The coastal suites were centrally located to where we wanted to visit and hike. We enjoyed our stay.

The suite was amazing! The host put a lot of attention and thought about what the guests will need, providing many amenities accompanying the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. I also found the entire place very clean. I would absolutely love to come back.

Very clean and warm. Easy check in and check out. Helpful staff.

I like the room we had. It was a little smaller than a standard hotel room and had a refrigerator and microwave. Since it was off season in a small resort town, there was no staff on site. Easy walking distance access to Crystal Lake and stores and restaurants in Beula, MI

hot water would have been nice for a shower in the morning...

Everything was very good thank you!

Slight musty odor in room

Convenient location for those wanting to be close to Crystal Lake and the Betsy trail. Quick drive to Frankfort as well. The unit was clean and provided everything you needed. We could hear conversations of people in the unit next to us. The units are a bit older but certainly have character and charm.

Clean and quiet. Very cute too

Definitely would recommend! So nicely decorated and clean- you felt like you were staying at someone's house, not a hotel room. Well done!

Lovely location 2 minute walk from crystal lake, several excellent dining options and only 12 minute deive to crystal mountain if skiing's your thing.

Good location. Close to bike trail and lake. Room was clean. Breakfast was adequate.

Our room was very cute and clean. Property was nice and looks like owners have been updating. Easy parking. Convenient location for our fishing trip. Some updates were a little cheaply done and starting to deteriorate, needs a little TLC. Tub was chipping, faucet was deteriorated, paint in bathroom peeling. overall good stay for what we we needed,

The property was great and clean.

When we entered the room a strong odor of mold was present.
The bathroom had spiders in the corners and mold on the ceiling, window sil in the shower area and around the tub.
This is a serious problem that needs addressed by the property owner. The A/C really didn't work to remove the dampness of the room. My husband and I both woke up with stuffy noses and headaches. We had to be in town for a wedding and were limited on options to stay without minimum stays. We didn't have time to try to find another place to stay. The photo's of the rooms are not what you get . Bathroom was the tiniest I have ever seen. If I had paid a motel rate, which is what I feel this was, I would have had a different expectation. But we paid a premium price for the room and it did not meet expectations.

Would have been nice if the room included a chair to sit on. Can't remember the last time I stayed at a hotel that did not provide a tissue box. Instructions should have explained that there are multiple buildings on both sides of the parking lot. Also there was no instruction on how to use the lock box. I never found anyone sitting in the office during my stay.

Our stay was very nice! The only thing I would say is that the bed could have been a bit more comfortable and the room was very musty smelling until I aired it out and got use to it. Overall very nice!

Clean and cute decor. For a suite, a table and two chairs need to be included versus a mini couch at the foot of the bed.
TV couldn’t connect to the internet.
Bathroom and amenities were nice.
Check in staff was super friendly…but no one was around when coffee maker in general breakfast area wasn’t working.

Cute property. Easiest check-in ever! Great management!

Mattress was very worn and needs replacement. very uncomfortable.
AC has mildew and requires complete cleaning and sanitization.
Shower handle is very stiff and needs repair.
Lower wall next to tub showing signs of paint peal and water damage

We stayed in room 10. The room has some fresh decor and fresh paint. The bathroom door does not close., the edge of door needs shaved off. There are no chairs or anywhere to sit in the room.(but there is room for chairs.) the manager was very kind to find some old comfortable chairs in the storage room., and give some comfortable folding chairs on the balcony or eating breakfast . There are some tiny wooden children’s chairs outdoors and Adirondack chairs that tilt back outdoors. After a long day of biking, and no back support., it was nice to have the comfort of the old chairs from the storage room. Microwave is on a shelf 1 inch off the floor. In order to operate the microwave, I had to to get down on hands and knees and tilted sideways against the floor. It would be easy to put shelving there such as you have in the breakfast area, so that the microwave can be on a higher shelf. The bed was comfortable.

Very clean and modern rooms. Decorated very nicely with a nautical theme. Bathroom was very small and tight. could've used a roll of paper towel in kitchen area, and another luggage stand in bedroom,
.All in all, a nice place to stay, convenient to everything.

Updated, older property, no frills, everything worked. Double beds, adequate for our needs.

Beautiful little boutique hotel next to beautiful Crystal lake! Kids really enjoyed our loft room, we all enjoyed continental breakfast! Kayaked Platte River and visited Sleeping Bear Dunes!

Everything was great except, the couch in #3 is REALLY rough! Everything else was fantastic.

Nice and clean except the ceiling in the bathroom had cobwebs and trapped insects. Apparently, the cleaner doesn't look up.
Strong smell of deodorizer. Hope you aren't allergic to perfume like smells.
Less than half a roll of toilet paper and no back rolls anywhere.
No office people were present during the entire stay and texts went unanswered.
Nice bed and good air conditioning but for this price this place should have been a lot better.

When we arrived the smell of the cleaner was overwhelming. Had to open the window to try tin the room o get rid of the smell. It was very humid even with the AC running. So much so that it felt like our sheets and clothing were damp. TV didn't work.

nice place to stay and explore the area

It appears newly remodeled and the suites are super cute. It’s nice that the beds are in separate rooms from the living space. It was easy to check-in without having to go to the desk. It’s a lovely area that’s walkable and has great views of the lake.

Staff was very responsive to texts-not on site. Not many choices in this area so, it served its function. Stayed in room 7- needs new beds/mattresses. If the bed would have been comfortable, we would stay here if we had to stay in the area. Meh

No on site staff. TV had no signal. Awful breakfast. If the price were adjusted it would reflect a better review. One thing is that they do answer your text message immediate Probably won't stay here again.

I enjoyed the quietness, and the surrounding atmosphere.

Pictures on website are completely inaccurate for what you would expect when you arrive. The room was filthy. Looked as though floors hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. Stains on couch. Room had awful smell. No one works in office. Extremely limited food for breakfast - do not expect a “continental breakfast”. Look elsewhere for a stay in this area. This place is gross!

Good value for the season and close to beach & restaurants.

This was a cute property! So clean and creative decor. You need to call someone to check in but they are very responsive and kind! Good light breakfast choices. Again, very clean!! I would definitely stay there again.

Enjoyed the property. I wouldn’t count the double bed in the suite as a bed. It was a futon and very uncomfortable.

We arrived later in the day and Check in was super easy, a lockbox next to the door with a code they texted me earlier in the day. Fastest hotel check in possible!
Unfortunately, the picture showing the lakefront view is HIGHLY MISLEADING. The hotel is not lake front, but instead across the street with 2 cottages in the way. I guess technically if you stand in the perfect spot on the parking lot you can see between the two cottages and see the lake. Not what we were expecting…
The room had an overpowering “fake clean” smell. Opened the window to get rid of it, but somehow came back ~1 hour after closing the window.
Beds were very uncomfortable and didn’t sleep well.
When getting breakfast in the morning, a fellow guest was trying to find a staff member (we did not see a single staff in our ~12 hours on site). I guess his room had water leaking up through the floor or something. He was not happy.
I have stayed over 200 nights with hotels.com and have never given a negative review before.
At the time of this review, the hotel had a 9.0 rating. We paid ~$280 for a Friday night in July, and I was shocked at the condition and offering of the hotel.
Beulah is a great little town in Northern Michigan. Loved everything except the room!
