Timeless beautiful property located in the heart of the French quarter.

It was quaint. Close to our needs
Too much late hour drinking and partying in and out of the pool area. The guests did not honor the rules nor did the staff enforce the hour rule.

Beautiful rooms and great location! The lady at the front desk was nice. She was really the only nice one we encountered. The rooms are historic. Beds are comfy.
The staff was not friendly and they expected to be tipped for every little thing despite having bad attitudes. At check-out, the attendant in the lobby refused to give us a luggage cart because he insisted to do it for us (to get tipped). When I said we could manage our own luggage, he held the luggage cart hostage and refused to give it to us. I was like…are you serious?? So we had to have our young children carry bags from the very opposite end of the hotel to the car simply because he was messing with us. I’ve traveled the world and have never seen such a thing!

The setting/atmosphere
I miss the morning croissants coffee/juice and the little trees that provided welcome shade and greenery by the front courtyard fountain.

The rooms were beautiful along with the courtyard. Such a gem and the location was perfect being right off of Jackson square.

Location and the history
The man parking the cars made us turn our vehicle off before we checked in and it was over 100’
Then they hold $100 for parking and says they will return $55 and it’s been 3 weeks and still pending

We love Place d'Armes. We have stayed there several times. Love the old New Orleans vibe and the history of the place. Location is great. A block from Jackson Square and 3 blocks from Bourbon Street (the proximity but far enough from the noise. And they have a great, secured parking lot (admit it...that's a concern in The Big Easy).

The last 2 nights our room leaked above the bathroom door. When you went to the bathroom it was like walking thru rain drops.

It is conveniently located to just about everything. Just a short walk to get a variety of food, and it's just half a block from Jackson Square.
My shower had a glass sliding door that would not stay closed. It kept opening and letting water out, creating a puddle in the bathroom. I also had to ask for room to be cleaned on the 4th day of my stay when I noticed housekeeping kept skipping my room.

Location was great in the French quarter. Everyone was very accommodating.
We did not have a room with a window or balcony and was not told during booking it was a windowless room. We knew the second room did not have a window and that was ok with the other person traveling with us.

Place D'Armes is in the perfect location close to everything in the French Quarter. One block from Jackson Square and one block from Bourbon Street. They have parking on site for a nominal charge, rooms are beautiful and comfortable. They have gorgeous courtyards and a lovely pool too. All of the staff was outstanding and friendly. I would recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay in New Orleans.

Location was amazing! The staff was SO accommodating and friendly! I loved the overall atmosphere, and the history of the place. The room was nice and spacious and very comfortable. The balcony was an added bonus!

..but our room was lovely. I will say thin walls, we could hear the couple next door arguing quite loudly, lol.
Wish the little bar in the magnolia courtyard was still in use, and maybe just a coffee station in the little sitting area where they used to have a continental breakfast. All in all an excellent stay, excellent location, and of course...EXCELLENT staff all around. Will most definately be back!

We arrived early and were able to park our car and stow our bags at the hotel while we toured the French Quarter. The staff was very friendly and wanted to make sure that we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and New Orleans in general.

The hotel is close to everything I wanted to see and do yet was in a more quiet area.
I loved the courtyard area because pre COVID you could get coffee and pastries and read the paper there, but now they don’t do it anymore. So sad.

The location is great. Walking distance to everything we were doing. The rooms are beautiful and the balcony was nice to sit out on and people watch. The staff was very good. They have their own parking garage.

The rooms were nice and clean. The location was perfect.
I would have preferred to have an option for parking. It was an additional 42.00 per day added after our stay, which negated the reasonable reservation prices. The front desk staff was rude and we had to wait almost two hours for housekeeping to finish our room in order for us to check in.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathroom was well designed. The beds were quite comfortable. The room was very clean. The wifi was reliable and reasonably fast. The hotel is located in an old stylish building. Its location is perfect.
The room was windowless. Had we have made the reservation through the hotel website we would have known it ahead of time. But the lack of window was not indicated on the Booking.com website. So, it was a disappointment when we arrived. Nevertheless the room eventually turned out quite comfortable. The only significant problem was the noise coming from the corridor late at night and early in the morning. The hotel should add some sound-proof insulation to the door (there was none).

This is a great location-close to everything..walked to Cafe Dumond for breakfast! Jackson Square steps away..Bourbon a block...parking was easy and on site..can't recall exact charge per day of parking. We will definitely return! The room was super comfy as well-great beds..nicely appointed while reserving the historic aspects of the building.

The place was 1/2 block off the square in the French Quarter. Our courtyard balcony was perfect to enjoy a cup of coffee on the morn and glass of wine in the eve. Pool was cold but didn't plan on using it. Concierge were friendly and helpful. It took awhile to get hot water too the room but was plenty hot when it did come.
