We absolutely loved this house, very clean, very quiet neighborhood, close to the beach to walk. Spacious rooms and well appointed. Very close to a lot of restaurants, grocery store and nice market on Wed. And Sat. Extra features such as the hot tub, ping pong and fiirepit. Really nice yard with the most magnificent and stunning Live Oak Tree. We could not stop admiring it. The kitchen is extremely spacious and well equiped a dream to cook in. We are planning our next trip back and staying longer.

Property was better than expected! The included amenities such as the bonfire pit and hot tub made our weekend getaway that much better. The location was great. Not too far from downtown and just a short walk to the beach. The icing on the cake was watching the fireworks display on NYE from the wrap around balcony.

We loved the Golden Mile Retreat! The home was stunning, the perfect location, no detailed missed and the communication was perfection. We can’t wait to stay again!

We were wowed by the tree in the backyard and the natural setting. Very convenient to walk to restaurants and the beach.

The property was perfect for our family Thanksgiving gathering. The kitchen was massive and a joy to work in.

It was a great house for 3 couples coming to hang at the beach and see the downtown Christmas lights! Walking distance to beach and restaurants.

We are from Orlando so not far but wanted to stay in St Augustine to kick of the Night of Lights and hang out at the beach. My son loves pong pong so it was a great surprise to him. Love being able to walk to restaurants for any meal and even ice cream Maydays. Overall great stay and easy to get to the festivities we were looking forward to.

The house was perfect with two large living spaces to accommodate my family traveling for my sisters wedding. We were able to sleep everyone and get ready for the wedding with plenty of space. There was a wagon to get to the beach and plenty of towels. The only feedback is the amount of kitchen supplies. There wasn’t a lot to accommodate cooking for more than a few people so I would recommend investing in more baking sheets, serving trays and bowls since this is a large house and ultimately many people will be eating there.

Our group of 6 enjoyed the home and spacious rooms in this home. It’s close to the beach and good restaurants. Easily able to get an uber to town or drive to St Augustine.
Master bath needs new rug, disappointed the rooftop deck unavailable and didn’t find out til day before arrival.
Could use some leaf blowing and cleanup around the exterior seating areas.

I had a great stay at the property. The living space and kitchen are large and open for easy gathering. We slept 7 people easily. Only feedback I have is the sunset deck was closed and I wish they had informed me about this before the stay, as it is in the photos, and the kitchen supplies for cooking were very limited for such a beautiful large kitchen.
Great stay, highly recommend

Fantastic place just as described. Will definitely stay here again.

The only issue I had was that the shower in the master bedroom could use a mat and bars for safety for us old folks. Otherwise everything was great. Thanks!!

The house was perfect for our group with 6 adults and 3 children The owners were very responsive and the house was very clean and spacious. The house is very convenient to the beach ,restaurants, shopping. We were glad we brought our wagons to take things back and forth from the beach as it was a block and a half walk. We thought the linens could be replaced as some had stains on them. But other than this we enjoyed our stay and would book this place again!

This property is everything promised and then some! Lots of space, comfortable beds, extra towels and blankets, a large backyard, and a very responsive host. We didn't use the hot tub, but it was ready for us. The beach was a very close walk.
Gigantic refrigerator/freezer, and plenty of dishes, pots and pans, etc. Gigantic washer/dryer. We bought K-cups, but there is no Keurig (that would be a good addition). The upstairs living room was fantastic, the ping pong table looked brand new, but there were only 2 ping pong paddles, one of which was falling apart, so hopefully those get replaced for the next guests. Beach towels were provided, which was convenient.
P.S. We missed 2 of the 5 rental days of our stay due to my son's ER hospitalization on our way to FL; not being able to pick up 1 of those days at the end of our stay when the house wasn't booked was our main disappointment. (Still giving 5 stars.)

Everything was great except the smell of fish throughout the kitchen and in the fridge. We bought a baking soda and candles however nothing worked . Master sink would not drain. Curtains were to small. Great location ! Private back yard lots of restraints and quick walk to the beach.

While the outside of the house looks a little rough, the inside was excellent. The location is great just two blocks from the beach, on a quiet street filled with nice homes. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and bars. Plenty of room for a family or multiple families.

This house was spotlessly clean + well maintained. The location was excellent -quiet street, easy walk to beach, shopping ,ice cream, restaurants. The pics don't even do the space justice. It's very spacious and beautifully decorated. The linens and pillows were amazing. I literally took off the pillowcase to get the brand and ordered some to be at our house when we got home. There is definitely NOT any issue with hot water, as older reviews mentioned. It's been corrected. We had 5 adults for a week and no one ever ran out of hot water. We had only 1 issue: The hot tub was not clean when we arrived. I was surprised by this because the house was spotless. I called, and they came to clean hot tub within 2 hours, cleaned it + adjusted the chemicals. They returned the next day to make sure the chemicals were just right. It was handled quickly and professionally. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great location with a quick walk to the beach. The house was perfect for our group with plenty of common areas and a large kitchen.

Very nice property. Very conveniently located. It was great that everything we really wanted was within walking distance. There was a snafu with the refrigerator that was corrected with no fuss. It was very easy to communicate with the owner. My wife insists next time we come to book this house. I agree!

We had 5 adults and 2 littles for our 4 night stay and the house was a little too big for our group but we loved the extra space and my father in law really loved the hot tub. I'm pretty sure he's going to buy one. My 3 yr old loved the ping pong table and my 10 month old loved being able to crawl literally everywhere throughout the house. The walk to the beach was short and convenient and it's close enough to walk to restaurants.
We did not have any big issues with the hot water as stated in other reviews so I think that's been addressed.
Overall we had a great stay and excellent family time! Thanks!

This home was EXACTLY what I was hoping it would be... A lovely spacious home with plenty of room for family. We wanted to be able to invite extended family living in the area over for meals and relaxing evening visits and this home fit the bill perfectly. The huge kitchen and ginormous island, can lights, beautiful decor and furniture made the visit feel so luxurious and relaxing! We also loved the outdoor fire pit. Thank you for making our visit one that we will forever have fond memories of!

Our family celebrated Christmas while staying here. the kitchen is huge which was great for all 14 of us to gather. There was enough seating between dining and patio table so that was nice. (the outdoor cushions were very dirty, so we had to bang the dirt off them before sitting). More utensils in the kitchen would have been helpful. little things like scissors, a lighter for the fire pit, decent wine screw, etc. The wine cooler did not work. the sound system did not work. the stove had an issue with knobs falling off and the oven not starting on the ignite point. we made do, but when paying almost a thousand a night (including all fees), when things don't work, it's a little disappointing. They responded to the call about the oven, nothing was done about it, and we managed to heat up dinners regardless. The beds were comfortable, plenty of towels in the bathrooms and lots of fun was had with the ping pong table. I did read where others complained about the hot water and thought I read it was resolved. It is not. we took ice cold showers all weekend. I think one of us got a 2 minute hot shower and then had to finish off with cold water. The outside lights in the back yard did not work but my son was able to fix them. lots of little things that add up mainly....
Overall, we truly enjoyed the time together, we can have fun in a shoebox. however, they have some work to do to get this house into the shape it needs to be for rental.

Very clean and spacious. The hot tub and backyard were great. Lots of close restaurants and shops. Easy walk to the beach. Plenty of towels and the kitchen is outstanding.

We are a group of 6 friends from all over who meet every couple years. This is a great home for relaxing, getting to the beach, and catching up! Great kitchen for cooking and meals - good sleeping, nice ping pong and hot tub. Had a great time! Would be even better if it was closer to JAX but loved being close to both the beach and St. Augustine. Thanks!

This house lives up to the pictures. Very spacious and clean. Kitchen had the basic necessities and the beds were super comfortable. Neighborhood was safe and we could walk to the beach. The rooftop deck was amazing for sunrise/sunset. The only thing (and it's a big one) that was negative was the hot water. It took 3-5 minutes to find a hot water setting on both showers and then once you found the magic setting you had hot water for 3-5 minutes. This is a big deal when trying to bathe a toddler. I would not return unless this issue was corrected, but if that was ironed out, I'd absolutely stay again.

We had such an amazing stay for fall break! Super close walk to the beach at an entry that was not crazy busy. Perfect mount of room for the 8 kids we brought! Property manager was amazing and even brought us a big pot I needed for dinner one night. Would definitely stay again!

We loved the location and space of this house. Beach was a short walk away and there was tons of room to hang out! Location was great for restaurants and St Augustine!

The house was tidy but the house wasn’t super clean. The floors we sandy and the house is lacking upkeep of the property. There was trash in the yard from the previous occupants. The oven knobs were covered in blue painters tape. We contacted them about it and the management company told us it was a mistake and we could remove the tape and use the oven. The oven gave us an error code a few times but eventually it worked. If you are planning on cooking, the kitchen isn’t well stocked good cooking utensils or baking pans. There is a blender, toaster, coffee maker and other small appliances. The wine cooler does not work. The large fridge and freezer was a nice plus. You can’t run the microwave and coffee maker at the same time. It will trip the breaker.
The biggest complaint from our group was the cold showers. The master shower would get hot… but the other showers stayed cold. I notice this complaint in previous reviews. It would be beneficial for this problem to be resolved.
The garage and parking area is large and you can park 4 cars in the driveway without any problem.
The location was great. I believe this home has great potential to be amazing… but it’s lacking the upkeep that’s needed due to the wear and tear of constant travelers and the salt in the air.

This property was beautiful and enjoyed by our family! It had tons and tons of space to fit whoever we needed, while also hosting a few of our ping pong tournaments! There were a few things that were broken/ not best condition. The first thing off the bat was the front door it really could have just been our family but we struggled and could not enter we tried to get in touch with the owners and never received a call back. 15 minutes later we finally figured it out. The garage door was also a bit of a struggle to open and close. The sliding glass door handle of the level floor was extremely loose and felt like it was about to fall off. The showers upstairs ran out of hot water after a while as well. We understand that this property was pet friendly but on most furniture and pillows we found lots of dog hair. The crows nest outlook on the top of the house is beautiful, but has no chairs or furniture to really sit and enjoy the view. The hot tub was wonderful as well. It did have a Bluetooth option on it but seemed that most of the speakers were broken or blown so all you could really hear was the bass of your music. We really did enjoy our stay with them other than the inconveniences! :)

The property was spacious, clean, lovely, and inviting with a beautiful home design and decor...beach vibe. The garage and driveway easily accommodated six vehicles of varying sizes. Check-in was so easy; all the info I needed was e-mailed to me. Beds and sleeper sofas were super comfy, though I would have preferred to sleep in the magestic Southern Live Oak in the backyard, and the children would have preferred perching on the lookout deck under the starry sky. The kitchen was amazing! All the pictures on VRBO represent the property accurately. It truly looks like a showcase property in a magazine. WiFi signal was strong. Each television was big with a great picture. We did have a minor hot water/plumbing issue that I did not report until after we were gone because I didn't want a plumber working in the middle of our family fun. Considering our host's attention to detail, I am confident that this plumbing issue has already been resolved. If I had this trip to do over, I would definitely choose to stay at this grand getaway again!

Perfect for all of us!
Very spacious, clean, huge kitchen, and everything worked out well with our grandchildren and their parents 🥰 Majority of home was renovated a few odds and ends still need to be done but that didn’t interfere with our stay!

We stayed the long weekend of 4th of July with two families including 5 kids ages 13-18.
The location is great...directly across from a great beach. Tons of restaurants and ice cream places in walking distance. We biked to dinner and also the Bridge of Lions to watch fireworks.
The house itself is lovely undergone a recent renovation. There was plenty of room for kids and adults, we played a lot of ping pong and used the hot tub most nites.
We had some minor inconveniences. The biggest issue was hot water in the showers. The master bathroom and other bathrooms did not have consistent hot water. We tried a number of hacks which worked sometimes but given the price, having the group not get a nice hot shower post long day was a little frustrating.
The propane ran out in the grill on our second nite so we had to do burgers in the frying pan so check that prior to starting the stay and some of the burners on the stove were out.
Last issue which was minor was no hair dryer in the house. We didn't bring ours bc the house listed it as havign one. Was a little annoying to leave for a nice dinner with wet hair but not the end of the world.
All in all we had a nice weekend.

Golden Mile Review
It wasn’t perfect but overall we still give 5 stars. You can tell time, money and effort have been put into the place. The kitchen is amazing and makes you want to hang out in there while having drinks or snacks, the living areas are a good size that can handle a good number of people, and while it would be nice to have more bedrooms; there are plenty of options for sleeping outside of the bedrooms. This gives you the option to have large groups without paying the much higher prices if 5+ bedroom houses.
The master bedroom shower held water a little bit, the water temp was spotty at times, and there were just a few things the cleaning crew missed. However, these were all very minor issues, and we rate this place a 5 start and would certainly return.
If you’re looking for a very nice house that is perfect for enjoying the house when you are not at the beach, had amazing outdoor areas, and is within a 5 minute walk of the beach without being overly priced… this is the spot.
