Step outside into your screened and furnished lanai and watch boats pass by on the water or take a few steps down onto your private dock where you can drop in in one of the provided kayaks or the canoe for a paddle along Long Cut Preserve with kayak trails and hidden lagoons. You can watch manatees and dolphins play by day and marine life attracted to underwater dock light by night. This home also includes a desk in one of the bedrooms for remote work or school, central air-conditioning, a private washer/dryer, and a gas grill to help you spice up your home-cooked menu. Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. We stayed after Christmas at Lavender Life in Saint James City. We loved this area. Not your typical strip mall Florida. It is a beautiful island with tons of restaurant and bar options, but no chain restaurants. There isn’t even a traffic light on the island. We loved getting in the provided kayaks and exploring the mangrove trails, hidden lagoons and wildlife. The fishing gear for guests was a big plus. I even caught a few small fish that were hanging around the fish light. We traveled for the first time with our infant. Having a porta crib was helpful for us. The house is brand new and had everything that we needed. They provided spices and grilling supplies as well as coffee, tea, toiletries, laundry and dishwasher pods. This was the relaxing getaway we needed. We plan to come back with our boat to take advantage of the dock and explore Pine Island Sound and the Gulf.
