There is no front desk so I cannot comment how helpful the staff is. If you are looking to stay in a 5 star hotel, this is not for you. This hotel provides you with the basic needs: bed with clean sheets and clean bathroom. The room was a decent size but had a strange layout. The bathroom was tiny but fine for a single traveler. The hotel is near the bottom of a hill. The taxis will drop you at the top of the hill as the street does not go through and it is difficult to back up the street. Not a big deal unless you have a lot of / or heavy luggage.
Would I stay here again, yes as I need very little from the hotel or it's staff.
Should you stay here? If you need assistance with anything, probably not.

Great location. Rooms were spacious and guest kitchen was useful. There were no actual staff to help troubleshoot. Relies on virtual assistants. Unfortunately with all the granite and narrow alleys in Porto, phone reception isn’t great so that’s an issue. WiFi available once you manage to get in the building but that wasn’t great either and had weak security. I would prefer a human host.
