Located on the campus of CIS, this spacious home has plenty of room to spread out. Layout is strange, lots of uneven stairs not so great for anyone with mobility issues. Stunning, peaceful grounds. Good location. Great value.

A little out of the way, but close enough to Santa Elena. A little troublesome for some tours to find you for pick up, but overall very nice.

We enjoyed staying at this property. The only drawback was the inconsistency of hot water in the shower. We had two rooms and on both the first and second floors, we experienced hot water shower issues. The water would get hot and then after a minute it would turn completely cold. If we let it run for several minutes more, the hot water would return, only to turn cold again after a minute.

Lovely view nice clean condo. The chairs were very uncomfortable and salt and pepper and dishwasher detergent would be nice. The roads getting there were horrific. I wouldnt go back unless i was staying longer.

The villa we stayed at was amazing and had everything! We were able to cook, do laundry and it was a short walk to restaurants & the downtown area. It was also close to Monteverde Cloud Forest and easy to get there with a transfer. Right outside our villa was also the perfect place to watch the sunset. Communication was easy and the place was easy to find! We definitely recommend people visiting the area to stay here!

Loved that there qas a washer and drier to use. Too bad they were out of laundry soap. They siad they would get some there right away. That ended yo the next afternoon. We were there three nights and the drier really helped, no no real worry.

What a fantastic place to enjoy the beauty of Monteverde. Beds were incredibly comfortable and the courtyard area was beautiful. No A/C, which would have been nice, but we managed. Nice kitchen area which we didn't get to use but would be wonderful for longer stays. Very clean and walkable to restaurants and shops.

Great property for a peaceful vacation getaway. The main door didn’t have a lock but since the neighborhood was safe it wasn’t a big concern.

Casas del Toro Monteverde has beautiful little apartments in a beautiful building with beautiful grounds. Laundry is included which is a big help. It is within walking distance to many attractions, and if you have a car, parking is no problem. I found the staff at CPI school which owns the accomodation to be very helpful. The person, Christian who took me to my space, arranged a night hike for me that very day. He was very gracious, and professional. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

The grounds of the property are beautiful. The sunsets across the gulf and mountains were spectacular. A grocery store is less than a ten minute walk. There are restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops ten minutes in either direction with sidewalks. The weather was great. The scenery is spectacular.

Pasamos unos dias muy lindos en Casas del Toro. Nos gusto mucho la tranquilidad y limpieza . La cocina muy completa. Aunque es una zona fria , las habitaciones se calientan y un aire acondicionado puede funcionar bien.

Casas del Toro Monteverde was an amazing reprieve and respite during my journey around Costa Rica. Traveling solo, the communication on where to go and how to get the keys, as well as showing around the property upon arrival and security of parking were immense pleasures. The place itself is gorgeous and has amazing views, along with amenities needed during a short or long stay. The bed was also amazingly comfortable. Would highly recommend.

What a spacious house. Four bedrooms with five bathrooms. The house was perfect for our family of five. The house is located on the premises of the Spanish Immersion Institute, which is clean and gated. The staff was friendly and helpful. The house is close to the Monteverde Cloud Forest and other area attractions. You can walk to town if you desire. The house was the perfect setting for our family to spend time together under one roof instead of multiple rooms. If you are in Monteverde and you have a large family/group, I highly recommend you stay here. You won’t be disappointed.

Lovely grounds and apartment, fantastic location, friendly and efficient check-in. Overall great experience; however, a few bumps. Very noisy at night during high winds (some sort of metal banging sound on the roof) and lots of barking dogs and a rooster crowing nonstop starting around 5 am each day. Totally not the fault of the property owners, but a bit annoying. There were also quite a few ants and one cockroach in the bathroom, and the shower just sort of dribbled on you, no real pressure. The beds were comfortable, although my daughter found a used Band-aid stuck to one of the extra blanket in the closet. Yuck. That said, the apartment was freshened up each day, and it was great to have a kitchen for when we didn't want to go out to eat.

The property is beautiful and has a wonderful garden and outdoor area. Our room had great view of the ocean, forests, and garden and was a big space that didnt feel cramped at all. Its easy to walk to many restaurants and stores and it is a great juming off point for seeing Monteverde or Santa Elena. Our only problem was that we didnt know that check-in was at the CPI Spanish school down the road (I dont think this was mentioned on the listing, or we missed it) so when we arrived, there was no reception and we were a bit confused, but it was sorted out without too much delay. Staff is friendly and nice.

This was a fantastic hotel. High up in the mountain the view was fantastic and we didn't need to go anywhere for the fantastic sunset view. The birds right outside in the garden, that was also fantastic, was amazing. The service was great. Both Lucrecia, Rolando and Munira helped immediately with all activities and all our requests. Housekeeping was also fantastic and they even made our dishes. The hotel does not have a restaurant but you could cook breakfast and even dinner in the apartment. I travel a lot and stay at a lot of hotels. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Everything about Casa del Tores Is excellent. The property and apartment is stunningly beautiful and spotless clean. The staff has been extremely helpful and has made our stay in Monteverde wonderful. Thank you to Brandon at the front desk! He helped arrange tours and gave us excellent ideas for restaurants and activities. Wish we had more time here! Amazing location and scenery!

The property was a great price for having a full kitchen and the view was gorgeous, but the walls are thin so a lot is heard in neighboring rooms. It was also extremely difficult to find, especially in the dark, so make sure you have very clear understanding of location and also important to have a 4x4 to get to the property.

I had read the reviews before booking and had a high expectation. Casas Del Toro met my expectation and happy that I booked a villa in Casas Del Toro. It was clean and very spacious. Nicely maintained garden in front of the room/villa. I will write about a small difficulty I had while checking-in. I am writing this to make others aware of it and not to discourage others. I was aware of the process of check-in and went to CPI School. I reached around 7PM it was dark the gate was closed and didn't know what next to do, then realized that there is a intercom near the big gate. Somebody responded and remotely opened the gate, went inside then I was not sure whether to go straight or go to right, actually the office was straight ahead. Heard some voices from right and went through another gate to right then realized that I came to a wrong place and when I tried to go back found the gate closed. Then I knocked a door may be he was a guest and he opened the gate for me and that time I saw the receptionist/guard came looking for me.

Beautiful location, plenty of space, private home-y feel. An important tip though, you need to check in at CPI, the immersion school nearby before going to the casa. That was unclear on booking and felt confusing, if not wrong, when we drove in, but staff was super friendly and made sure we knew where to go from there.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable for a family with children. There is a small kitchen, and a washer and dryer on site which was convenient. The location is excellent, less than 5 minutes from the main town.

The accommodation was more apartment than hotel and it far surpassed our expectations. The suite was huge, with a full kitchen, dining room, spacious bathroom and large bedroom. The views out the kitchen window were the best part. Check in is at the end of road, so it’s a little walk, but not that bad and well worth it. It was a $3 taxi to any restaurant and we called the taxi from the phone provided in the room. $12 taxi to Monteverde Reserve. Washer and dryer were just down the stairs from our room. We really had no complaints and would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Monteverde. It is a fantastic accommodation at a fantastic price.

The location was excellent, the grounds of the Spanish Immersion school were beautiful and well maintain. We booked last minute for one night as we decided to head to Monteverde. We booked the family room, which gave us plenty for room for our two couples. The staff was great and helpful and were fluent in both English and Spanish. We were given helpful tips, maps, and guides to food and shopping in the city, which was walkable or a $3 cab ride. In the morning, it was a short 15 minute drive to the cloud forest reserve. Highly recommended for anyone staying in the area.

The apartment was spacious and very clean. The grounds were beautiful. We had a car, which we were able to park securely inside the gate. We did see a lot of people walking into town, but we drove. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed, large bedroom, a dining area, good size kitchen and nice bathroom. We had a room with an outdoor courtyard with a table out front.
