Nestled in Okaloosa Island, this charming condo for $361 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This luxurious condo is a Lanai Unit offering front access to parking and rear access to pool and Lazy River. It has flat screen HD TV's with Bluray players. Many extra appliances such as microwave, toaster oven, crock pot, and coffee maker (regular and Keurig). Multi-level rear patio with private hot tub and grill just feet away from the Lazy River. Not only one of the nicest units, but one of the most conveniently located units on the property. Once you have stayed in this Condo, you will never look anywhere else. Master Bedroom: King bed with new and comfy mattresses. Huge en suite bathroom with jacuzzi tub and large walk in shower. Guest Bedroom: Queen bed 2nd Guest Bedroom: Bunk Bed with full on bottom, twin on top and twin trundle. Brand new (2022) Sleeper sofa in living room with upgraded gel foam mattress. Pack n Play for families with littles is provided. Within walking distance of: John Beasley Park Okaloosa Island Boardwalk/Fishing Pier with a variety of shops and restaurants Gulfarium Live Marine Adventure Park Crab Island Excursions, Boat and Jet Ski rentals 20 minutes from VPS and 12 from DTS Airports ***This condo has a private hot tub that is optional for our guests. The fee to use the hot tub is $60 plus tax and will be added to the quote given by VRBO unless we are contacted to state not wanted.

We enjoyed our stay during “Fall Break”! The property was perfect for our family of 3 plus my mom! The space was perfect! I loved the balcony view of the Lazy river and it was great that there was a wagon and chairs for the beach. If you want to rent umbrella and chairs at the beach you better get there early for a front row. The only things that needed attention was the refrigerator door hits the cabinet when opening and there wasn’t a pizza cutter, but neither was a deal breaker. We would definitely choose this property again!!!

Experienced a little trouble with door code upon arrival that delayed our entry to unit by about 30 minutes. Code provided wasn’t working properly and was unable to reach owners. This was partly due to poor cell service on our end. Would recommend owners implement a system to confirm checkin for future guests. However unit very clean and exactly as described. Also a great location to the lazy river and the private hot tub was a nice addition they we utilized each day. Would highly recommend this unit!

Lazy river fun
We enjoyed our stay at the lazy river! The beach had a lot of seaweed at the time and the bay side was an awesome option for us! We’ve been staying at the Destin West for many years with our kids and it’s still their favorite place! We love watching sunrises and sunsets over the bay! We had a couple things happen with questions and the management was great!

Best Beach Getaway!
This was probably our best vacation ever! We have been guests at Destin West for about 8 years now. This was definitely our favorite condo. Booking was simple. Check in process was a breeze! Condo was ready early and very clean. Loved that our wrist bands were waiting in the room for us. Location was wonderful! My kids loved just running to the lazy river every afternoon from the patio while we grilled or just sat and watched them. Condo had everything we needed for the week as far as kitchen items. Love the decor! Beds were comfy. My guys loved the TV in the living room with the sound bar. Perfect for watching movies at night. It was the perfect week in a wonderful condo! Can’t wait to go back.

We enjoyed our week in this condo. We had everything we needed to cook several meals, grilled steaks one night. We had everything we needed for the beach, a wagon full of stuff. We had my 6 month old grandson and there was a very clean pack n play for him. There were 9 of us total and we had plenty of room! Beautiful view of the lazy River. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Can’t beat the location!

We arrived to the area around 3pm, and to our surprise, we received a text message saying that our unit was clean and available for an early check-in. We entered the early check-in code given to us via text and the unit was filthy, had several cleaners still inside, and was not close to being ready. We came back an hour and a half later and the condo was clean, but empty beer and coke cans were still left outside all around the patio/grill area and wet towels were left in the washer.
The condo location is great. It’s easy access to the beach with a pedestrian bridge and elevators. We loved the bay side with the lazy river, waterfall pool, and private dock to fish from in the evenings.

-Condo has the perfect location within the property
-Great for families with kids
-Large master bedroom and bathroom

-Dirty hot tub didn’t work
-Main sliding glass door not working properly
-Phone communication with property manager is lacking, hot tub and sliding glass door were never fixed during our stay
-Communication through VRBO to property manager is nonexistent.
-Beach is completely monopolized & crowded by La Dolce Vita chair/umbrella rental company. They make it impossible to bring your own beach chairs/canopy and find a spot to use them. Basically you are not allowed to use your own stuff on the Destin West property. You’ll have to walk down the beach to a different area.
Overall we enjoyed our vacation but were very disappointed about the hot tub and wasting vacation time to call every day with no results. The main reason we booked this property was for the private hot tub access on our deck. We spent a lot of time at the bayside pools which were clean and well kept, but the monopolized beach was disappointment.

The condo was roomy with cute decor. The resort is great with great access to private beach and the lazy river is the absolute best. We have stayed at this resort many times but this was the first time we stayed in this condo. I was slightly disappointed with a few things. First, right when we got to the condo we had to soak and clean the drawers in the fridge. There was baby formula or some type of milk that has leaked and was pooled in the bottom . The coffee pot carafe didn’t fit the machine and it didn’t latch at the top to make the coffee drop down. When we first used it, some of the coffee tried to drip and ended up covering the counter top. So to have the coffee drop, someone has to stand and literally hold the pot up against the top of the maker for it to work. We also didn’t like that the owner has the AC on a hold to where it couldn’t be set lower than 70 after 10 pm and lower than 72 during the day. Everything else was fine but I would suggest bringing your own knives, pans to cook with as the knives were not sharp enough to even cut a tomatoes and the pans weren’t great . The stove was tricky since all the markings have been wiped off over time. Overall the condo was nice and these little things would not be a deal breaker for returning however we have stayed at other condos and have had better experiences with these little things.

I've stayed at this resort before and this room was so much better than the other room along with the communication from the owner. I would highly recommend this condo. It was super convenient to be on the 1st floor so that we could walk right out of our room to the pool area. When you have young kids this is even more convenient. We will definitely be back and we plan to stay in this same condo.

I've stayed at this resort before and this room was so much better than the other room along with the communication from the owner. I would highly recommend this condo. It was super convenient to be on the 1st floor so that we could walk right out of our room to the pool area. When you have young kids this is even more convenient. We will definitely be back and we plan to stay in this same condo.

My family and my parents very much enjoyed our time at this condo. We came into town to visit my sister and her family bc they just had a baby. It was a perfect spot for us to gather while the kids and adults could enjoy the pools! I have teenagers and elementary aged kids and they all enjoyed the pools and beach. I loved that we could easily walk out to the pool right from the back door. We never felt crowded in the place and we had a total of 8 people sleeping here. I would recommend this listing and would come back for another trip. Thank you for everything!

“Destin”ation Vacation
My family and my parents very much enjoyed our time at this condo. We came into town to visit my sister and her family bc they just had a baby. Highly recommend this condo! So much space and room to move! With 9 people staying in the condo, we had plenty of sleeping area and places to sit. The balcony had so much space and the hot tub made it so nice with all the rain for the kids! We will be back!

The condo was great. We really try to get ground floor with having four kids. It seems to make traveling places a little easier. We also decided to stay at a place with our own hot tub and grill for easy access. Hot tub was great, grill was a let down. Only one burner worked and was barely useable. Put in a maintenance request and we were able to swap it out for a spare. The oven was an issue too. When trying to bake anything, it would lock, and completely turn off until cooled. Although the grill issue was handled, it was a let down to have to deal with these issues after spending a little more money to stay in a place with the extra amenities. The couch was lacking any pillows so feeding a baby or having kids lay down, they needed their bedroom pillows. The floors were VERY dirty. I wish I would have brought my mop. It left all our feet black after walking on it, especially in the bedrooms. This is our 4th time staying at Destin West and we absolutely love it there.

The lanai level room at this resort is the best. You look out into a tropical Oasis both day and night. Being steps from the best amenities is a huge perk and having a private hot tub was the icing on the cake.

No response. I emailed again assuming your resort was busy recovering from the storm and was told “we don’t do refunds for early departure”. I understand this, but the storm was expected to be severe and we would have been departing when the hurricane made landfall. I responded back further explaining my situation. No response. I then posted a review on google and received a response telling me that you do in fact provide refunds for natural disasters. I attempted to reach out once again through two avenues to see if I could receive a refund. Nothing. Needless to say, I’m incredibly furious with the lack of understanding and customer service I was given.
