We stay here all the time when we have to come to birmingham for doctor's appointments.. This past time was for a concert we've always had a great experience there.

Hotel was generally clean and quiet but we did not get the room we reserved, the toilet would not flush, and the water temperature was extremely difficult to control. We used Expedia to book a suite with a jetted tub (my wife had fallen recently and she was looking forward to the jets providing some relief from her aches and pains). Sheff we arrived after a long day of traveling, we were informed that the suite were all full. The receptionists initially stated that the 3rd party sites (Expedia) are not always 'up to date' on what is available but later changed her story when trying to get me to sign up for the IHG rewards plan. She told me that rewards members have priority becoming a member might prevent me from getting bumped again. If we were not so tired, I would have walked out right then and there. We were given a standard room and comped breakfast each day and 1 free drink for each of us. (We used the free breakfast on the 2nd day, before checking out, but never went to the bar). Once in the room, I used the restroom, then my wife. Worked fine for me, but when my wife tried to flush, it did not work. After a brief troubleshooting, we realized that the tank was just refilling VERY slowly, and we were able to flush again in about 30 minutes. Since we were in town to visit family, and did not spend much time in the room, there was not much effect, just annoying. Although not enough to warrant finding another hotel right away, we will never return.

This location is on a strip, close enough to shopping and fine dining, yet, just far enough for quiet and comfort. The staff is courteous and accommodating enough to greet you, make small talk, but not over the top and loud.

I really like the whole experience. The young man checked me in is phenomenal.Jay needs a raise and promotion! Definitely went over and beyond. But, all of the staff there was wonderful. The restaurant connected was incredible! The room was great as well, but the jacuzzi tub didn't seem like it was cleaned thoroughly. But everything else was perfect

Carpet was very dirty with dirty spots all over. Could not get hot water out of the sink tap. Rest was fine.

Overall, great stay. There was a small fire on the 4th floor (my room was on the 2nd floor). The fire alarm was activated and everyone evacuated timely. We were able to return to our rooms after about an hour and a half outside.

the rates were high for this weekend but i decided to book b/c i normally get good experience at this hotel brand. this hotel is under complete renovation. the lobby is in shambles and the rooms are still outdated. im not saying they should close during renovation but they should certainly reduce rates and advertise the condition of the hotel

Came in to the inside of this hotel completely torn apart. Said they were renovating. Paint smell-construction going on -we were not made aware that this would be happening! We should get a refund.

The hotel was being renovated. Furniture and fixtures had very recently been delivered and were piled up in the lobby with the packing plastic still on it. The front desk was set up down the side foyer on an 8ft folding table. The bar was a 6 ft folding table with a tablecloth. Understandable that this is all temporary, but detracts from the overall experience. However, the employees were super nice and made up for the environment. Good luck with the project!

When booking the trip through Expedia, I had several lodging options within the area. The hotel I chose was making renovations to the property, but this was not made j own to me when selecting this property over others. Had I been made aware of these conditions, I would have chosen a different hotel. The laundry room for guests to use was not in service. This was an issue for us that caused us to change plans. The lobby was under construction. Not exaggerating when I say the next morning when we left the hotel for the day we walked through a dust cloud that filled the entire lobby. I took a quick glance at the “dining area” and decided we would not be eating/drinking anything from there due to the renovations. Worst was the air conditioning in our room. The AC simply wouldn’t get cool enough no matter how low the setting. Again, there were plenty of other options to choose from. Disappointed that this property was even an option.

Our carpet was soaking wet. The whole second floor carpet had been cleaned that day. The facilities are under some sort of remodel. The breakfast was great and the servers were very helpful. I tried to call for a late checkout and the only way they would answer the phone is if I said reservation when they answered then when I said late checkout I was put on hold and they wouldn't answer. Bad business practice.

While property seems new and has potential.. the service and cleanliness left plenty to be desired. First on arrival the staff alerts me that carpets on my floor have just been washed .. and I mean just washed as in still damp/wet .. they also stated that was only option to stay in as they where sold out. Further they had their gym closed for repairs but had some sort of dining set up in the area . Again they have potential but need better planning/managing to such things . Thankfully it was a stay that didn’t require being @ the hotel much but for just sleep .. but imagine telling your paying customers that the room is wet and there’s no alternative.. shameful really

Booked multiple double queen rooms and multiple rooms were changed to a single king. Check in lady wasn’t helpful but was nice and said they were at capacity. Lady that handled check out was rude and blamed the booking site for the room changes. She acted like it was bothering her to do her job and refused to give me a receipt for the rooms that were booked through a 3rd party site. Be careful booking this hotel on a booking site or you may not get what you expect.

Everything but the carpet was clean. Hotels don’t seem to clean the carpet at all, just vacuum, so they are almost always stained and dirty.

Hotel is undergoing renovations so no exercise area. Had we known we would have stayed elsewhere as after driving exercise is a necessity! The email confirmation indicates breakfast is included but for an additional $10 per person. The design of the rooms was really unfortunate. The closet, entry and bathroom door are in a triangle and hit one another. The toilet is very low (so we got some squats in) and the toilet seat is cheap and faulty. Carpet has stains in the halls and rooms that could use a good cleaning. We had 1/2 a roll of TP for 2 people for 3 days. I asked for another roll and was told they are low on TP. I had to be very communicative to get that extra roll. It was just bizarre.
