Front desk very unfriendly..especially the evening man, acted like he didn't want to be there. The woman who ran the breakfast was the nicest, polite and what a hard worker. She was so friendly...rest of help could care less

We had appointments at the Mayo Clinic do needed to check in early and they made that happen so that was great . Only draw back was ice machines weren’t working on any of the floors ! Front desk person said they would go get some but when we went back at 7 we stopped and asked snd Ge said they didn’t have any !

I have stayed here before. Room was clean and comfortable but not sure if they have no help or sold out to someone else. No ice machines working and not much to choose for breakfast this time. I talked to another customer and he said too it had gone down and was not going to stay there again. Sad to see they might be having financial issues or just no staff.

The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. I literally called 14 times the morning of my check in to see if I could get a late check out, was answered and hung up on 4 times, the other 10 was NO answer. This place is trash!!!!!

Too much chlorine in pool bothered everyones eyes. Found trash under the beds that wasnt ours. Furnace was too hot and couldn't shut it off. And got charges an extra 175 I'm still trying to get refunded..

No soap. That was just the beginning. One out of many jets in the spa worked. Desk chair had stuff on it that is difficult to classify but was not good. Microwave was dirty. Vending machine on our floor didn’t work. Could go on but no point.

Beds are very uncomfortable, no smoking signs everywhere but yet the whole building smells of smoke and marijuana, there is absolutely nothing in the marketplace shelves are completely empty. There is NO shuttle to the Mayo which is odd since every other place has a shuttle. The guy at the front desk was very rude, when we walked in he wouldn’t even stand up to greet us just sat in a chair with his phone, weirdest check in I have ever had experienced. The one positive was the lady in the breakfast area was very kind and went above and beyond making us feel welcomed and was very helpful.

Awful weed smell no heat so the guy did move us rooms sheets were dirty in first room and in second the ceiling was gross/ dirty .

Never have I ever stayed in a hotel with so many issues. First, my family and I were given the wrong room. We were placed in a one-bed room when we specifically booked two queen beds. We were moved to a new room, but the thermostat did not work. We ended up with a third room in one night! No apologies from the front desk associate, except for a “My bad” response. Really?! How unprofessional!!!
Aside from moving from room to room, we were awoken by dogs barking in the middle of the night! Walls are thin so you can hear lots of noises and chattering coming from the hallways.
The next day while we were in our room, another family tried to enter our room! They were given the same room key access as ours!!!! Frustrated, I called the front desk to let them know about the situation and the response I received was, “My bad,” once again! I was very unhappy and requested to speak to management. Of course, no manager was on duty, but I did receive a contact number to reach out to. I left a message about my terrible experiences. Now waiting to see if I get a response that does not include, “My bad!”

the hotel wasn't in bad shape, for being a non-smoking room we could tell it had been smoked in, cigarette burns, smoke detector missing, just wires hanging down. went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and the stool had leaked a bunch of water out on the floor. this isn't the hotels fault , but kids were running up and down the hallway right outside our room almost up till midnight, didn't get much sleep. my mattress felt like i was sleeping on a sidehill, low on one side and higher on the other. not sure if i'll stay there again

The area was not well lit on the exterior. It was hard to see the entrance. The hotel had a strange smell.

I would have given it all 5 stars but they were having issues with tv reception or something like that. Our first room we couldn't get our tv to work. The person at the reception desk came and tried to get it to work, but after 10 minutes it still wouldn't. TV came on but could not watch anything. He was nice enough to move us to another bigger room to make up for it.

We stayed overnight in Rochester due to an early morning 7:30am appointment at the Mayo Clinic and traveling with (2) animals we chose a pet friendly hotel and couldnt be more appreciative and thankful for La Quinta existence!
Staff were very friendly and helpful in providing information regarding accessibility to the Mayo Clinic via public transportation,,,the hotel is clean, quiet and in a great location; would definitely recommend staying here.

The first night hot tub was cold, I had goose bumps that should never be the case in a hot tub. Then next 2 nights of our stay the pool and hot tub were closed. I was here for medical and the hot tub was a huge part of why I stayed here. The bathtub in our room did not drain well and had a ring around it. On further travels I will not choose this Motel again.

We unfortunately were at the property when the pool and spa were down, but we were not informed of that before or during the time the reservation was made. That would've been a reason to book elsewhere.

There were only 2 towels in my room upon arrival; no shower mat, no blanket only sheets on the bed. The temps were -0 outside. The coffee was never hot—no maid service. The entry driveway had not been cleared of snow - many vehicles had trouble maneuvering the driveway.

I left an item in the room. I went back to go get the item and it is gone. I do not believe the front desk person who said that it was not there. I am 200% positive I left it there. As soon as I noticed it was left I went back immediately. Within 30 minutes. Because of the item a Stanley mug given to me by my grandkids, and the popularity of the item I believe either cleaning or front desk person took it. Extremely disappointed by this. Will never recommend your establishment or use it again when I need to be in Rochester for appts.

NO HEAT! Room temp 65 degrees - Unit ran all night - 66 degrees.
When you arrive they have the unit off - trying to save energy.
Maintenance needs to go around and check these units, to see if they're working. It would be nice to have some heat when you're in Minnesota.

The quality of the room was good. The traditional in room coffee pot did not work. Ice machines were available but not functioning on the floor we reserved. The pool area looked inviting but was closed during our stay. No in-house store was available.

I booked this hotel in town to take my grandchildren swimming over the holiday break. When we went to check-in they told us the pools were closed due to lack of proper chemicals, so we did not stay. I contacted Expedia, whom we have used for numerous years with satisfaction. Upon reaching out to the hotel Expedia informed us that they would not refund our money because we did not cancel in time. However, it never occurred to me to contact the hotel before our stay to find out if they ordered the proper chemicals to insure the pool was functional for our stay. I find this to be not only a disappointment to my grandchildren for their vacation, but also to me that they are willing to honor their commitment to honor what they sold us.

The hotel/price was a good deal. The front desk was efficient but unprofessional. They did the job but for example when you walked by they would have their feet up on the desk watching their phone. The bed was fairly old. We had two queen beds and after the first night my wife and I switched to the other bed as the mattress on the first one sagged really bad. The bathtub squeezed bad when we took a shower. Almost thought it was going to drop through the floor.
The lady in the breakfast area was very nice and efficient.
The price was right, location was good, and it was sufficient for a short stay

Staff were great and were so kind! The room we booked (207) had some issues: our beds didn’t have comforters (just 2 flat sheets) and we were told there weren’t any available. We didn’t have any bedding in the room for the pull out couch. Our room didn’t have a phone so we had to go to the desk anytime we needed anything. Finally, we woke up to our bathroom smelling of cigarettes. The manager on duty said they would investigate. We were out all day and didn’t return until late. When we got back, the entire room smelled of cigarettes. Thankfully we were offered to move rooms for our second night there.

Our room was clean. The pool was shut down but we were not told that upon check in and we had our pool gear with us at the desk. The lady who ran breakfast complained to almost every guest about having to work and rushed us out on our last morning because she had an appointment. When we asked for extra towels and washcloths they had no clean washcloths. We did get an extra bed and one time extra towels.

The room was clean but only had two towels for four guest. There were no snacks in the lobby no soda in the vending machines. The hotel lobby had a smell that was awful. I told them that my coffee pot was broken they did nothing about it. The staff were a whole other story. This was a lot to take in when we were in town for mayo appointments. Would NOT recommend!!!

Room was comfortable and appeared clean. But on our 2nd night there we saw a roach behind the night stand. In a newer development area and close to eating and shopping. Short drive from Mayo Clinic. Staff was fine.

Spa heater broken, treadmills don’t work, laundry machine doesn’t work, ice machine was broken, shower didn’t have warm water and backed up in tub, no hair dryer, breakfast was terrible, and they don’t give you enough towels or toilet paper.

Long hair on bathroom floor and in bathtub when we checked in. Low occupancy during our stay, but we were still put on the top floor across from someone who LEFT THEIR DOG ALONE IN THE ROOM. No, none, not a bit of hskpg between first and second night.

Hotel was clean and inviting. Parking lot was clean and well lined. Had good breakfasts the days we stayed and staff in the cafeteria was very friendly and prompt on keeping items filled that i observed.

The pool pumps were not working so the pool was closed, 1 of 2 elevators was out of order, drawers in our room would not close (they had tape on them to keep them closed but it was old) shower tub made so much noise when you stepped on it it woke up my daughter

Our first room was dirty so we had to get a second room. Pool was closed and staff gave differing excuses as to why. This was not stated prior to check in or we would have booked a different hotel. Overall highly dissatisfied with the staff and hotel
