Neat ….clean…kitchen efficient….comfortable beds! All appliances available:good dishwasher, washer/dryer , microwave…. We would recommend for a family of four or two couples/four friends. Larger numbers would be too crowded…

Perfect location - just across the street from a low-key and uncrowded beach with a private pathway over the dunes. Can view the ocean clearly from the balcony despite not being "on the beach". Plus this property is super clean, well stocked, and has good off-street parking. This is actually the second time we have stayed here for all of those reasons.

This was our first visit to Fernandina Beach but it won’t be our last. The beach is pristine — clean and not at all crowded. Having the private access walkway meant there was almost no one near us, which is exactly how we like it. Amy was the perfect host and we could tell she really wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Her home had everything we needed. She even left a personal handwritten note for us, a full bag of ice, full bars of soap, and plenty of paper products. Don’t worry about bringing your own beach chairs. Hers are like new and very nice. We could have saved trunk space! The outdoor shower was great for rinsing off after returning from the beach. And that balcony - perfect for napping, reading, making a phone call and definitely just watching the ocean. The couch and beds are also very comfortable, and the home was one of the cleanest I’ve ever rented. Absolutely a 5-star experience!!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location was perfect and we loved all of the things included with our stay (beach chairs, toys, puzzles, etc.). We also felt like this beach was perfect for our little family - not crowded and low tide makes the perfect tide pool on the beach for our toddler to sit and play. Amy was a wonderful and attentive host throughout our entire stay and we will definitely be staying again!

This property is probably the cleanest property we have stayed at. I’ve never stayed in a beach rental where there wasn’t a speck of sand upon arrival (until this place). The view from the balcony is great and the beach access is so nice (just be careful, my husband caught a cactus in the ankle one morning). We had a blast at the fire pit and playing ping pong in the evenings. The host called the day of arrival to be sure everything was good. We will definitely be staying here again. Two small things I would change that really weren’t even THAT big of a deal….a full length mirror somewhere in the house would have been great and I’m not sure if the hot water heater is shared between both units but the hot water didn’t last long at all. We had to cut showers to about 5 min. Overall we had an amazing vacation and can’t wait to go back next summer!

The family had a great first visit to Amelia. The upstairs portion of the house is very nice inside and has a balcony with a great view of the ocean. Host was very helpful and we had a stress free stay.

We love attending the annual Shrimp festival. We decided to stay the weekend and enjoy all the festivities. This property served us well and was very conveniently located to everything we wanted to do. Off of the beaten path just enough to be relaxing. Highly recommend and I’m sure we will stay again!

We stayed on 2nd floor of house with a spectacular ocean front view. We saw dolphins the mornings when ocean was calm. We loved the cover deck and having a sliding door in the bedroom. The host was very helpful to assist us in checking in and anything else we needed help with. The amenities available were extra nice. Definitely recommend!

This place did not disappoint! Very clean and beautifully decorated in a fun, beachy vibe. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Front porch was awesome for watching the waves. Beds were comfy and kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook a meal. I would stay here again.

This was one of the cleanest rental properties we have ever stayed in. It was also well stocked with all the kitchen items one would need. Being directly across the beach with a clear view of the ocean made it a plus. Traffic noise from the road was nominal and didn't bother us. Note that the private walkway to the beach has burrs that got stuck in our pup's fur, so we went two houses down to a more structured boardwalk after the first go. The beach was large and uncrowded and the nearby downtown area of Fernandina was excellent for restaurants, shopping, and nightlife.

This is an excellent house! It is well stocked and clean. Furniture and beds are comfortable. There is an unobstructed view of the beach and includes a private access path to the beach. The sunrises are beautiful. The owner is extremely responsive and helpful! I would definitely recommend this house.

We stayed in the upstairs apartment in this duplex. The apartment is sunny and airy, beautifully decorated, as shown in the pictures, and we loved being able to see and hear the waves from our rooms. We also enjoyed the private beach access to a quiet section of the beach. The apartment was spotless, like new, the bed comfortable, and Amy was a very helpful and responsive host.

My overall impression is that Ocean Cay was a nice place to get away from the real world. Morning - Sipping coffee (which was provided) while sitting on the deck watching the waves Mid-morning - Across the private access to the beautiful beach Lunch - Full kitchen and everything we needed to make a bite to eat Post-lunch - Off to one of the parks, the historic area, a boat tour, or whatever Dinner - Lots of great local places nearby to get seafood and a cold beverage Evenings - Back on the deck watching the waves Other stuff: - we really appreciate dog friendly places - the rental, the beach, most of the local patios, and even the boat tour. Our pup loved the beach experience! - we were a bit concerned about noise from the road, but found that there was actually very little. - as someone else suggested, we did take a fan because we like a little breeze when we sleep. - also as another review mentioned, parking toward the back was a little tight. The bottom unit was empty, so using the front would have been an option though. TLDR - I wish I could live like this. We'd definitely consider staying here again if we make another trip to the area!

The property listing is accurate. We got in during the winter storm and had issues with heater not working on the first night. Amy was very helpful and did everything she could to get immediate assistance on Christmas Day to get the issue fixed. The house had everything we needed for the stay, the beach was so peaceful and relaxing. Amy also shared some local restaurants which we enjoyed 😊👍

Amy is amazing Everything is accurate. Everything is perfect, I noticed there wasn’t any caviar, but that’s a good thing because I don’t like it. Lol. The property is within walking distance from one of my favorite places on earth ( insert bar name here ) Overall one of the best vacation rentals I’ve ever stayed in including ones I’ve been all over the world If there was a noble peace prize for Vrbo, Amy gets IT !!

Our rental was a great location on South Fletcher. This property was not directly on the water, but we had a wonderful view of the ocean, and easy access to the beach. Rental was clean, minimal responsibilities in clean up. We will certainly consider this rental again.

Ocean Kay was even better than advertised. Location was also a big advantage. I would suggest to let renters know, via the web site that bringing fans might be a good idea since no ceiling fans were there to create a breeze. With that said, we will rent this house again!

We spent a couple of days for our anniversary (wish we could have had more). The house was as described, very clean and comfortable. There is a great view of the sunrise from the porch as well as beach access, and it is close to area restaurants that we like to patronize. We plan to come back.
