nd one on the counter...which took up a lot of room. The kitchen sink faucet sprayed water everywhere each time it was used. The bathroom tub(by washer/dryer) had mold around the top and the bottom of the toilet was unclean. The outside area where the garbage cans are kept, was broken. Just not what I expected this trip.
