This hotel has seen better days. Wyndham should be embarrassed to slap it's name on this place. The beds are terrible (I'm writing this at 2am. I can't sleep), the room is loud and has a weird smell. This place is best reserved as a last resort for summer road trips but use a sleeping bag. Gross!!

Underwhelming. Know it was last minute but for $150/night, I thought it would have a newer mattress sides leaned into the middle and same for the sofa. Very dated hotel in case that was an issue for any one reading.

The staff were very jovile and they do a great job managing the property.

It was convenient but I was nauseated by the Fox News on the check-in lobby TV, the bloviating, self righteous nonsense they were spouting, and the manager's rapt attention to it. Really depressing.

Great service at the front desk.

Good for a night stay. Staff was super friendly. Motel is definitely out dated . Husband said he looked under the bed and it was pretty gross and didnt look like anyone had cleaned under there in a long time. Husband and I both woke up with aches and pains from the bed but it was bearable for a night stay

The room we stayed in was on the first floor and close to the parking lot.
There was mold in the bathroom. The fan in the bathroom was rusty and filled with dust. Through the vent in the bathroom we could hear voices and we heard someone peeing through the vent in the bathroom. Breakfast consisted of coffee or juice and a granola bar. Under the bed there was stuffing from the mattress. Mice? Yuck!!! Also poorly decorated.

The overall stay was OK very basic. It was clean, but this place could definitely use some updating especially in the rooms. This hotel is located in a very touristy area and the night we stayed they were completely booked. Yes it’s comfortable, but Days Inn could definitely afford to make some updates.

My boyfriend and I traveled from Virginia Beach to celebrate my birthday at Luray Caverns. It was convenient that the Days Inn was just a couple of minutes away. However, check in took 20 minutes and there was only one person in front of us checking in, but 2 ladies behind the counter using only one computer. The room smelled old and there were 2 dead bugs on the floor, one in the bathroom and one next to the jet tub. The next day, our checkout day, we both had to take cold showers. We were told afterwards that the whole hotel had no hot water! I asked for a discount and was told I'd have to call the manager, Mary, the next day. I did, and she was very pleasant and did put some money back on my credit card. Even after the discount, though, that hotel was not worth $150 a night. It's just very old. The bed was not comfortable and the carpet looked like it needed replacing. I'll end on a good note and say that we did both enjoy the jet tub. That was the best part.

This is an older hotel so there is no elevator. I didn't realize and I have a leg injury but was put on second floor and was told I couldn't change the floor. In the morning I could not take a hot shower because I could not get the hot water to work.

Toilet chain was tied in a knot so it wouldn't flush properly. Refrigerator made a constant ticking noise all night. Shower handle was not attached to the valve. No hot water in the morning and the front desk had the nerve to say that this was normal because everyone was using the hot water at the same time!

There were dozens of bugs crawling around the floor. The staff were unwelcoming and made rude comments. I wouldnt recommend staying here ever. There was nothing i liked about the property.

This place is TRASH! Trust me you do not want to stay here. All the rooms smell like cigarettes, they are filthy dirty with an inch of dust, and the sheets have dried blood or feces on them. Didn’t even stay the night because of how gross the place was. No way I was sleeping in that dump. Management does not care and they will not refund your money. Poor ownership and management. A little update and cleanliness goes a long way but this place does not care. I should have read the reviews before booking.

The WiFi connection was not consistent and strong enough to sustain a Zoom link. There's a hole beneath the door frame of the bathroom that needs repair. Hazardous: there is nothing on the bafthroom wall to hold onto to get into or out from the shower. No towel rack, nothing!

The staff was very pleasant. We liked it so much we booked it back on our way home a week later.

I hate to give a bad review however the surrounding area of Luray is gorgeous. The DaysInn was dirty, We checked in late so i don't know if this is normal but the front desk man was asleep and it took me forever to wake him. the room was dirty with bugs, the decor was odd including a shagadelic armchair. the bathroom was not good either. Please spend a little more and find a clean hotel in the area.

The room was run down. smelled entirely of smoke. The refrigerator was not working but came on like it was functional. it was all that we could find in the area.
they asked for a $50 security. when i went in the morning to verify the room was as we received it, they told me yes, showed me a receipt for refund- when i checked my account 6 days later the money was still not returned and it seems like they kept the security anyway even though i was told there were not damages to the room.
Either way be warned. it will likely be an unpleasant experience.

When I checked in a Midnight on Friday Sept 1, 2023 I got the only downstairs unit that was left(unit 102). I immediately used the bathroom and found 4 live cockroaches in the bathroom which I killed. Seeing no more I went to bed and reported it the next morning and the day clerk said they knew they had a "bug" problem and they sprayed regularly but there was nothing she could about it. Since it was "labor day weekend" there was nothing I could do but stay there since everything was booked as it was a resort area. I would like to hear from the owner and a refund on my money since my wife couldn't sleep or use the bathroom. DON'T STAY THERE!!!

This was a one night trip I have stayed there years ago there were some upgrades, but the property is not well taken care of attention to cleaning should be prioritized

The stay was great. The only thing we had a problem with was the strong bleach smell when you walked into the room. Don’t get me wrong, I am extremely happy the room was clean, but the bleach smell was really strong.

I’ve stayed here two years in a row and been pleased both times. It is a very quick and easy drive to Luray Caverns from here. It’s always clean and I feel safe traveling with my young daughter and dog.

I usually do not write negative reviews and usually find a silver lining in every situation but I want to warn others of this place. I paid a premium for a room with jetted tub during my trip to Luray caverns and was extremely disappointed. I should have listened to the reviewer that said they had to sleep in their car because this place was terrible. First, the jetted tub did not work and was very dirty. I called the front desk and the attendant said he will have maintenance check it out in the "morning"; I expected him to give me a new room with a working jetted tub but that didn't happen. Second, there was a dead bug on the bed which makes sense because there was a fly squatter in the room. Third, this hotel is outdated and costs more than it should; it reminds me of a brothel from 80s movie. I initially planned to stay for 2 nights but cancelled the second night and found a place down the road. Never staying here again, this was an expensive lesson.

Service and staff were friendly and very helpful. Linens and towels were clean and good quality. Major problem is the worn-out condition of the property, furniture, carpets. Years of grime worn into carpets and upholstered chairs, which was probably responsible for the musty disgusting smell. Holes in wall of bathroom. Rust on tub and even on room lamps. Way overpriced for almost no quality. Wouldn’t stay here again.

It was a nice stay close to the places that I wanted to visit.

Check-in was quick, and the woman who assisted me was very sweet, and made great restaurant recommendations

Pool was nice. Room was adequate. Website advertised "breakfast included" but it consisted of a granola bar. Very disappointing. There are no restaurants nearby.

The room was disgusting! I understand that at this price point furniture may be dated or the place may not be modern but this was a health hazard.
Mold, filth and cigarette burns.
As soon as I opened the door the smell of cigarettes was awful, I went to look at the sheets and those looked washed.
The bathroom has not been upgraded since this place was built and has not been deep cleaned in years.
The door trim composed of different pieces with the bottom portion missing from termites or water damage.
I have asthma and my symptoms kicked in quick!
The sink and tub had cigarette marks, the tiles were filthy and some pieces were different color, the floor tile was 70’s maybe early 80’s with Irvine stains around and behind the toilet. Selling has severe water damage and the stucco is peeling.
Poor exposed electric wiring on the ceiling, no smoke alarms at all. The light fixtures were rusted and the AC unit had peeling paint.
It was past midnight so my choice was to sleep in the car or in this smelly room.
I slept in my clothes disgusted to touch anything. Got up earlier than I initially planned to, brushed my teeth and got in the road. My wheezing was so bad, I am still recovering from the mold and smoke in the room. I stayed on the road and showered at home. This place should be shut down by DaysInn or the VA Health Department.
I don’t understand how they are able to stay open.

A great place to stay if you plan on visiting the Shenandoah or the nature nearby. The staff was amazing, the only thing wrong I found wrong in my room were a few little bugs here and there and the breakfast is limited. The bathroom was great and the beds were pretty comfortable. Overall a solid 8.5/10

The elderly man who work at front desk seems like he hate us coming to check in because he was smoking outside infront the main office door, (check cameras). With a bad actitud asked “you have a reservation, name” very rude, not welcoming! Cleanliness is very bad, room has a strong smell of moldy carpet. There’s a lot but a LOT roaches inside the room and when we were coming back at night from Shenandoah National Park, right infront of the our room door there were like 15 or so of roaches. It was late we just wanted to sleep. This was our first time staying at Days Inn Wyndham Luray Shenandoah, and it will be THE LAST TIME. It was disgusting! NOT GOOD for family with kids, Stay at your own risk!
