We are delighted that you have chosen our vacation rental in Blankenese and extend a warm welcome to you.
Our vacation rental was completed in November 2022 and has been lovingly furnished for you. We hope you’ll feel right at home here. From our house, you can reach the shopping street in the village center, all the parks, the “Treppenviertel” neighborhood, and the Elbe River on foot in just a few minutes.
The beach, with its ferry terminal and two sailing clubs, as well as several beautiful parks, invite you to take relaxing walks.
The vacation rental is located in the same building as our restaurant, Steak House Rio Grande.

By booking this vacation rental, you agree to the following house rules.
House Rules/Terms and Conditions for the Vacation Rental
Our vacation rental is a smoke-free property.
We therefore ask that you DO NOT smoke inside the apartment. Thank you very much.
Please let us know your estimated arrival time if it differs from the specified check-in times. The key card will be handed over as individually arranged.
We provide bed linens for the duration of your stay. You do not need to remove the sheets before your departure.
Please return used dishes to the cabinets clean and dry; there is no need to strip the beds.
Before you leave, please simply pile all used towels in a heap on the floor.
Bathroom.
To prevent limescale buildup, please wipe down the tiles and glass in the shower after showering.
Leave the window open—and, if possible, the door as well—to air out the room.
Do not throw or pour any hygiene products, trash, food scraps, harmful liquids, grease, or similar items into the shower or toilet, as this can cause unpleasant clogs. Please use the facilities provided.
Damage
No one intentionally damages property, but accidents can happen to anyone. Should this occur, we ask that you be sure to report the damage to us immediately so that we do not discover it only after your departure during the final cleaning.
The guest is liable for damages in the amount of the replacement costs.
Bedding
Unless otherwise agreed, the cost of the final cleaning is included in the total price. It is calculated based on a standard cleaning service. If you would like an additional cleaning, please let us know!
Hair Dryer
We provide a hair dryer for the duration of your stay. You’ll find it in the cabinet under the sink.
Liability
The landlord is not liable for the guest(s)’ valuables.
Towels
We provide towels for the duration of your stay. You’ll find additional towels in the cabinet under the sink.
Please simply leave the used towels on the floor before you leave. First-aid kit
A small first-aid kit is available in case of an emergency; you’ll find it in the cabinet under the sink. However, we hope you won’t need to use it.
House Rules
Under certain circumstances, it may be necessary for the landlord to enter the vacation rental without the guest’s knowledge.
Pets
Pets are allowed in the apartment.
Internet/Wi-Fi
Wireless Internet access (Wi-Fi) is available in the vacation rental. The
access code is posted inside the vacation rental.
Crib/High Chair
Upon request, we will provide you with a travel crib, including bedding, and/or a high chair free of charge. Please let us know what you need when you make your reservation.PGJyPgKitchenPGJyPgThe kitchen has been completely renovated. Please treat the kitchen furnishings and appliances with care. Please return dishes to the cabinets only when they are dry and clean. The same applies to cutlery, pots, and appliances you have used. Please put everything back the way you would like to find it yourself.
Do not throw or pour any waste, food scraps, harmful liquids, grease, or similar substances into the sink, as this can cause unpleasant clogs.
Ventilation
To prevent mold growth, please ventilate the rooms sufficiently—at least one thorough airing (5–10 minutes) per day, and especially after showering.
Trash
Since we are required to separate trash, we ask that you help us with this.
Trash must be sorted as follows:
- Packaging materials (yellow bag), i.e., all packaging with the Green Dot.
- Paper (blue trash can). The bin for this is located by the coat check.
- Organic waste (green bin), i.e., fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee filters, tea bags, etc. - General waste (anything not covered by the first two categories)
- We will dispose of glass bottles and returnable bottles for you upon request.
We provide trash bags for your use.
You may park directly in the courtyard in front of the vacation rental. Additional public parking spaces are located in the immediate vicinity.
In the event of a last-minute failure of furnishings, public utilities, or due to force majeure, there is no entitlement to a price reduction. Any defects in the vacation rental must be reported to the landlord immediately. The guest shall grant the landlord a reasonable period of time to remedy the defects. Complaints made at a later date will not be accepted and cannot be taken into account.
Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited in our vacation rental. Damage such as burn marks and holes in or on furniture, flooring, bedding, etc., will result in us having to charge you for the replacement cost.
Smoking is permitted on the entire property. Please
do not discard cigarette butts on the ground; instead, place them in the provided ashtrays or in the general waste bin.
Cleaning
If you happen to have an accident (extreme dirt, liquids on the floor or countertops, etc.), please clean it up immediately. Brooms, dustpans, a vacuum cleaner, and cleaning supplies are available. You can obtain a bucket and mop in the main house.
We ask that you leave the vacation rental swept clean upon departure and return all used dishes to the cabinets, clean and dry.
The front door can only be opened from the outside with a key card. Please do not close the door carelessly; instead, make sure you have your key card with you. The front door should always be kept closed and locked with the key card when leaving the house. Likewise, all windows must be closed when leaving the apartment to prevent potential damage from severe weather or break-ins.

Additional Services
Upon request or by arrangement, we offer additional extras such as a refrigerator/bread roll service or the organization of a barbecue or bonfire evening. Please discuss the various options and prices with us in advance. We have our own restaurant located 800 m from the vacation rental. If you’re interested,
please feel free to contact us. We can offer you breakfast, lunch, and dinner at an attractive price.
