Our stay for my bday was great get an away and the communication with the host was stellar. She even text, emailed & messaged through the VRBO app(important because if you fat finger your email address in the VRBO app while booking learned the hard way w another host you’ll never received anything but will be charged) Arriving was easy. Short drive to hiking at parks! Dog friendly while still very fresh spotless and clean! Still has that “in the woods on the Mtn “ feel. Host even left a few local goodies. Deposit returned quicker after clean check out. 2 great bedrooms with full bathroom. Only thing missing was a hot tub (maybe one will be added later bc there’s great space) & later check out time when your on vacation, it’s at 10am.

We stayed here for a spur of the moment weekend getaway to celebrate my wife’s birthday and to ring in the new year. This place was perfect for our needs. Our main concern was would it truly be pet friendly. Without a doubt YES. The porch was fenced in so we didn’t have to worry about our furry family member accidentally getting loose. The property manager, Misti, was truly a phone call away and answered our needs. This was probably the easiest getaway from beginning to end that I’ve ever experienced. We had goodies waiting on us that included the world famous Little Debbie Christmas Tree cakes, coffee, popcorn, hot chocolate, teas, local homemade soap, and a gift voucher for breakfast for two at the Hatter Cafe. That place was phenomenal. Some of the food choices were unique and some were common. We loved it! The service was top notch too. Back to the cabin. It was secluded enough for us. We had one neighbor we could see easily and one we could see through the trees. They put on a fireworks show we could watch from our front porch. This was the perfect getaway. We highly recommend this 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin.

The Coyote Cabin was a beautiful, quiet place to relax and enjoy nature. It is perfectly located in the middle of the woods, away from noise and everyday distractions. The big picture window let us view the tops of the trees and the leaves falling, we enjoyed our coffee on the big front porch, and we could hear the leaves fall on the tin roof - It was magical. The cabin itself is clean and well-kept with so many little extra amenities - good coffee, snacks, even a gift voucher for a local cafe. The cabin is so nicely decorated and warm without being overly done. To top it off, Misti, the property manager, was fantastic at communication! She was easy to reach and always quick to respond. Her warm personality made the experience enjoyable from the very beginning. We highly recommend the Coyote Cabin and will be staying here again ourselves.

We were very happy with our stay. Here are some of our highlights. We have a 18-month-old baby so the gate at the top of the stairs and the lack of breakable decor down low gave us much-needed peace to enjoy our stay. What we loved the most is this is the cleanest and most well-thought-out Vrbo we have stayed in and what is most surprising is it's the first dog-friendly vrbo we stayed in. Everything felt new and fresh. This cabin is an easy drive to DeSoto Falls or Mentone making it the perfect getaway with family, friends, or an anniversary. It is well stocked to wash a generous amount of dishes in the dishwasher, laundry, and supplies to keep the place clean and comfortable during your stay. Things that we felt were thoughtful were the goat soap, coffee, snacks, a few kitchen staples, and the breakfast vouchers. Do not skip out on the breakfast at Hatters Cafe. The service, atmosphere, and food were exceptional. We have only good things to say about our stay this weekend. Thank you for having us.

My wife and I had wanted visit the Fort Payne area of Alabama for along time, we finally decided make the trip to see the fall colors and get away from the heat and humidity of S. Fl. I found Peaceful Retreats by accident on line, liked what I saw, and booked a cabin for our getaway to the mountains. I have to say our whole experience was fantastic. The booking process was straight forward and easy. The staff was pleasant, informative and helpful. The cabin we stayed in was perfect, well appointed, and immaculately clean. And the setting was just what the "doctor" ordered, it truly was a peaceful retreat. I highly recommend a stay. Sincerely, Brian L.

We booked the Coyote Cabin last minute for a quick weekend getaway! It was perfect! Very peaceful and secluded but just minutes away from Desoto State Park, Fort Payne and Mentone. The cabin was nice and neat with all the amenities that you would need! The coffee Misti provides is phenomenal! We enjoyed the fire pit, hammock and walking trail across from the cabin! There are plenty of things to do near by. We enjoyed horseback riding, hiking, swimming and the beautiful views! There is also a lot of yummy places to eat within minutes of the cabin. A few we enjoyed were the Rim of the Canyon Cafe, Mater’s Pizza, Mentone Market, the Hatter’s Cafe and our personal fave, Taco Town! The list of attractions and dining recommendations was very helpful as we were for time visitors to the area!! We came home feeling refreshed and renewed and will definitely be back to Coyote Cabin!!!
