Stay was good but was expecting a higher floor

Unhappy about building construction.Our deck had a painter on it and scaffolding present everyday. Unuseable due no privacy. Games room closed. Asst mgr said they weren't responsible and continued to deflect my concerns telling me to call Expedia. Not good!

Great location. East parking, friendly staff. The sofa bed is super uncomfortable. I saw that on another review. Very clean. Will stay here again for sure.

Great central location. Parking is very handy. Safe and clean facilities. All 3 BBQ's at common area are not working. Should be addressed.

Vi resorts at royal kuhio.Construction daily at7am on patio. Wouldnt check us in on first night forcing us to sleep at other hotel No refund. Left notice on door telling us departure date 3 days early. Hair in shower and around bathroom upon arrival. Clogged coil in ac hardly worked. Old furniture.poor customer service. Would not recommend. .

Everything here was so great! Convenient and we really liked the gated community and the parking included. The rooms were perfect size for family of 4. The corner units have the bathroom separate from the bedroom this works best with older children and privacy.

I loved how there was a kitchen and a balcony and accessibility to everything. And most especially the complimentary parking for our vehicle. Fantastic place!

Overall we had a good experience. Check in was smooth. Room and amenities were as expected. Sofa bed was not very comfortable. TV and Wi-Fi quality could have been better but was workable. Wish shampoo and conditioner available.

Our apartment was clean and well equipped. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is very bright and loud 24/7. The hotel is located in a very busy area.

The sofa bed is horrible , mattress is worn down and the metal springs dig into your body , needs a new mattress ASAP

I like that it feels safe because there is security guard 24 hours but I did not like that there's not much direction or communication where like to put throw out the trash.

It is a very nice place. Very secure, having to need a fob to open doors & security in the lobby. Free parking was the best. Plenty of parking spaces so we had no problems. The cable was great. Not like most hotels. The cons are no maid service AT ALL! You get one free coffee & $1 if you want more. When you check out is when they hang on the door, instructions before you leave. You have to throw away all the trash in the trash bin and the recycle in the recycle bin. You have to load the dish washer with the dishes you used. The bathroom. Is in the bedroom so if you travel with a couple, it is inconvenient to use the bathroom when they close the door. All in all, it’s a nice place but too many rules makes it hard to feel comfortable and relaxed.

I loved the location of the property the most. It is close to everything-restaurants, shopping, entertainment, etc. My room was clean and very spacious. The only concern that I had was the linen on the bed (sheets). I could tell that they had been washed; however, they had stains on them. No problem changing them out I would definitely stay there again when visiting Honolulu

I enjoyed staying at the Royal Kuhio and would definitely stay here again. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. The location worked so well. I was able to walk to the beach and shopping and restaurants in the area. The only issues I had was the construction. So there was some loud noise a couple of days and the hot tub was close and the billiards room was closed. Other than those small details everything was perfect.

It's not the Royal Hawaiian folks but for the money and location it was awesome. We felt safe and it was within walking distance of everything downtown. The room was clean and everything came in handy. The kitchen, bed and parking were a great plus. Yes the parking was included so just that alone saves hundreds of dollars to go to Dukes and get a great meal on the run. I will stay again when staying downtown.

The property was much nicer than expected. Ouf room appeared to have been recently renovated. Also, we had a beautiful city view with Diamond Head in the background, as well as ocean views from the balcony. We were not expecting a view from the room considering it was described as an “interior” room. I had anticipated some kind of interior courtyard view. The area pool was very nice and the size of the parking spaces in the parking structure are much larger than most spaces in the various Waikiki parking lots. We would definitely stay here again.

If you don’t have a car, it’s a simple 10 minute walk to town for all your shopping needs. The trolley bas stop was 5 mins away. The host left a variety of local gifts for us which was lovely. Because the apartment is on the ground floor and if you’re home during the day you will need a light on. But not a problem as you’L be out enjoying the beaches.

Over-all, my husband and I have been very satisfied. Our one-bedroom corner unit is spacious, clean and very comfortable plus it’s in the best location.

We stayed here for 14 nights, was a great location for us, handy for the shops, the beach, bus stop right outside. Such a great location. We loved that there was a pool and sun loungers available, we used these most days. A laundry room full of washing machines & dryers was useful as well. Security was on the desk all day / night.

Great location, but the building is undergoing massive repair work to the facade, and we had construction workers on our lanai chipping away concrete at 7:30 in the morning. Wish we’d had more info about this - would have booked elsewhere. The unit was more than adequate, although tested. Great to have parking.

Stayed here for 3 nights Positives: great location, friendly staff, safe, free parking Negatives: roaches and ants in room and in hallways (I guess this is a “norm” in Hawaii but we were still disappointed). We kept our food bin the fridge at all times but didn’t help. Building is dated and i didn’t rly mind. We were on floor 8 so maybe less bugs on higher floors?

Infested with roaches! Also ants. We found old french frys from the people before us under the coffey table. At first we saw one roach.... then many... nightly. We told front desk and we were told it's normal????

This is a nice central location. The check-in and parking was not difficult. The property is a little dated, but clean with plenty of linens. We did not use the pool.

Location great, room was great but they expect you empty the garbage. They only provide you with one set of beach towels for your stay and do not replace them even if dirty. The room is not cleaned until you check out as well. Information regarding the email for late check in did not provide any time lines for receipt. I received a call a few days before our stay advising an email will come. Nothing came so the day before I emailed VI resorts and it was only then that they told me the email will come the day of with the lock box codes etc. The other thing is with the late check in you only get a temporary pass that works till 12pm the following day. This was not explained and caused some stress as we had an excursion early the next day and would not be back before 12pm. Luckily someone was at the check in office before the set office hours and saw me peering through the window and she was so very nice and willing to help us complete the check in before her day started.
