Everything was really good. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The registration staff was super friendly and helpful. The waterpark was fun for the kids. The only complaint I had was the strong chlorine smell in the waterpark. It was so strong my husband and I both left with stinging eyes and a bit of a headache and we didn’t even get in the water.

It was okay for the most part. Didnt like the fact that our hotel keys were deactivated before check out time.

The bathroom in the room was very dark. They sent maintenance up and he said it's because the light fixture was old and stained. That was it. He ledtandwe took dark showers and dumps

The hotel and waterpark offer a great setting for family stays, but it would benefit from a thorough cleaning. The hallway carpets were stained, and the rooms lacked sufficient furniture for storage. Nonetheless, the service provided was excellent. A significant drawback was the challenge of finding available chairs at the waterpark.

My family and I came and stayed at Wilderness at the Smokies for Spring Break 2024. The first night we were able to take the kids down swimming for about an hour or so because the waterpark closed at 9 (didnt know this until we got down there). After that we wanted to take the elevator to the second floor where the shops and grills are located (my mom had a double knee replacement and can't take the steps). We all loaded into the elevator and pushed the button for the second floor. The elevator moved but when we got to the second floor the doors wouldn't open. My daughter who is 12 started freaking out. I then told my nephew to push the button to go back down to floor 1, the elevator again moved but the doors would not open. I then told my nephew to push the door open button. Thankfully the doors opened and we were able to get out. However, when I went to the desk in the waterpark and told them about this incident the gentleman rolled his eyes at me and acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. We then went back to our room and never did return to the waterpark because it closed early and we wanted to explore around Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. There were multiple times that the elevators had an out of order sign on the doors and it was sometimes difficult to catch an elevator to even get down to the main floor. For the price of the rooms, the definitely did not meet expectations.
Also, if you are over weight don't plan on using the waterslides bc they weight you.

I was a little disappointed in our stay at Wilderness at Smokies Stone Hill Lodge. First, the main lobby hallway (3rd floor) smelled like baby diapers filled with feces, as we walked to get to the elevator. Second, the hotel room was smaller than expected, and the bathroom was even smaller. Literally, only one person at a time could fit in the bathroom. The toilet paper holder continuously came off the wall. Also, we asked for a patio/balcony room.
The screen to the patio would not lock, and it appeared to be slightly off track. Third, the only water park that was open was the indoor Wild Water Dome, and I was looking forward to my teenage daughters being able to experience all of the water parks. Last, we ran out of toilet paper and called guest services. After 10 minutes of not receiving the toilet paper, we called a second time asking if we should come get the toilet paper. The guest service personnel told us we just have to wait for it to be brought up. Since I needed to use the restroom, I went to the front desk, and they immediately gave me toilet paper. About 30 minutes later guest services was knocking on the door with toilet paper. For the price we were charged, I definitely think an upgrade of the rooms and carpet is necessary. The one good thing I can say is our floor was very quiet, and we were able to rest well after being out and about all day. I'm not convinced that my family and I will visit again.

The indoor waterpark and other amenities were great. The room was a bit smaller than expected, and the pull out sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable.

My only real complaint is that the bathroom is tiny and dark. Complete tight quarters and there wasn’t a good light in the bathroom. Hotel is definitely older and some stuff is outdated however it is super clean. The waterpark was supposedly warmed to 84 degrees. However it was cold. I did complain and was told that maintenance would be notified. However it was still cold the next day. The lazy river was warm thank goodness.

We thoroughly enjoyed spring break here! The location was great and every hotel building had things to do in it. Its very close to the strip where there's tons of stuff to do as well. The wave pool and lazy river were our favorite and we enjoyed an arcade night with laser tag. Our room was very clean and house keeping did a great job bringing fresh towels and linens. We are already planning to return for fall break or next years spring break.

Check in was fairly uneventful everyone was nice. The room was located all the way in the back. When we got to the room it was very combact. Bathroom very small only had 1 light with Fan in it. Light wasn't bright. Room light was also awful not bright either. The shower had an empty shampoo bottle.on the top and the drawer had starbursts from who knows when. Also a child toy under the bed from a baby we had teens.

The staff was great. Checkin took a while they need more people at the check in desk at check in time.
We stayed on 3rd floor and it sounded like people were running laps above us. We called front desk and they said quiet room time was 11 pm. That’s really late when you’re trying to get a toddler to sleep.
The shuttles and staff were kind and friendly as well as any restaurant staff we talked.
For the cost of the stay there I would think they would upgrade the carpet/floors. It looks worn and dated. But I do know this is not a brand new resort.

The water park was amazing. The room was pretty bad. We had to walk what felt like a mile to find an elevator that went to our floor(?), the lighting in the room was terrible and the bathroom was genuinely rough. The light and fan were on one switch. The fan sounded like a plane crashing and the light flickered multiple times before it would switch on. Every time. So needing to use the bathroom in the middle of the night scared my children. We were also woken multiple times by people walking on the floor above us. I understand hotels can’t control the noise level of other patrons but this was abnormally loud.

Wilderness has just added an indoor lazy river, new rides and expanded their hot tub. Amazing place that is extremely clean. Saw employees cleaning, keeping the floors squeeged multiple times during our 6-hour visit.

Dollywood Christmas getaway with family. Room clean and welcoming. Pool area offers something for everyone. Only thing worth mentioning for future plans, my room was located on the hill and required driving up pool due to weather. Probably won’t try again in the winter but summer months as their is an outdoor pool area near the room we were located.

Overrated for the price, main concern was the indoor water park wasn’t ventilated at all as soon as I walked in my eyes immediately started burning, kids was throwing up, my daughters eyes burned so much she started crying. They to open up the doors just to get air flowing. Definitely not good for anyone’s lungs. Bathrooms was extremely small I had to step out just to get dressed. Needless to say that was our first and last trip to wilderness at the Smokies

The indoor water park was great. Thankfully the bedroom and the bathroom were clean. No visible chips or scratches anywhere. Good view! Very helpful front desk workers. The pizza we ordered for room service was probably one of the best pizzas I've had. The only negatives I have to say are that our hallway had the faint smell of marijuana the whole time we were there, and the walls were so thin between the bedrooms. I could hear the people in the next room whispering.

Although my stay was satisfactory, I booked through a third party and was placed in Stone Crest. Unfortunately, Stone Crest is located across the road from the water park, which is quite inconvenient. Moreover, the restaurant at Stone Crest closes early, which was a bit frustrating. I suggest that you keep this in mind before booking your stay.

beautiful place, comfortable. Cleaning crew need to do better. There was no shampoo or coditioner and you could tell counters were not wiped down

We came here for our honeymoon and we loved it! Would definitely stay again!

We didn’t like having to carry around our ID for adults to get an alcohol beverage. I think when you check in you should get a separate wristband to show you are old enough to drinks. No one wants to carry their ID around at a water park.

It’s always fun staying here. Clean rooms and great front desk service. The new addition to the water park is amazing!!

Word of caution. If you have young children and it is winter time do not stay here. Stay at river lodge. Pay the extra money.
We went for a couples trip so it was just adults. Shuttling back and forth was not a big deal to us. It would have been if we brought our children.
The arcade was wonderful and we had a blast.
Indoor water park is clean and warm. Wait times for rides were actually pretty decent. The lazy river is wonderful but I do wish they had an age limit on it or they enforced a rule of behaving in there. There were quite a few kids and teenagers that were obnoxious and rude.
Food was okay. Some of it wasn’t open. We ate at the burger bar. Overall it wasn’t my favorite.
It was clean and worth it for a quick romanic birthday get away.

We stay pretty often at the Wilderness and typically don’t have any issues but during this stay was a little different. We didn’t arrive until approximately 5 or 6 am due to the weather and someone sliding into our car.
Thankfully they still allowed us to check in.
We were all exhausted and were looking forward to a day at the water park in the morning but as we woke up my children were crying and panicking, scratching all over. They threw their clothes off to see what was making them so Itchy, ALL of my children were eaten up with bug bites. We had to spend the first half of our day looking for some kind of cream
To help relieve their itching.
When we informed the hotel staff they stated that the kind of room we had was very limited.
We ended up all sleeping in one bed hoping we wouldn’t get bit.
We are currently having to treat all of our stuff as we continued getting bit.
We usually love the Wilderness but this trip has definitely caused some concerns on if we will ever be coming back

Overall a very good experience. One of our blankets had a dried dark red substance on it. Also hot water was Luke warm at best. But the staff was very friendly and we really enjoyed our trip. I would recommend.

I came to relax in hot tub but c

It was great! Room was spacious, it was stocked with everything you’d need to cook. They left us so many clean towels too.
Only issues I found was that there was not enough light.. they only have the bare minimum, shower was dark. One of the toilets rocked and the thermostat was on 76 when we got there!
Waterpark was really crowded when we went (Saturday), but it was really cool and we look forward to coming during the week. Use the trolley, because there’s not much parking at the waterpark.

I was dissatisfied with the staff. Because my girlfriend fell outside on a patch of ice and they told her that was city property and they did not have the number for the City. They did not seem real concerned about how she was doing.

Let me start by saying my Grandson had an amazing time. He loved all the games and the water park. While the rest of us enjoyed the water park we were not happy with the temperature of the indoor water park water. It was 30 degrees outside and the water inside the park was way too cold. No one in our group could get in the wave pool because the water was too cold (even for the 5 year old). Hot tub was amazing. Staff was super friendly. Food was average but there were plenty of restaurants close by. We will return but probably in the summer where we can enjoy all the outside pools.
